'Pacific View' is a 3-bed/2-bath (sleeps 6-8) 2000 sq.ft. private home on Gull Drive in the Bodega Harbor subdivision of Bodega Bay. It backs up to the 1st Tee of the Bodega Harbor Golf course and has gorgeous views of Bodega Head, Doran Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The house is well-laid out with vaulted ceilings in all rooms, beautiful wood molding, skylights and tall picture windows. There are 2 beach access trails off of Gull Drive so you are literally minutes from the water.
Layout of House: All bedrooms/kitchen/bathrooms/dining room are located on the main-level. The living room is on the upper level-up about 6 carpeted steps with a railing. 2-car garage. There are 2 low-level cement steps and 2 wooden steps prior to front door. As you enter the front door on the main floor the Master Bedroom is to your right & sits facing the front of the home with ocean views from all its windows. This a large room with a King size bed, TV/Cable/DVD/VHS. There is also a separate full bath with double vanity/toilet closet in this room. Room is large with a trundle bed in it as well (2-twins...great for kids). The beds have reading lamps for all guests.
The Dining rm/Kitchen is on the main floor as well. The kitchen is fully-equipped and the dining table sits next to it and seats 8 guests. We keep the pantry stocked with various seasonings, teas, coffee, foil, saran wrap...etc. There are two decks off these rooms. A deck to the back facing the golf course with 2-lounge chairs and an enclosed deck to the side with the hot-tub. The hot-tub deck is enclosed with a 4.5 foot fence with a barked in area behind it. Here sits a Weber propane barbecue as well.
Bedrooms 2 & 3 are in the back wing of the house. Quite often we hear that guests love the 'quiet' layout of the home. Both these rooms are spacious with vaulted ceilings , Queen beds/TV/DVD. Both have reading lamps for all guests. All King and Queen beds have memory foam Pure Comfort Mattress Topper's on them making for a comfortable night's sleep!
The 2nd full bath is along this same hallway and houses the laundry closet (washer/dryer). These back rooms have a view of the golf course. The 3rd bedroom has a water view from its front facing windows.
The Living Room upstairs has wonderful views out 4 very large picture windows. There are two vacant lots across from us which add to the open view. Beautiful sunsets and a great view of Doran Beach, Bodega Head and Pacific Ocean beyond. Lrg. Screen TV/DVD/VHS, stero-cd player, bookcase with a lrg. assortment of books & magazines, and a lrg. assortment of DVD's & VHS tapes. Leather couches and a fireplace in this spacious room make it a wonderfully relaxing area to spend with family/friends.
Families: For guests with kids we have located in closets: hi-chair, swing, infant seat, playpen, toy box, jogging stroller (garage). Closet full of games & Nintendo Video games.
Beach items: Beach blankets, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, ice chests, sand toys located in garage. We even keep a beach pass for families wanting to drive to the State Beach at Doran entrance with all their 'stuff' saving you the $6 parking fee.
What do we/guests love most about the home? The house has a very open uncluttered feel with all the sunlight from skylights/windows and vaulted ceilings. Love being able to walk out the front door and hit the beach in 2-3 min. The Master Bdrm in the front and the Guests Bdrms in the back wing of the home give a measure of privacy to couples/families with kids. We clean the home ourselves so know it's clean, functioning and is always well stocked with soap/paper products/supplies. Extra pillows/blankets in all rooms. Free long-distance calling to USA/Canada as well. A home away from home without all the 3C's: chores, clutter & chaos.

Why the Owner Chose Bodega Bay
Dave has worked over the years on many of the homes in the Harbor and we'd grown to love driving out to this area. When the opportunity to own a home of our own appeared we jumped on the offer. We feel very fortunate to be a part of the Bodega Harbor Community.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Doran Beach is a wonderful location to enjoy with children; Armstrong Woods with its majestic redwood trees; Hwy 1 is a beautiful scenic Drive; the restaurants in the Bodega Bay area are fabulous!; Close drive to everything but far enough to feel like you are away from everything!
As a family that travels we so appreciate when owners have pre-stocked THEIR homes well. I like to think we've done the same. A fully stocked kitchen with foil/ziplocks...dishes/pots & pans that are in GOOD shape...wine/bar glasses...seasonings; family supplies that include games, baby gear, beach supplies.... A home that functions and is clean is what I look for in a home. A hot tub that sparkles and works is a MUST. These are things we look for in homes we rent and they are a must in our own.

