My friends and I had a phenomenal time this past weekend. This house has everything and then some. Everyone had a comfortable area to sleep and plenty of room to become situated. We loved the fact that it was so convenient to check in and it was so secluded, a literal getaway. The lake was a little low this year because of the drought so we were not able to experience the full effect of the lake from our house, but the view combined with the natural wildlife was amazing. I am definitely going to visit again in the future and would recommend anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation to look here first.

Lovely townhome in a great location in Point Venture. The view of the lake is gorgeous. All amenities are within walking distance.

We had a great time this past weekend at the lake house! The house was perfect for our mini vacation and so close to all the amenities. Andrea was super easy to work with and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to friends.

We had a great girls' weekend at the lakehouse. Andrea was very easy to work with and the property was very clean and well-kept. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, sitting on the deck, and watching the deer. The water level of the lake is pretty low due to the drought, but luckily we were only a short walk from a nice community pool and park with lake access. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time in this property. The house is really pretty and it was fun feeding the deer in the mornings. Everything was really clean and well maintained. Andrea was really nice and helpful.

We received excellent assistance from our lakehouse owners. Loved the lakehouse, very nice, comfortable & clean. Loved the view...right on the lake. The upstairs covered balcony with a gas grill was a wonderful place to eat & observe. Loved the area & all the available facilities. Had a great time on the lake. The deer roaming around was an added plus...overall, Great vacation!! Look forward to visiting again!!

Wonderful weekend on the lake

We rented this Townhome for my wife's birthday weekend. Andrea was very easy to work with and very accomodating. The condo was very spacious. Everything was clean, and there were plenty of towels and linens for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the private dock, wonderful pool with shade, grazing deer everywhere and blooming cacti. Our 3-month old son got his first swimming lesson! Next time I'll need to make sure to bring my golf-clubs - I did not expect the green-fees to be so reasonable.

It was our second time staying at this townhouse and we enjoyed every minute of it. The weekend was very relaxing and fun for everyone, with plenty of family friendly activities to keep our 6 year-old occupied. I particularly enjoyed seating on the outside deck looking at the cove while sipping some coffee (or wine)! Very comfortable, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Wonderful escape!

We just wanted to let you know how wonderful it was to escape from the city and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lake while staying in your cozy condo. Our whole family was able to relax and spend time together. We especially enjoyed the very large balcony where we ate most of our meals and sipped on wine while watching the sunset over Lake Travis. One evening we also walked down to The Pier and had drinks and danced to a great band that was playing. We couldn't believe how many deer were roaming around. Our husbands enjoyed a round of golf at the course that is part of the community. It's a great retreat, and we have been recommending it to our friends. Can't wait to stay here again soon!

This townhome is located in a very nice community. The property was very clean. My husband, daughter, her husband and four children were comfortable staying at this property. It is a great distance to the swimming pool, which is very nice and my Grandchildren enjoyed. We like the outdoors so we enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning and a beverage in the evening. Amazing to see all the deer roaming around in the neighborhood; in the morning and in the afternoon we could watch them in the front yard. The owners are very pleasant and take pride in doing their own improvements. We would stay at this property again.

Relaxing Vacation ~ Great for family with Children

We have stayed here as a single couple...brought our boat and tied it up to the Dock (no extra fees) for a great extended weekend away from our home in Austin. We have also rented to have our family visit us but not stay in our home (due to space limitations). It was so nice to have the pool and resturant close by, the condo offered plenty of space and came equipped with a high chair and pack-n-play which made it easy for us to visit for the entire day with our 9mo old... we only needed to bring the diaper bag. I love going out here for a break from routine, great for family or couples get away.

