Very convenient to everything Orleans has to offer. Our well appointed home is just a short drive or bike-ride to beaches, town cove or town center. Within walking distance are: pizza/sandwich-deli and coffee-shop; ice-cream stand; fresh food market featuring fruits, vegetables, seafood, meats, beer and wine; two restaurants (Italian and Contemporary) and a post office. Boating access and sea-kayak rentals are just 1-mile away at town cove.

This home is in immaculate condition having been completely redecorated and newly furnished. Two large master bedrooms with queen-beds and two more bedrooms each offering twin-beds make this home ideal for two families or extended families. For added comfort, all bedrooms include air-conditioning against the summer heat.

The rear deck overlooking the large backyard is perfect for outdoor play, relaxation or enjoying a meal. There is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot/cold water for quick rinse-offs after a day at the beach.

The home is set-up for wireless internet service, printer and every bedroom even has it's own TV with expanded cable service!

Orleans marks the beginning of Nauset Beach, one of the most beautiful and popular of the Cape’s beaches. Nauset Beach is a wide sweep of sand bounded by high dunes. On the bay side, Skaket Beach offers calmer, warmer waters and at low tide, water is only knee-deep a half mile out. Rock Harbor is the center of the local fishing industry and charter boat rentals. Sunsets over Rock Harbor or Skaket Beach are memorable. Orleans is also the commercial hub of the Lower Cape, with many specialty shops and excellent restaurants.

The nearby Cape Cod Rail Trail runs through town along an abandoned railbed. This trail is great for biking or hiking and runs nearly 20 miles from Dennis to Eastham, passing by salt marshes, cranberry bogs, and ponds.

Classic Cape - Just Right for Family Vacations Near the Shore!

Year Purchased: 2005

Why the Owner Chose Orleans

This home combines the perfect amenities for a summer vacation - location, size and affordability for families looking for comfortable, fully-furnished living. We also love the fact that our home is within walking or biking distance of the many things to see and do in and around Orleans.

The Unique Benefits at this House

We really enjoy walking the grassy path along the cranberry bog at the end of our private street from which we enjoy seeing waterfowl, hawks and other critters. And then we often treat ourselves at the other end to an ice cream cone from Sundae School, a coffee from one of the variety of markets or shops on Main Street heading toward Nauset Beach, and fresh vegetables from an organic farm stand.

Another favorite treat is to pack up a few munchies with some drinks and take a short drive over to Skaket Beach to watch the sunset - it's always different and is such a delightful way to end the day!

Owner's Map of Orleans

We've travelled a lot of places in the world but having also sailed in and around Cape Cod for many years we've grown to love its shoreline and quintessential New England lifestyle. Our boat is long gone, but we've been able to more than compensate with this beautiful cape-style home in what we feel is an ideal location in Orleans.

Great home and location

We stayed in this beautiful, affordable home during August 2010, and hope to return to it next summer. It's close to everything, yet set away on a large, quiet lot. I was amazed at how nicely decorated and equipped everything was. Huge kitchen with everything you need. We didn't need to use the dining room, since we had a couple of little kids, we primarily used the kitchen to eat. Made for a very nice stay w/ the grandparents, who could enjoy some privacy/quiet of their own since everything is very spacious and each bedroom has a TV. Appreciated the A/C in the bedrooms; most rentals don't have any A/C and it was a hot week. Enjoyed the short walk through the cranberry bog to visit a local vegetable stand and the Sundae School; and use of the outdoor shower and large deck and grill. The only mishap we had was the phone/internet/TV went out for a couple of days; the rental office worked to get it resolved but we weren't very pleased w/ the local service provider who didn't seem too concerned about our problem (aside note to owners). Overall, a great stay! We love E. Orleans and have vacationed there for years; it offers great beaches, shops, and restaurants and we love that we can quickly get to the ocean side and the bay (calmer) side.

Loved this location!

We recently stayed at this lovely home. Backyard was great! When we first got there the grass had not been mowed, but one call to the real estate office and it was mowed within 3 hours! The house had everything we needed and more! The bedrooms were all good sized. Bathrooms were good; downstairs was remodeled and huge. Plenty of room for everyone to find their own space. The kitchen had more utensils that my own! Even ice packs in the freezer to use at the beach! The A/C was especially welcomed as the temps were in the 90s! We made the mistake once before and rented a house w/o AC - never again! Don't care what they say, if you are coming to the Cape June-Sept. and if you do not have direct waterfront you will need AC if only to sleep! This house had AC units in all the bedrooms and plenty of fans to move around the rest of the house to keep the air flowing! If you are looking for a centrally located house in Orleans, this is the one! Definitely keeping this one on file in the future!
