One mile to Seal Cove and Blue hill Bay. A beautiful, and quiet, but public beach with a picnic area and ramp for boat launching. Mooring provided.
Drive five minutes and you will be in the fishing village of Bernard. Enjoy lunch or dinner at the dock restaurant and watch Fishermen come in with the day's catch. Bass Harbor is across the bay from Bernard. It is the home of the Tremont historical museum and several restaurants. Southwest Harbor is a ten minute drive. A year-round community with a walk-in clinic, drug store with pharmacy, clothing store, bank, hardware store, and many restaurants providing Family dining to fine dining. Somesville is a ten-minute drive also. A quaint village with a wonderful bookstore and live theater. Visit Bar Harbor. The bustling tourist center of the Island. A twenty-minute drive. The home of many fine restaurants, a theater, shops, live music, museums, etc.
