While the pics on vrbo & owner's website are excellent, they hardly do this home justice. It's a delightful vacation home in a pleasant neighborhood just a short walk from the sweet town of Sisters. The mt views cannot be beat. I stayed here w/ my 2 young adult daughter's in June just B4 the summer crowd hit. We were on a girls getaway before the 1st of my daughter's got married. Caryn was great to work with. We rent vacation homes across the U.S. when on business, visiting friends & relatives when we desire a tad more space, & when we just need a vacation. We live on 20 rural acres in a national scenic area, so my idea of a good time (besides alpine backpacking & occasional international travel) is a home at least as comfortable as my own, a hot, clean hottub, a base camp to explore nature trails & wildness, a great place to retire to fix a gourmet meal or just grill out back, and, if I'm not in an extremely secluded area, a degree of privacy while retaining sunlight & views. This home absolutely fits the bill. I've never visited during busy season, but I'm confident that even then, it's more pleasant than any place in Bend. Additionally, I expect to work w/ an owner, or owner's agent, that: A) Respects & values the property B) Communicates clearly via email/phone/written contract. C) Is friendly w/out being fawning or wanting to hang w/ you while you're on vacation. (Not a fan of B&B's.) D) Lists rates that are appropriate for property & the area. E) Is not generally cranky or suspicious. F) Is competitive in terms of providing more than basic pots, pans, mattresses, grill. When I want to camp I choose not to pay to do so in a cabin. And G) Has some sense re, or appreciation of, tasteful art & design. I know; that's subjective. But then, so is this review! ;) While I've never docked a rental for poor taste in interior furnishings or sub-par design, as an artist, I always notice, appreciate, & feel most comfortable, when there is tasteful art & clean, often simple, design in a home. So, as you can see, I know what I like, & I ask a lot from a vacation rental! And the Sisters Oregon House & the Viteks deliver! The pricing is on target & fair, & I hope that remains. More bang-4-your-buck than places w/out hot tubs, miles from Sisters, filled to the hilt w/ blue velvet, beater furniture. In closing, having raised 4 kids, if you're real nervous about your toddlers or teens trashing the joint? For now, this is not the place for your relaxed vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Drawn by all the outdoor activities that the Cascades have to offer, we built our vacation home in Sisters, Oregon. Spring, Summer and Fall, we hike, mountain bike, and boat in nearby lakes. In the winter, we cross-country ski or go downhill at Hoodoo. We discover something new every time we go out... waterfalls, lava tubes, amazing vistas, wildlife, swimming and fishing holes, cinder cones, mountain biking trails, and serene scenery.
Why the Owner Chose Sisters:
We built this home with Bend Trend Homes and we made sure everything is comfortable and luxurious at the same time. After a day of activity, we enjoy grilling on the BBQ and relaxing in the hot tub! We hope you will too.
