The owners have designed and furnished Villa Flamingo with all the amenities they would expect for their own vacation comfort as well as yours. Located just 20 minutes east of the Puerto Plata Airport, Villa Flamingo is located the beach town of Cabarete within a gated and secure (24 hour security) court of 4 luxury homes. BEACHFRONT on an expansive secluded beach, Villa Flamingo is near the downtown of Cabarete, as well as the police station, pharmacy, banks, grocery stores and restaurants.
Once you fly into the Puerto Plata airport, our villa Manager will be waiting to greet you, then he will take you on the 20 minute trip to our villa in an air conditioned van.
From the moment you step into Villa Flamingo, you will be struck by the elegant and spacious open floor plan of the entryway, dining room and kitchen area. However, you will be awestruck by the rock-wall waterfall on your right whose waters gently flow into a pool of shells and exotic fish shared with the rock-wall waterfall located in the living room. On your left, two large mahogany windows allow for a full view of beach and outside tea room. Your welcome basket filled with local fresh fruit and other treats will be straight ahead on the counter that separates the dining area with the entrance area.

I have owned Villa Leone, next door to Villa Flamingo, for the last 7 years. My neighbors, Jock and Shelley, have owned and operated Villa Rosada (now Villa Flamingo) for the last 6 years. They decided to sell Villa Flamingo and asked me if I was interested in buying. As of May 2011, I am the new owner of Villa Flamingo. Jose and Carmen, the manager and maid, who have been with Villa Flamingo for the past 6 years, are remaining and look forward to seeing you soon on the beach.
There were over 40 positive reviews on VRBO of Villa Rosada (Now Villa Flamingo) in May when I purchased the property. It is VRBO's policy to remove all reviews at the time of sale. Thus, the reason for no reviews. If you are looking for a reference as to my customer satisfaction abilities, please look for Villa Leone in Cabarete and Sint Maarten on VRBO and Homeaway. we had an absolutely amazing time at villa flamingo!! 8 of my girlfriends all met up there to celebrate my 40th birthday and it exceeded all of our expectations! the chef team, catalino and sarah, were wonderful and we used their services pretty much everyday for amazing, delicious meals. 100 bucks a day plus groceries, is a steal. the food was divine!! sarah, the cleaning lady, was so helpful and wonderful as well. the dvd player wasn't working but danny, the house manager, quickly came over and got someone in to fix it. danny, the house manager, was also very friendly and helpful at all times. all the friendly locals added to the wonderful dominican flavor and charm all around us. while we were doing yoga outside on the deck, a herd of cows walked by - truly a treat! we never felt unsafe for a moment, except that is when we stupidly forgot to be mindful while in the ocean. i had been doing laps close to shore with a friend for a while and was quite safe but then we got careless and weren't paying attention. frank, you were right to warn us and we almost got swept out to sea. luckily it all worked out okay and we are here to talk about it and plan our next trip back!

The weather is 75, sunny with a nice breeze. I am glad to hear that you recovered well from the ocean incident. That happened to me also. Now, I stick to the pool or go to Sosua, Cabarete, Playa Grande, Playa Calleton or Playa Diamonte. The water is much calmer there. I'll check on the cd player and it's condition. Did you see the iPod players? There are two of them. We did have the 2 airbeds in the laundry area ready to set up. So, let me know when you are all ready to return to Cabarete or maybe try Villa Leone in Sint Maarten. Thank you again for your business and kind words. We await your return! Ciao, Frank

Dear Frank! I´m so proud of the New Name of the Villa, sound really nice! =) It was an excellent experience for us to meet you and have the privilege of stay in your villa. The views from the pool and the rooftop are AMAZING… we had a really nice party on the beach and a lot of karaoke nights! and days also!… We had the best service of all the staff! This was our 3rd trip to the villa it has undergone many changes the Auror has been lost.
Owner response:We are sorry that you did not have a 5 star experience as we strive for with all of our guests. I did have the pleasure of meeting you personally during your stay at Villa Flamigo. Due to the extensive renovations and improvements at Villa Flamingo, the dining table was moved to a different room in Villa Flamingo. You explained to me that during your previous stays your preference with the table in the old spot next to the front window by the beach. The next day, we moved the dining table to the old location by the window to provide you with your preferred dining area. The table is not really suited to that spot any longer, but, in the interest of customer satisfaction, we moved it as we attempt to satisfy all of our guests' requests. After that, every day, I asked if there was anything that was needed or could use improvement with the villa. I know on the first day, the one shower head needed a repair and was corrected within 30 minutes of the occurence of the problem. This is due to a full time maintenance staff person that was never available during your previous stays and is now a permanent asset to insure our guests'comfort. Other than this incident, and despite my daily brief check-ins, nothing else was ever mentioned as being in need of repair or improvement. The villa is virtually the same; still pink and on the beach, but with a brand new livingroom and furniture, new flat screen tv, new 4th bedroom, super automatic espresso machine, solar landscape lights, 3 pitcher Margharitaville machine, landscape sculptures, new outdoor picnic table, new outdoor sail shade, new gas grill, karaoke system, blu ray player, multitude of new palms in every room, two additional ceiling fans in living area, new belgian waffle maker and a keyless front door access system. We have owned and manged Villa Leone next door and also listed on VRBO for the past 7 years with very good results and reviews. We are committed to operating our new sister Villa, Villa Flamingo,right next door, with the same enthusiasm and pride. We realize that we can not be everything to everyone, although we do try!
