Great Mix of Amenities and Activities

Guest: travel agent (marlton, new jersey, usa)
Date of Stay: 07/05/08 Review Submitted: 07/15/08

Spacious, comfortable, great lay-out. Location provided peaceful, relaxing "at-home" times, yet we were able to enjoy Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington with ease. Everything needed for daily living was provided, including baby supplies. Secluded, but less than 10 minutes from shops, eating establishments, etc. Multi-family celebrations (like ours) would especially fit here. Great choice.

Great vacation home for staying in Annapolis with Family

Guest: Jim (Chicago)
Date of Stay: 10/20/11 Review Submitted: 10/26/11

We have rented this house twice once for my 15 year USNA reunion and most recently my 20 year USNA reunion. The house was perfect for our needs. It was large enough to house three families, and allow us to spend a great deal of time together. My kids enjoyed the woods and frequent deer visits. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. Renting the house was very easy (In fact, I rented the house the second time only two days before arriving), and the owner was very accomodating in meeting all our requirements. The house was very convenient to everything we did - visit USNA, attend the Navy Football Game, meet friends in Crofton and Arnold, have lunch in downtown Annapolis. The owners were nice enough to mail a couple of items my family left behind. I would definitely recommend the house, and would stay here again.

Perfect location - perfect setting

Guest: A new mother-in-law! (West Hartford, CT)
Date of Stay: 08/28/11 Review Submitted: 09/07/11

In planning our daughter's wedding near Annapolis, we needed a large home to accommodate the family, who are all from out of town, including the bride & groom. This beautiful house, set back in the woods, offered complete privacy, large entertaining space for pre-wedding planning and post-wedding celebrations (e.g.brunch for out of town guests.) The house is just minutes from the Annapolis mall (and necessary shopping), ten minutes from historic Annapolis (just take 450 which becomes West St) and ten minutes from Rt 97 (main highway) which gave us necessary access to everything else. With two master bedrooms and three more bedrooms, the house gave each of us appropriate privacy when required, with plenty of room to congregate in the communal spaces. A picture-perfect setting, in every way. The owners advise that they will be remodeling bathrooms and doing some very necessary updating, and with those improvements, the house will be true perfection. Every amenity (and more) is available - including a large-screen TV, hi-efficiency washer and dryer, wi-fi, and every conceivable small kitchen appliance - often doubled. THIS is a home made for gatherings of family and friends and communicating with Carla about special arrangements was done with ease, without any fuss or effort. And with one bedroom on the main floor (even though there are TONS of steps in the house!) you could even accommodate someone who is less able to handle stairs. Being at this house made the wedding (and the week leading up to it) sheer perfection.

"Our Best Vacation Ever!"

Guest: MMHN (New Hampshire & Illinois / United States)
Date of Stay: 08/17/11 Review Submitted: 09/03/11

It is has been difficult over the years to find accomodations that please 2 families with 4 children each. It has somewhat more difficult as they have grown and now range in age from 17-32. It was well stocked, clean, and spacious. The owner was extremely helpful in communicating everythng we needed to know. The photos actually do not do justice to how attractive the property is. This was the perfect place, in the perfect setting. We loved everything about it. It made the increasingly rare times we are able to get together very special. This is our top choice for a stay if we ever return to the area.

The Nelson's

Guest: The Nelson's (FL)
Date of Stay: 04/27/11 Review Submitted: 05/11/11

Had a wonderful 5 night stay at this quiet secluded home on a cul de sac. The home was everything advertised and more! We had 6 adults and the home was very spacious and great for socializing. The first day we drove the 30 minutes to DC for a day and night of sightseeing. The next day half of us wanted to go back but no one wanted to drive so we found a park and ride bus to take that only cost $4.50. What a way to go. The next two days we stayed and toured Annapolis and the Naval Academy. Beautiful city and school. A couple favorite places to eat are the Severn Inn and Pusser's which is in the Marriott at City Harbor. This home is blocks to the Westfield Annapolis Mall which also has a wide variety of restaurants and great shops. Grocery store is close too. Owner is a gem to work with and we have already contacted her about another stay in the future. This is our 3rd home we have rented in Annapolis over the past 2 years and definiately our favorite!! Her listing and description are very accurate. The deck has 2 large gas grills that are impeccably clean. If you go to Annapolis you will fall in love with it and this home!

The Perfect Annapolis Rental!

Guest: Lee Ann (Cody, WY)
Date of Stay: 05/21/10 Review Submitted: 07/20/10

We stayed at this home for Commissioning 2010 and were thrilled with the convenience and beauty of this location. The house is located very near downtown Annapolis but more importantly, it's also located very near major grocery stores and shopping malls making our stay economically convenient. The real key that sets this house apart from others is its seclusion and privacy - located in a heavily wooded area away from the hustle and bustle. With a major roadway between this location and USNA (Bestgate Rd.) and only a few miles to drive, we had no traffic problems throughout our stay. The house is impeccably maintained with large rooms, ample baths, and an updated open and airy floorplan (vaulted ceiling and balconies). It truly is the best of all worlds, convenient to USNA, Annapolis, and other major attractions and shopping opportunities, beautiful modern open floor plan, but also very private, quiet and relaxing. We've stayed at numerous places in and around Annapolis, but this is by far our favorite. Makes for the perfect vacation! Highly recommended.

Date of Stay: 09/26/09 Review Submitted: 09/26/09

We met with 3 of my husband's cousins from Germany and their spouses and spent a wonderful week enjoying this beautiful home and the surroundings and couldn't have been more pleased. All the greenery was especially nice for us desert dwellers. Even saw 2 deer in the driveway. Sightseeing opportunities were nearby as were stores and restaurants. We can highly recommend this home for a wonderful vacation experience. The Schaefer Family
