The good? The twin peaks view is walking distance. Peaceful..... The bad? A non refundable deposit. You are paying basically for the laundry of sheets and towels... Sound like a bargain ? In other words if you dont use anything, and are clean, you dont get that back! But wait ...it gets better, in order to not get charged additional fees you have to wipe off all counters, remove trash, clean table, and carry your sheets and towels in pillow cases down to the laundry room! Shouldnt you be getting paid the $$$$$$$$ you left as deposit?, As another reviewer mentioned, your the one cleaning after all ! If your dirty, bring your own bars of soap, since uhmmmm there is none.( At least I searched high and low...ie entire bathrrom.. They do have a nice backyard with heat lamp. Oh, wait, out of the 7 propane tanks upstairs and in basement 7 were empty! So, we couldn't take advantage of that outdoor cooking area with prev. mentioned heat lamps. In the instructions left on table it states to call phone number if you have any issues, but its been a week and still no call back from the guy about the lack of propane even-though we left message that same hour of time frame. Nice surround sound aka stereo system.. hooked up to television, ooooops, its just for looks as it wasn't hooked up .... I would say use this place as a last resort. Definitely not for a " BLAST RESORT "Owner response: Dear Reader, while we always value feedback from our guests, this review is perplexing for several reasons. Not the least of which is the claim that there is a non-refundable deposit required. That is simply not true. What this guest seems to be referring to is the $100 cleaning fee that is charged for all rentals of this property. That is our cost for having the property cleaned by a housekeeping service for the next family's arrival. It is also expressly stated in the Rental Agreement each guest reviews and signs. Thus, it is perplexing why this particular guest appears surprised by the charge. The real issue here appears to be the fact that this guest stayed in the property for only 1 night and, therefore, was not happy having to pay the cleaning fee. Again, that is something they agreed to in advance and it should not have been a surprise. With regard to the "cleaning up" complaint, our guests are asked to leave the property in the same general condition as when they found it. Those expectations are also expressly stated in the Rental Agreement each guest signs. We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this review or any other matter. Kind regards, Red Door Properties, LLC

We stayed here for one night with some friends. It was a great little place and would have worked even if we were staying longer. My only complaint is the amount of chores that you were required to do upon check out. I'm all for not leaving the place trashed but we had to do quite a bit and at the time there was still a cleaning fee. We had to strip the beds ourselves, wipe down the bathroom and kitchen, and sweep the floor. Pretty ridiculous to have a cleaning fee (which wasn't cheap at the time we stayed) and make me do half the work.....Owner response: Dear Reader, Of the hundreds of families who have rented this property in the last few years, this is the first negative review we have received. Our guests are asked to leave the property in the same general condition as when they found it. After our guests check-out, a housekeeping service comes in to thoroughly clean and prepare the property for the next family's arrival. Perhaps the issue here was the very short period of the guests' stay (1 night). We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this review or any other matter. Kind regards, Red Door Properties, LLC

We stayed in this beautiful home on our visit to San Francisco. It was nestled in the hills of the Twin Peaks area. The bus stop was right at the end of the block and was extremely easy to access. The neighborhood is great and the location is perfect. Only 5-10 minutes away from San Fran's most popular areas (Castro, Market, Height, etc.). We had a wonderful time and recommended it to any vacationers looking for something more at home than a hotel. And the price could not be beat!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
