    I loved having my family in one roof. Unfortunately, having my bedroom on the second floor was hard for me and I could have used handicap bars in the Master Bedroom. Everything else is excellent. Owners are very hospitable (had a welcome appetizer for us) which I froze and brought home but my children advised me not to eat the salmon since it thawed out on the long flight home.

    We had a better than expected stay at Win and Audrey's lodge. My brother and his family from Salt Lake City, grandma, and our Anchorage family were appreciative. The home is spacious, clean, close to lots of recreation and KID FRIENDLY. We'd recommend this home to anyone with large families. Thanks Winn and Audrey

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

    A great place to stay for a large group event. We had a blast playing foosball and pool, and using the TV for movies and games. Its easy to find and close to Alyeska. Went skiing too a blue bird sunny day, with temps in the 40's. The kitchen was huge for a big group and very nice. The rooms/beds were great too, with comfortable and clean sheets. We would definitely stay here again.

    Our stay at the Executive Lodge was superb. The pictures online did not do the house justice--it was more beautiful and spacious in person. Its proximity to the ski resort and restaurants made everything easily within walking distance. I would quickly recommend the Executive Lodge to anyone planning a trip to the Girdwood/Alyeska area and would not hesitate to stay here again.

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    The Faulkner's house could not have been better. It was a great location to tour all the surrounding area including Steward, Whitter and Anchorage. Great places to eat in Girdwood. The first afternoon we were there, a Mother Moose and her young calf walked into the backyard. We got some great pictures without leaving our house. The Faulkner's could not have been nicer in making sure that our stay was one of the best. They were helpful with travel tips, maps and infomation on the different things to do in and around Girdwood.

    We had a wonderful time at the Faulkner home in Girdwood. It worked out wonderfully for our group (3 couples). The views of the mountain were spectacular. We were able to relax and enjoy the scenery and see the paragliders out the window. This convinced one of the couples to give it a try. The hikes in Girdwood are a must do. The hike to the hand tram was awesome - which is a must do. The restaurants in Girdwood were very good - we enjoyed the bakery every day and able to get into the Double Muskey two times. We would recommend it to anyone traveling to Alaska.

    We had a great time in a beautiful house, well equipped, near the skipiste. The weather was perfect: sunny, not to cold. We did great excursions like whale whatching, snowmobile. We tell all our dutch frineds to make a visit to Alaska, specially Girdwood , and stay in your house! Fons and Clementine, April 2009

    Cabin was spacious and well-supplied. Pool table and entertainment system kept us occupied during inclement weather. Close to lifts, though just beyond comfortable walking distance. Great place for our group. I'd definitely recommend to anyone needing a base to explore the Chugach area.

    The house was excellent, getting our four kids and 2 spouses together from across the country this was the perfect house to be able to spend time together and yet with enough room to have your own space. Even at -25 it was still comfortable. Only con-needs a larger hot tub.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

    Winn, We had a great time during our stay. The house worked out great for our group and it was helpful to have a fully stocked kitchen so we could cook our daily catch. The pool table and fireplace made the stay that more enjoyable. Thanks for all the recommendations as to places to find good food and good fun. If I ever get back up to Alaska I would stay again.     Thank you so very much for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. Girdwood is a gorgeous place and all the windows and open floor plan of your home allowed us to appreciate it that much more. The pool table was a blast and the home is so spacious we never felt like we were tripping over eachother (even with 3 kids under the age of 10). It was the perfect spot for our family of 8. We had the best location for attending my brother's wedding and reception in Girdwood. I would recommend your home to anyone traveling in the area - thank you!

    We had a wonderful time at the Faulkner home in Girdwood. It was perfect for our family group of eight. We were able to have our own separate spaces but still spend a lot of time together. The pool table was a particular draw for us. The home has a very open feel and the views of the mountains were perfect. We would recommend it to anyone traveling to Alaska. So many activities and sights were so close.

    We can't thank you enough for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. It was the perfect place to rejuvinate after long days of hiking and sightseeing. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen where all 8 of us could relax together over a good meal to discuss the days events and plan our excursion for the next day.

    Our friends and I needed a house with a lot a space, but this definitely exceeded our expectations! The kitchen was beautiful and was so delightful to cook in and created a consant hang out spot for everyone. The centered fireplace in the living room was a nice added touch. We played a bunch of games of pool and overall couldn't have asked for a better location--right in between the resort and the town, both within walking distance. I would recommend this awesome home to anyone!

    We loved our stay at Win & Audrey Faulkner's home in Girdwood. The jacuzzi tubs, pool table and fireplace were always fun to come "home" to. It's spacious, has a lot of light and a fabulous kitchen! The 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms ensure no one runs into each other. I loved the hardwood floors and the granite countertops in the kitchen! Needless to say, our stay was enjoyable and the hosts were always available to answer any questions we had. We would stay there again, if the chance arises.

    The location of this vaction home couldn't be better. We found this home a wonderful place for a family gathering. It was clean, spacious and provided for our every need. If we ever get back to Alaska we'll not look for another place to stay.
