Located on West Ruskin Street, Greenpeace is a charming, two-story beach cottage in the heart of Seaside, Florida. The cottage is in a prime location - less than a block from the white-sand beach and emerald water of the Gulf of Mexico and Seaside's town center. Greenpeace is only the second house back from Scenic Highway 30-A. (A map can be found in the cottage photo gallery.) Our cottage has been recently renovated and is ideal for families or couples.
NEW TO THE COTTAGE IN 2011- A LOWER LEVEL MASTER BEDROOM AND BATHROOM ADDITION PLUS AN ADDITIONAL FULL BATH ON THE FIRST FLOOR. ALSO, AN UPDATED KITCHEN JUST COMPLETED!
This sunny, window-filled home has two more bedrooms and RENOVATED full bath upstairs. An upstairs Bedroom has a Queen-sized bed, flat screen TV, large walk-in closet, private access to the bathroom and outdoor porch with a lovely ocean view. Also upstairs, a THIRD bedroom offers two Twin Beds and outdoor porch with the same wonderful view. The upstairs porch, with comfortable seating for a group, is a great place to relax or people watch.
The open floor plan on the first level is warm and welcoming! Furnishings were recently updated including a sleeper sofa, loveseat and comfortable chairs for plenty of seating. The dining area opens to a fully equipped kitchen and table with bench seating for up to eight. The screened-in-porch welcomes guests and is a perfect spot for family games or meals on a large picnic table.
When you're ready to explore, the town center offers something for everyone: there's a new amphitheatre, art galleries, open-air market, toy/art supply store, fabulous book/music store, restaurants, wine bar, coffee shop, and Modica Market for gourmet delights. Do not forget to spend some time at Beach Ready Spa for relaxing treatments and nail care, take a yoga class, or do absolutely nothing.

My husband and I love staying at Greenpeace. This past November was our second trip to Seaside and didn't even consider staying anywhere else. The location is perfect ... close walk to the beack and the shops and restaurants. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and charming, and the addition is absolutely awesome! We highly recommend Greenpeace. You will not be disappointed.

This was our sixth annual trip to Seaside, and we have stayed at 4 other houses over the years. This house was by far the best suited for our small children, ages 2 and 5. Many Seaside homes have creative and unique stairwells and nooks and crannies that are great for adults and teens, but dangerous for little ones. Greenpeace is more traditional and safer for small children. The Shewmaker's did a wonderful renovation of the first floor master suite that we just loved. The kitchen was small but efficiently designed for a cook...everything was within arm's reach. The additional full bath on the first floor was perfect for bathtime for the kids, however the kids preferred the outdoor shower in the sun each afternoon! The picnic table on the porch was great for meals and games. We were 50 yards from the beach and 100 yards from Bud N' Alley's in town...what could be better? Thanks to Lisa for a great stay at Greenpeace!

My husband and I stayed at this property during the labor day holiday 2010 and loved it! We had our yorkie poo with us and loved sitting in the screened porch and also loved sitting upstairs on the covered balcony. It is so close to the beach access and the town center. It is a GREAT location and decorated very nice! We will definately be back!

My family and I stayed here in Aug of '09 and had an awesome time. We LOVED the location within Seaside (just across the street from the beach pavilion and just down from the center of Seaside). We had 6 people staying, 3 couples, with one couple sleeping on the sectional downstairs and we were fine with those accomodations even staying as long as 1 week. Kitchen had everything necessary as well as a charcoal grill right outside. The house was clean when we arrived and we instantly felt right at home and we loved that we were allowed to bring our dog. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you so much.
