The 2 apartments at the Abel Tasmanstraat have been completely renovated in 2011: they have beautiful new furniture and are freshly painted.
Tasman 1 can accommodate up to 5 people and Tasman 2 up to 10 people. They are suitable for both families and friends and can also be rented together to accommodate larger groups, up to 15 people.
The apartments are located in a historic building on the 2nd floor and have a breathtaking view over the river ‘t IJ, where many historic sailing ships pass each day.
The apartments are equipped with everything you might need during your stay: a coffee maker, a flat screen TV, books, a DVD player, a microwave, dishwasher and much more.
The neighbourhood is trendy and it takes only 10-15 minutes to walk to the Canals. Public transport to the other parts of the city is close by and easily accessible, so you can be in the middle of the centre within no time! This makes it a perfect place to start exploring Amsterdam.
Within 5 minutes walking you can find a Spar supermarket and a Albert Heijn supermarket, as well as many shops, bars and restaurants. Just around the corner is the Bagels and Beans, where you can drink delicious coffee and have breakfast for less than 6 euro! Great things to see on walking distance from the apartment are the Westerpark, which has a market one in a while and is the perfect place for a picnic or moment of relaxation, and the Haarlemmerdijk and straat, which is full of beautiful small shops, bars and restaurants. From here you can go on to explore the whole city, because you are already at the Canals then.
Another recommendation is to visit Haarlem, a beautiful and typical Dutch city only 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central station. It is no large city but there is so much to do, like visiting one of the famous museums (Teylers Museum and Frans Hals Museum for example) and shopping in all the small streets with great shops! This beautiful Penthouse apartment has a stunning view from the top of the building. The apartment has two floors with stairs within the house. It is located in a historic building. The apartment is situated on the 3rd floor with a breathtaking view over the River IJ on a site with historic sailing ships. A large living room, a large wooden table with chairs, and a large 42' Flat Screen TV Cable TV and DVD player. The big kitchen is fully equipped with Microwave, oven, dishwasher and a coffeemaker. On the entry level are the 3 Dutch themed bedrooms with double beds, a balcony and the bathroom. The appartment has 3 bedrooms: There is a Royal Bedroom, a Van Gogh Bedroom and a Flower Bedroom. Visited Amsterdam this december with few friends, lived in this Beautiful apartment. It is a very well furnished apartment and has a beautiful decor. stayed here for a friends stag party weekend, after going in the city, it was great to come back and relax in this beautiful apartment. Near by everything but in a quite zone. We have just returned from a weekend in Amsterdam to celebrate my 50th Birthday ( there were 12 of us) and stayed at these apartments. I just wanted to say that these apartments were lovely in a great location very clean and tidy with plenty of room for us all. The apartment is well situated in the centre of the city but just out of the heat and noise. The place feels very cosy and homely and it is nicely decorated. All the furniture are new and you can't see any signs of use anywhere. The kitchen has everything you can ask for and you can prepare nice home meals during your holiday. All the appliances are new and the TV is very big. After a rough day of shopping around it is nice to come "home" and just lie down and watch some television with your friends and family. After very relaxing 4 days in Amsterdam, we can recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay in a place that has a lot to offer for everyone. Da wir eine größere Gruppe waren, war die Organisation bei uns ein bisschen komplizierter.Thomas( der Vermieter) war aber trotz mehreren Anrufen und Fragen immer total freundlich, unkomliziert, flexibel und entgegenkommend. An dieser Stelle nochmal vielen Dank. Die Wohnung liegt einfach traumhaft. Super Lage: man ist mit dem Bus(Haltestelle direkt vor der Tür) und auch zu Fuss schnell in der Stadt und ist nicht mitten in den stressigen Grachten, sondern hat echt seine Ruhe. Die Wohnung war der Hammer. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten unsere Zeit dort richtig genießen. Die Maisonettewohnung ist wirklich groß und was super ist, dass sich alle Schlafräume +Bad unten befinden und alle Aufenthaltsräume oben. Gerade bei großen Gruppen, für welche die Ferienwohnung bestens geeignet ist. Das Bad war wirklich der oberhammer, man muss sich in einer Gruppe nur gut koordinieren, da halt nur eins vorhanden ist. Wir waren neun Personen und es gab was das Bad anging keine Probleme Super war auch die Stereoanlage, in welche man einfach nur das iPad oder iPhone hineinsteckte konnte. Außerdem gibts auch noch eine wunderschöne Dachterrasse. Alles in allem war die Wohnung einfach nur der Hammer. Ich freu mich schon auf den nächsten Ausflug nach Amsterdam und natürlich werde ich wieder hier übernachten wollen.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.
