We are located just 5 minutes from the Galena Territory and
10 minutes outside of the town of Galena. We are situated in the center of the valley where you could see scenic views from anywhere in the log home.
Main floor consists of wooded, stone fireplace, large flat screen TV, large rustic seating area, formal dining room, fully equipped stoned kitchen, full bath with Indian relics, and hand carved figurines and furniture. Also, a wrap around deck with gas grill and enclosed seating for all types of weather.
Lower level has a private area that accommodates 4-6 adults
comfortably.We are presently renting the lower portion of the log home, it is a working farm and owner is on premise. There is another deck with log swing, picnic table,
charcoal grill, and a scenic view of the pond. The bedroom has
queen bed, dresser, nightstand, recliner, and TV. For more
privacy, step onto your very own deck. Also, a complete full
bath with bear decor, separate laundry area with washer, dryer,
and sink. The great room consists of a gas fireplace, wet bar,
refridgerator, microwave, 2 jumbo recliners, brand new
sofa sleeper, 2 single log beds, and hand made wooden tables.
All around the property, you may find deer,
turkeys, coyotes, raccoons, cranes, hawks, eagles,
vultures, and many other animals. At Shepherd
Valley Ranch , you can have total privacy, wild nature,
go fishing, horseback riding, and camping without leaving
our home. (Ask about our primitive camping).
If you want to get out and explore, you are close to the
Mississippi River, in Dubuque, Iowa, where you can also
go for a boat ride, dinner cruise, gamble at the casino,
or stroll thru the museum.
