Why the Owner Chose Alii Kai
The North Shore of Kauai, where Alii Kai 1 is located, is truly a beautiful destination. We wanted to buy property where our entire family, from grandparents to grandchildren could enjoy themselves when they came to Kauai. Our condo gives us room to be with family; we love the location , literally at the end of the cliff, with great views, trade winds, no passing traffic, just the sound of the waves, the birds, and the chickens !
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The best thing we enjoy at Alii Kai is its feeling of being far away from a busy lifestyle. We have all the amenities we need, but our nearby little town of Hanalei does not even have a traffic light. The golf courses are world known; Hideaways Beach is just 1 mile down the road, and just outside our door is the path to the famous Turtle Caves, picked as one of the 100 things you must see on Kauai. Our pool is large enough for laps; we enjoy watching the whales from the lanai in the winter months, and seeing the cruise ships pass by year round. The bbq is right out front, and for children and adults as well, there is a large grassy area out back that makes for a lovely walk , a great cliffside viewpoint, and a great spot to watch the sunset.Alii Kai is really a very unique, special spot to enjoy.

When staying at the Alii Kai you will indeed be wowed by the breathtaking mountain and ocean views. Every day the scene changes. There are birds and waterfalls for constant entertainment. This is a fantastic condo for a family vacation. Everything needed is supplied. Just bring your bags and your sunscreen! Hanalei Bay has something for everyone. Small waves for the children and big surf for the surfers too. Just choose your spot. The owners couldn't be better.

I'm adventurous and I love the sun yet it was the 15 minutes of tropical rain leading to gorgeous rainbows almost every morning that I loved most while staying at the condo. There's a reason this property is surrounded by lush landscapes on all sides! Kauai gets the perfect amount of refreshing rain followed by sunny skies. When it rained, I brewed a cup of Kauai's best coffee and watched from the huge floor to ceiling window in the living room. With a full kitchen onsite, we made muffins another morning. By the time they came out of the oven, the rain had passed and it was off to the beach! I couldn't believe how many activities were available too. While in Kauai, we ran the trail near the house almost every morning, kayaked, boogie boarded, went zip lining, hiking, had cocktails while enjoying the sunset on the terrace at the St. Regis Princeville Resort, and found time to eat at almost every restaurant in Hanalei! So many restaurants! This vacation was just what we needed for a perfect getaway. We're already planning our next trip and hope to rent the same condo!

I really enjoyed this comfortable condo! It was so nice being able to curl up on the couch in a cozy living room as we waited for rain to pass by. Being a newbie to the island, I had no idea how muddy things could get, so I was extremely thankful to have a washer and dryer at my fingertips. Comfortable, convenient, and very clean. I definitely recommend staying here!

I stayed at this condo for a week and did not want to leave. Everything about it exceeded my expectations. I loved watching the sunset from the lanai and always looked forward to returning to this comfortable, spacious home after a day at the beach. The owner was really friendly and easy to deal with. I would recommend this condo to anyone spending time on kauai and can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time with our boys – almost 3 years old and 6 months old in Kauai. We have been to this condo four times and can’t wait to come again. The owner has always been very professional and very accommodating. It is in a great location on the bluffs in Princeville. We started coming when we only had our one little guy. The condo is always so comfortable and clean with lovely views of the ocean. We had ample room with the boys and it had all the amenities of home – bathtub, full kitchen, beach toys and even a high chair. We could walk to the pool or walk around the area with the boys or just relax in the condo. Most days we made it to Hanalei beach or one of the other beaches but we loved Hanalei. The condo was not even a ten minutes drive down to Hanalei for shopping or eating or beach. Plus the grocery store, Foodland, and other food shops are right in Princeville since we were always forgetting or wanting something – coffee, milk, juice, swim diapers, etc. Love Kauai and the condo! And, my husband loves the golfing.
Owner response:So nice to see this note, as we are happy that families besides our own can enjoy our home, and let's not forget about the spectaular golf courses.

Traveling to Kauai offered countless adventures. Yet, a true highlight of our trip was having this fabulous Alii Kai condo to call home for a week! Whether we spent the day hiking to the nearby turtle cave, exploring Queen's Bath, horseback riding up the road at Princeville stables, or lounging at sparkling Tunnels beach, we were always delighted to walk in the door at the end of the day because we were welcomed by this fresh, clean oasis! A favorite winding-down activity was to delay making dinner plans by catching the sun's last warm rays of the day, at about 4:00-ish on the Lanai. We enjoyed our stay with another couple, and found this condo easily fits 4 people, with ample space to have either alone time, or fun happy hours together. I especially recommend this condo if you are a homebody and sensitive to your surroundings. Every detail in this condo from the whimsical turtles displayed on the bathroom walls to the tropical pillows on the living room couches have been carefully selected and lovingly displayed. The effect is refreshingly Hawaiian - even if you spend the entire day at the condo, you still know you are in Kauai. I was inspired to pick up a watercolor paint set at the nearby Princeville shopping center and spent many hours on the Lanai staring at the landscape, putting my best impression of this paradise on paper. You really can make the most of your stay on Kauai with this great location to call home. In conclusion, try to look out every window of the condo without seeing the ocean. I bet you will have a hard time.
Owner response:We are so happy to hear that our guests enjoy our condo. It is really our second home, and we have tried to make it as comfortable and appealing as possible. Kauai, especially its North Shore , is just so beautiful, and to be able to appreciate the surroundings at the condo, or nearby locations makes for a truly memorable vacation. We have had other artists visit also, who have been inspired by our location.

We traveled to California from England, and then to Kauai for a 10 day stay. Your condo was just the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our visit to Hawaii. We loved the tropical feel of your home, and it was absolutely spotless. We had more than enough room, and thank you for having all the beach supplies that we needed to relax at Hanalei, Tunnels and Anini--such lovely beaches. The hardest decision we had to make each day was whether or not to sit at the dinette table to look out at that beautiful blue ocean, or walk out to the lanai, to do the same. Great visit. Great place.

I loved touring all around this lovely island, but if you were to ask me what is most memorable, I have to say relaxing on the lanai at the condo. Look one way and you see the magnificent mountains and waterfalls; look to the right and you see the ocean, catching sight of the whales and passing cruise ships. In the evening, we enjoyed tropical drinks on the lanai, mezmerized by the beautiful sunset. I can't wait to return!
