HISTORY OF THE CODY HOUSE
Architect William F. Cody built the “Third Home on the Hill” in 1964 for inventor Stanley Goldberg. At this time, Architectural Digest showcased the home as a definitive example of contemporary desert architecture. Since 1964, the home has been modernized and upgraded, but has kept the mid-century sensibility by retaining furniture and artwork original to the era.
This Palm Springs luxury home was featured in Architectural Digest in 1967 and has been featured in many photo shoots for the fashion industry. All furniture, fixtures and art are from designers such as Paul Evans, Mies van der Rohe, Richard Schultz, George Nelson and Frieda Koblick.
Many celebrities return to this house and accept no other in Palm Springs. Robert Redford remarked, "The Perfect Quintessential Palm Springs Home."