Pleasant but disappointing

We enjoyed our stay at this town house and it was comfortable and clean. The owners were very pleasant and cooperative about letting us check in early and leave late since they had no renters before us or after us. We really appreciated that flexibility. The owners were responsive to the small problems we encountered during the stay, such as several wasp nests on the balconies and low toilet paper supply. The kitchen was small but adequate for our two day stay and the living area was very open and pleasant. We were very, very disappointed, however, that the private swim dock was dry. And the whole cove has not had water, apparently, for about 2 years. We chose this town house over several others on the basis of pictures and descriptions provided, and were really looking forward to being able to swim right off the dock. We felt like the owner would have been more honest to have told us during our several conversations that there was no water closer than the community swimming pool. And the closest lake swimming we could find was about a mile drive around the point near the park. The other drawback was the arrangement of the building itself. It was of course very hot in June. But maybe because of the time of year, all prevailing winds were blocked from the lovely balconies by the building. When you could go outside in the shade in the front of the building, there was a nice cooling breeze. But the porch was in sunshine and the front is very near the road. Anyway the balconies remained unusable during our stay. It was sad, because it was a beautiful view day and night. We also felt the cleaning fee was higher than most, and found that we were expected to do a lot of the cleaning ourselves: clean the kitchen, start dishwasher, strip beds, start laundry. With the higher cleaning fee, we felt we should just be able to walk away and let the cleaning crew do the job.

Owner response:I am so sorry for the dissapointment in the lake level. Unfortunately the lake is not a constant level lake and we are suffering from one of the worst droughts we have had in many years. I have been telling all of our guests about this and I am sorry to say that we missed telling you. You booked your reservation at a time that was unnbelievably busy for me and I apologize for the misunderstanding. We would love for you to return when the lake levels are back up to experience Lake Travis at its best. We hope you took advantage of the amazing beach that pops up when the lake is low located outside of the park. It is absolutely beautiful and feels like you are on an island without the salt! Again, my aplologies for any misunderstandings and thank you for coming to visit.

It's like a vacation home We love this townhouse and the area it's in; for us it's like having a vacation home in Texas where we can escape the hard winters of Maine a month at a time. We live on the mid-coast of Maine, where the winters can be a bit uncomfortable. When we are tired of shoveling and plowing snow, we can come down to Point Venture and Lake Travis for a nice relaxing vacation away from snow. We have family and friends in Austin which is close enough to drive in for dinner or a nice visit. Having a restaurant on site is a bonus. It is great to be able to go to "The Pier" for dinner or drinks (even in the winter months). Speaking of restaurants, "The Oasis" on the lake isn't that far away so it's easy to meet family and friends there and watch the sun go down. Shopping is easy in Lago Vista, only a couple miles away where they have food stores, gas stations, library, and other small shops. The townhouse with its' guest bedroom and full bath on another floor makes it ideal for having over night guests. The location of the townhouse is great, with the cove of the lake that comes up within feet of the house. Complete with a small floating swim dock, you can tie up your boat or just relax and enjoy the view of the cove and lake in the background. In the winter it is quiet, you can sit on one of the decks, read a book or even take a afternoon nap. The neighbors we met are friendly and helpful. Having a rental car and wanting to see parts of Texas, we took a lot of 'Day Trips'; There are many interesting places within a days drive. We spent a lot of time on the large deck relaxing, grilling, and eating meals there. We would have a fire in the fire place in the livingroom late evening which really made it feel like home. We have fallen in love with this place. The view is amazing! The patio and grill were much used by us. Patio early morning sunrise coffee and late evening dining and toddies are a must! Wonderul community. We loved the golf course, it's beautiful, plays well and it's unbelievably "cool" to golf with all the deer! Make sure to check out the driving range in early evenings. Fishing was also great. Loved this home and all the thought that has been put in to making it a home for guests. Extremely easy to make ourselves at home. We'll be back!

Property is very nice inside and out. Neighborhors are really friendly. We were next door to someone with a basketball goal who (each day) moved his vehicle to let our children enjoy the goal. Within walking distance to the outdoor pool and weight room. We enjoyed each day on a different balcony (one from living area/one at downstairs bedroom). Bedrooms are very private and separated from each other which made it very nice for each couple to enjoy...each with their own full bathroom. The kids enjoyed the loft area above the living room - they could watch television from the loft area. We will definitely be visiting this area again and staying with this renter. It is worth the money. Thanks!!!

My family of 4 stayed on Oct 5 & 6 2007. The condo was in a great location with plenty of intimate deer sightings. The amenites were great especiall the spacious park. The condo was wonderful inside and out and the water was great. The balconies were our favorite but if you have small children this may be an issue of safety. We did not have may problems as we kept an eye on them at all times. We appreciate the bottle of wine and letting us borrow your home. We will be back!
