"CHANGES IN ATTITUDES" perfectly describes this beautiful oceanfront home. It sits on a two and one half mile private beach in a gated island community. This is our home for most of the year so you can be assured that you will not be a guest in a typical beach rental property. We want you to love it here as much as we do and feel like you are "At your beachfront home" while our guests. You'll have all the comforts of home with the Atlantic Ocean to look at out of every room in the house.
Our home features two master suites, one upstairs and one down facing the ocean where you can drift off to sleep listening to the surf. In addition to the two master suites, there is another bedroom with twin beds and a queen-size sleeper sofa. Each bedroom has its own bath to give you privacy during your stay. We have just
finished updating our great room with new sleeper sofa, love seat, and matching over stuffed chair. This highlights the pickled oak floors and white wainscoting throughout the first floor.
There are three decks and a screened porch all with unbelievable views of the Atlantic. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PRIVATE BEACH WALK OFF OF THE LOWER DECK WHICH COMES EQUIPPED WITH A GAS GRILL. You can walk right from your decks or screened porch onto this private walkway directly to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Also included are BEACH BIKES and BEACH CHAIRS so you don't have to haul these from your home to the beach.
A fully-equipped kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, jenn-air stove top and oven, blenders (you can never have too many blenders at the beach), toaster and toaster oven, hand mixer and everything you need to feel like you are in your kitchen back home. Hand-painted, one of a kind bar stools for the casual meal and the dining room adjacent to the kitchen.
"CHANGES IN ATTITUDES" is beautifully decorated in a seaside cottage-style that reminds you of Cape Cod, Nantucket, or Seaside in Florida. Sitting at the end of a quaint street in Sea Cottages, you can gaze at the Atlantic ocean from one side and look down to a protected Bird Rookery from the front of the house. Ours is the only home available for rental in Sea Cottages that provides you with both of these wonderful views. Watch the sunrise come up from your bedrooms through 10 foot patio doors and the sunset from
the front porch every evening. Oh, and the hilarious show every night of the egrets and ibis's coming home to their roost in the rookery at the end of the street. It's like "evening rush hour" for birds !
Escape to Harbor Island where you will not find any high rises or goony golf courses, but the quiet and ambiance of a seaside lifestyle found in few places on the Atlantic Ocean.
The two and one-half mile beach is perfect for children with its low tide and broad, expansive, hard-packed sand where everyone rides their bikes and watches for dolphins and shrimp boats on their way to and from their nearby harbor.
