For those in the know, Lae Nani is the premier property on the coconut coast. Within Lae Nani, this unit offers the ultimate in vacation luxury. Renovated in 2006, this one bedroom, bath and one half unit, features an unparalleled ocean view and a luxurious contemporary style. From your lanai, watch the turtles swimming in Wailua Bay, whales breaching and the rare and endangered Hawaiian monk seal napping on the beach.
This newly renovated unit has travertine marble floors, granite countertops, and cherry and glass cabinets. The stainless steel appliances include a dishwasher, and full-sized refrigerator with ice and water in the door. (You do not find that in rental condominiums) We have outfitted this unit with all of the comforts of home and made an effort to provide quality and unique appliances and cookware. We even put in a cool corkscrew that is definitely a "guy thing," with levers and ratchets.
The entertainment system includes a 42 inch plasma TV, DVD, CD and stereo. For the internet junkie or those who can’t leave work behind, there is a new Dell computer and DSL internet connection.
When its time for rest, there is a king-size bed with a Swedish Tempur-Pedic mattress for the ultimate in comfort. No nasty sleeper sofas here! The second bed is a real queen-size murphy bed that tips into a cabinet when not being used.
The master bathroom features a custom made marble shower enclosure with dual shower heads This marble is called "rain forest" because of its tropical coloring and pattern. The shower floor has been done in marble pebbles with green grout to make it feel like you are standing in a stream bed. To complete the outdoor feeling, we hired a local artist to paint a Banyan tree on the wall that goes over the ceiling and the shower. Above counter green glass sinks finish the contemporary styling. The towels are not your standard rental issue but are thick and luxurious.
Shopping is a one block stroll to the Coconut Marketplace filled with small shops, galleries,restaurants, and a theater. A short drive or long walk gets you to Kapaa town, full of quaint shops and markets. Major grocery stores are located along the way. Golf is abundant on Kauai and there are several courses a short drive away. You can swim, snorkel and boogie board right in front or choose from many other beaches close by. Scuba diving is also available nearby.
There is only one major road on Kauai that makes a horseshoe along the coast, stopping at the famous Napali Cliffs. You are located right in the middle of the horseshoe so it is equal distance to both ends of the road.
On site amenities include a large heated pool, gas barbecues, lighted tennis court and coin laundry.
We have a two night minimum stay and a $125 cleaning fee plus Hawiian room tax.

Fabulous, and exactly as described

This is our second stay at Lae Nani and the property is exactly as described. It is beautifully updated and you won't find a better view in all of Kapa'a! You can sit on your lanai overlooking the ocean a mere 25 feet away. In fact, the roar of the ocean is so constant that my husband used silicon ear plugs to sleep. I find the sound washes away all my mental 'squirrels' and helps me relax. The furnishings are beautiful, modern and comfortable. We really appreciated the Dell computer, the personal touches, and were able to easily connect our iPads/phones with the wifi - an important consideration in 2012! The only thing we honestly missed, and no fault of the owners, was a jacuzzi at the pool. That said, there is an ocean "jacuzzi" right outside - an area encircled with lava boulders that you could consider your own private hot tub! We got lucky and on the second to last night, an endangered monk seal beached right outside. We spent alot of time out on the island, but also because this place is so comfortable and gracious, spent time too, just enjoying the condo. Dinner on the lanai can be the best place in town. The owners are quite considerate. We mis-placed the opening instructions and they emailed us a last minute copy. Don't hesitate on this one.... or it will be booked up! Thanks, Craig and Shari!

My fith and best trip to Kauai. It was a great trip in no small part due to our great accomodations at this condo. Clean, modern, well decorated, extensively equipped and handy to so many Kauai attractions. The grounds and pool were excellent as well. We look forward to a return stay.

We spent 12 days in the islands and your condo was absolutely the best part of it! Beautiful furnishings and the comfiest beds - loved the bathroom! Definitely a work of art. Gorgeous view of the ocean from the lanai and superbly kept grounds. And so great to have a full computer system, loaded with all the apps needed to process pictures and videos and browsers to suit every taste. We'll definitely come back to your place next time we visit Kauai!

Just a note to say THANK YOU for sharing your beautiful condo with us. The shower and bathroom was the best!! You should include pics of that in your website. Everything was wonderful and especially the excellent view. We had a fantastic vacation. Thanks also for allowing us to have a late checkout. My wife and I have used vrbo for several visits to Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Mexico. This is by far the nicest condo we have stayed in. The furnishings are top of the line and the location right on the beach gives you a million dollar view. We will definitely stay at Craig and Shari's next time we are in Kauai. Mahalo

Comment Text: The condo unit was, BY FAR, the very best part of our honeymoon in Kauai! Unbelievable furnishings, classy, elegant, open, airy, sophisticated and modern! Very romantic nights sitting on the lanai just feet from the ocean. Incredible marble master bath, wonderful and modern kitchen, fantastic furnishings and art as well as a very cozy bed! If you want THEE BEST PLACE ON THE ISLAND, this is it!
