  We are an extended family, ranging in age from 74 to 13 (3 teenagers) who rented this apartment in July. The unit was very clean and well maintained. The location was great as we were able to walk to most of the main attractions of Athens. It was extremely hot and humid and for the most part the air-conditioning was able to contend with this weather condition. The pool was wonderful after a day of sightseeing. Sunrise and sunset on the Acopolis was an added feature. Our only complaints are minor. There was only one full shower in the unit - a second full size would have been nice. There was no coffee maker. There was virtually no information about Athens - sights, restaurants, getting around, maps, etc. Information on the city would have been very useful. There were 9 of us in the unit and it was very comfortable for a group of this size. We would highly recommend this unit for a family that is wanting to visit Athens and Greece.

  What a plesant surprise this penthouse is! We were 5 adults traveling from the United States and this was our first stop after overnight flight and 6 hour layover in Istanbul. We arrived after midnight. Stratos made the whole experience amazing as we were completely taken care of before we even arrived. There was a taxi waiting for us at the airport and took us directly to the penthouse. In the morning Mrs, Lina arrived to check us in. She could not have been nicer and so easy to work with. She made the whole experience even more enjoyable, esp. with the bottle of wine she gave us! The location is very ideal to get to any of the "spots" of interest without being directly in the congested areas. The view are undescribable and take your breath away. This was the perfect place to start our Greek adventure, I would book this accommation again in a heartbeat. Was so nice to have 3 floors of living and all the outdoor space. The five bedrooms were perfect for our needs. Overall one of the best experiences I have had on homeaway.com. If you are going to need a place to stay in Athens for a group of 5- 7 this is the place, call Stratos today!! And tell Mrs. Lina we said HI and thanks for everything!!

  We were a group of 8 adults stayed in the apartment for four nights in late October. The location of the apartment is fantastic, less than 10 minutes away from the Acropolis metro station (next to the museum) and 5 minutes from the Lewforos Vouliagmenis tram stop. All the ancient sites are within walking distance; we only used the metro once. Restaurants and cafes are close by in the Plaka area. There is a Mini market, bakery, grocery shop and pharmacy literally 2 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is well kept and clean with a large dinning and separate living area. Being a large group, two set of keys were provided which made our life a lot easier. We were very pleased with our choice of accommodation in Athens. The communication with the owner and the apartment rep while making arrangements was smooth and clear. I would definitely recommend it.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

  Owner response: We are pleased that the group had a good time in part contributed by the excellent central location of the apartment as well as the spacious accommodation for larger groups. The apartment rep assistance was key to to ensuring the group was installed to the flat and assisting with all queries and information on the nearby amenities.

  We had a week at the penthouse apartment as a party of four (two adults and two grown up children). The apartment is in great location and we were able to walk to many of the tourist attractions. The views across the City and the Acropolis are really outstanding. The apartment was really clean and well appointed and the rooftop pool was an added bonus as it was so hot it was much needed. With the central location it meant that we could sightsee during the morning and go back to the apartment at lunchtime to cool around the pool for a couple of hours before hitting the tourist spots again. Would recommend this apartment as a good base for exploring Athens. There are supermarkets and shops nearby also. Wouldn't hesitate in booking again - really enjoyable and comfortable.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

  Fantastically situated in the centre of Athens. We had a week here with 3 young children 4,6 and 8 and we were able to walk everywhere. All the tourist sites, supermarkets etc only a short distance away. The apartment was large and had stunning views of the acropolis from the upper levels and deck. The pool was heaven sent with 3 kids. All in all a great place from which to explore Athens.

  Wir haben zu dritt das wunderschöne Penthouse gemietet und dort jetzt eine Woche verbracht. Es liegt wunderbar zentral und sehr nah zur Plaka und allen Einkaufsstrassen, aber gerade außerhalb der touristischen Wege. In der Nähe gibt es alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bäcker, 24-Stunden-Supermarkt etc. sind nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Die Wohnung ist toll, gross genug dass man sich zurückziehen kann, aber auf der mittleren Etage mit schöner Küche, Wintergarten mit Esstisch und Wohnecke und als Clou natürlich der tollen Dachterrasse mit Superblick und privatem Swimmingpool. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie zu Hause und kommen sicher wieder!