ABOUT US: We've owned this home and invited friends & family to share it since 2001. We also own another home on Gull Drive. Dave is a Contractor with licensing in Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical. He runs ACRAT Plumbing and Heating. Debbie is an RN who currently runs Bodega Bay Rentals & cares for the kids. We are active in our community as well as in the lives of our 3 young children. It is our hope that families will discover the beauty and warmth of our home while creating lifelong memories during their stay. When not hanging at the beach were usually working on our ranches or doing a school/community activity with the kids.

The house was amazing. The kitchen had everything imaginable. The furnishings throughout were super comfortable. Every imaginable amenity from video games and movies, geocaching gps and info; family games and toys. Great ocean views. A nice place for walks. Right on the golf course. There were long beautiful beaches close by. The local restaurants are great. Be sure and visit Occidental for the Italian food at Negris or the Union Hotel and definitely go to Osmosis spa in Freestone. It is truly amazing. Gorgeous Japanese gardens there. There is a local ranch where you can go horseback riding on the beach. The kids loved it. The owners made the process of renting very simple. All in all - one of the best vacations ever.

We love this home. This was our 2nd stay here & it was a fabulous time. The house has everything you need, I mean everything. Just pack clothes & food. We were there Thurs.-Sun & we only left by car once to pick up crab & oysters from Lucas Wharf & a short jont into Occidental & to Bodega Head to whale watch. The rest of the time was spent relaxing, enjoying the gorgeous view, piecing together a puzzle, in the hot tub, or on the beach. The weather was incredible! And the sunsets were un-real! Absolutely amazing, we took the most incredible pictures, you'd think they were Photoshopped! I'd highly recommend a January stay as this time of year seems to be fantastic in Bodega Bay! We took my teenage daughter this time & she fell in love with the house! One thing that is great, that even though it is a good sized home, it is open enough that even if you are in separate rooms you still feel connected! I love that! The only complaint is that eventually you have to leave & go back to reality! lol Thanks again for a fantastic trip! Til next time...

We enjoy the view from the family room most. We found the house very comfortable and well stocked (kitchen, entertainment, etc). We felt well taken care, with clear house instructions and little touches like the treat for the dog. Thank you very much.

This is truly a 5-star home and was perfect for our 3 generation family (84 years to 12 years. So many amenities which we never expected, but was so very helpful - down to shampoo in the bathrooms. My favorite was the wonderful recliner placed in the corner of the living room with a fantastic ocean view - such peace and solitude. Thank you Debbie and Dave for your thoughtfulness in sharing your home- I would highly recommend it for a vacation to Bodega Bay.

My husband and I rented the Pacific View House so that our two adult children and their spouses could come over for the weekend to visit, since we live in Southern California and they live in two different areas of Northern California. The house was lovely with beautiful views of Bodega Bay and the marina area. We appreciated the fact that the house was nicely maintained with lots of extras like games, beach equipment, items for children, and, since we like to cook, a well-stocked kitchen with pantry basics, nice quality pots and pans, and other cooking tools. A large hot tub, seating for 8 at the dining table, comfortable beds in 3 bedrooms and a large living room with great views make this a perfect spot for a group to enjoy. The area is pretty on a golf course and overlooking the ocean and there are plenty of surrounding areas to explore; the River's End restaurant at Jenner with views of the Russian River flowing into the ocean is one of the many nice experiences we had. Finally, the owner was very accommodating and left instructions that were clear and concise. We will recommend this place to friends or relatives interested in visiting the Bodega Bay area.
