Compass Cove Resort is a large 8 acre Oceanfront Resort on Ocean Blvd. Compass Cove boasts 22 water features, including three Lazy rivers, numerous pools, both indoor and outdoor, numerous whirlpools, two waterparks including the all new yellow submarine park for children, kiddie pools. Compass Cove has an oceanfront restaurant, an oceanfront bar and lounge (serves food), a poolside tiki bar & grill, oceanfront shuffleboard, outdoor showers, gamerooms, video arcade, pool tables, sauna, fitness center, outdoor grills which can be reserved for your use, and every other amenity you can think of.
We have TWO DIRECT OCEANFRONT, SIDE-BY-SIDE one bedroom (each) Condos. Our non-smoking Condos have all new upscale furniture, new TVs, new granite countertops, new drapes, new carpet, new tile, new mattresses, and all new bedding. There is a full kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, range, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, and toaster.

The living room has a pull-down full-size Wall Bed (Murphy bed) with full mattress, a new sleeper sofa, a new TV with cable, a new table with four chairs, and most importantly, a panaramic Direct Oceanfront View from the balcony. High Speed DSL (wireless internet) is free!

My family stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. It made for a perfect little base of operations for our visit with "grandma". The kids really enjoyed the indoor pools and lazy rivers. The only negative to the trip was that this suite is on a "dog friendly" floor, and we had a couple of constant barkers next door. Once they quieted down, everything was very nice.Recommended for: Families with young children.

The decision on whether to allow pets is determined by each individual owner, and even then, pets are allowed only during the winter months. For those owners who do allow pets, they are not allowed to bark, and a guest can contact the resort office if this happens. Thanks again for your review, and so glad that you enjoyed your stay.

The condo and the resort were wonderful! The view is perfect. It was nice to be able to see the sunrise every morning without having to leave my sleeping kids in the condo. There is SO MUCH to do for kids of all ages! The resort is far enough down so that you are not in the middle of all the nightlife, but its a very short drive there if you wish to go. The only bad thing was having to leave.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My children loved the resort. There's so much to do! The condo was great for what we need. It definitely sleeps 6-8! We loved Myrtle Beach! We visited Broadway at the Beach (a must!), the Family Kingdom water park, and several restaurants. I think my favorite restaurant was the one right in the hotel-convenient and great food! I would like to warn anyone, though. Do not go during Memorial Day weekend or the weekend before. Those are bike weeks. Traffic and people's behavior can be terrible at times. Other than that, we absolutely loved it and will be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Great stay for a week in March. Very clean, well -equipped , and fantastic view on the 14 th floor. The unit is close to the elevators so at time you can hear a bit of hallway noise. Nancy was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had and we received our security deposit back in a timely manner. Great area of MB , in the south end and not far from Myrtle Beach State Park. Very close drive to mini-golf, par 3 golf and grocery shopping. The resort complex itself has lots of pools both indoor and outdoor. Only complaint is that the elevators are very slow and parking can be tight. Overall great stay particularly for families with kids of all ages .Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Condo was just the right size & the view was great! Only problem was the swipe cards did not work. We called the alternate # Nancy left us but our call was not returned. Went to the Compass Cove main desk & they were nice to reset the cards but every day we had to go back & have them reset. The weather, beach and golfing was great!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We apologize for the inconvenience with the swipe cards. Thankfully these cards were not needed to access the condo. The condo lock system is a pushbutton code system that requires no keys or cards. The swipe cards are used for common spaces around the resort, and the problem you had has been fixed. We are really happy that you had a great week at the Compass Cove and were able to enjoy our home away from home!

We have been here twice, and both times we have been very pleased with the stay. Only problem is there was not very many cooking pans. The oven doesn't have the temp's labeled on it, so it was hard to see what the temp was. Everything else we have always been pleased with the stay. HOPE YOU HAVE FUN(:Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our condos are DIRECT OCEANFRONT (side by side) - The panaramic view of the sparkling blue Atlantic DOES NOT get any better than this. Tremendous view up and down the beach from our balcony. Lots of patio furniture and places to "be" in the common areas of Compass Cove. All the patio furniture at the resort was replaced by the HomeOwner's Association in 2008. You'll have use of all amenities at the resort. Do read the chart above for a partial list of the great features at Compass Cove. The keyless entry pad installed on the door of our condo is much appreciated by the renters. There are no keys to keep up with at the beach. Everyone in your party can just memorize the code, or program it into their cell phones.
