Discover "Outta-Touch" and take home family memories forever! You have found "Your place in the Sun" for a great vacation on the shores of West Grand Traverse Bay (Lake Michigan). This vacation home is located 12 miles North of Michigan’s favorite vacation destination, Traverse City and five miles South of the quaint Village of Suttons Bay. This location is one of the few places on the Leelanau Peninsula where there is a true Southern exposure-direct sun all day and the lights of Traverse City competing with the stars for your attention during the evening hours.
This vacation home is nestled in a mature wooded setting with plenty of elbow room for the kids to roam. Cross the street (35 miles per hour) and there is one hundred feet of white, sugar sand, private beach for you to enjoy. The water is perfect for young children, shallow and a sandy bottom. Swim and sunbathe during the day and each evening you will gather around the (beach) bonfire telling stories and watching shooting stars! A boat mooring for a small boat will be available for your use.
This charming year round home/cottage was beautifully remodeled in 2006 and features an open floor plan, oak flooring, bead board paneling, a fireplace and a 36-by-10-foot outside deck offering expansive Bay views. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bath with shower. The second bedroom has three twin beds and a double bed and sleeps five. The sleeper sofa in the family room can accommodate two more if needed for a grand total of eight people. The main bathroom has a bathtub and shower unit, and dryer for your use. Cable TV, a VCR and high-speed internet connection will be available.
We do not allow smoking within the residence nor are pets allowed inside at any time.

The week was beautiful up here on the bay. It was also a week filled with swimming, shopping, eating & of course RELAXATION!!!!! Tomorrow we will say "until we meet again" to this beautiful spot on Grand Traverse Bay. Somehow everyday weas filled with memeories we will keep for a lifetime. The weather was spectacular: warm, breezy days, cool "perfect-for-sleeping" nights. Our week began with 2 evenings of Traverse City Beach Bums Ball games, our favorite dinner spot 'Boones" and/or grilling at the cottage. We enjoyed a drive-in movie at the Cherry Bowl in Honor MI. My husband and son Jake kayaked the Platte River all the way to the mouth of Lake Michigan. 3 bonfires and too many smores later...we're a happy trio! Thank you Vicky and Mike! Dear Vicky and Mike, I had a BLAST!!! I don't want to leave this place because there is so much to do and so little time! For the next guests at "heaven" - I mean "Outta Touch" there is a ton to do! My dad and I went kayaking on the Platte River and had lot of fun! As a family, we also went to the Cherry Bowl drive-in, Honor MI and saw Wall-E. It was awesome! The sky and lake were on going and changing 24/7 - the rain gentle. We had the most fun building a fire on the beach. The two weddings that Susuan came to shoot 9-8-07 & 9-15-07 were outside and the weather cooperated! One bride wore a beautiful red dress. Their dogs went (raced) down the aisle when they were called with the wedding rings! Our little house so pretty a sight when we came home each day - and so clean!
