- Minimum stay:3-7 nights

- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This is a Listed Grade II Medieval Manor House built in the 1400s situated in the Green Conservation Hamlet of Hadzor The house holds the charm and history of 600 years with refurbished modern day amenities.
Historic records traces the Hamlet of Hadzor in the middle of the Feckenham Forest, a great hunting ground. The house along with the Hadzor Estate was given to Catherine of Aragon, Queen of England by Henry VIII in 1533. It later belonged to the Earl of Warrick.
The Old Manor has extensive one acre gardens with many features and places to sit and relax. In front the house owns 3.5 acres of fields which banks onto the Worcester Birmingham Canal which was completed in 1815. From the house and garden you can watch the decorated canal boats slowly making their way along the English countryside.
Accessible directly from the house there are several public right-of-ways and the canal path to roam. Along your walk you will encounter several pubs to drink and dine.
ADDITIONAL 4th BEDROOM IN THE ATTIC:
There is a very attractive 4th bedroom with double bed in the attic whch can be added to the contract. Please contact for extra cost of 4th Attic bedroom
BOAT:
At the end of the property is moored a small boat as shown in the pictures. This is available if the house renter takes full responsibility for any passengers. We have 4 pubs without going through a lock. British waterways and Insurance require that the caretaker operates the boat at 20 pounds per hour.
The Boat is electrically powered so is very silent, however the range is restricted to the battery capacity. In one direction is a 235 metre tunnel!

A perfect house to stay for a family holiday. All was as per the descriptions. Our 8 year daughter loved playing the piano and also sitting by the real fires. Plenty to do within walking distance along the canals,a trip to Worcester (15mins) is also a must. All in all a fab place to stay.Owner response: Many thanks for your review. It gives Glenda & I great pleasure to know that you all had a great time.

We stayed at the Old Manor in November for an "American Thanksgiving" with the English side of the family. The house is a quintessential English home from the 1700's surrounded by gardens and fields with sheep. The kitchen was well equipped to cook a complete Turkey dinner with roasted potatoes, stuffing and pumpkin pie - even dinner service for 12 and an antique serving platter and carving set! The wood burning stoves and an antique door turned into the dining table completed the effect. Our English family really enjoyed their first Thanksgiving at the Old Manor.Owner response: Many thanks for the wonderful review. If we may make a correction, the house was built in the 1400s. By the 1700s it was a very old house already! Glenda & Richard Fellows

I stayed here for a week with my daughter, husband, parents and parents in law for a week. The house is more beautiful than the pictures can ever describe ~ it is full of character and history and has such an amazing cosy and friendly feel. We had both the woodburners in the lounge and dining room burning in the evenings and both were just the spot for a glass of wine and relaxing! All the bedrooms were very comfy and roomy and everything that you could need was provided ~ towels, hairdryer, extra blankets (although we didn't need them even though the weather was cold the house was very warm). Shelves full of books and plenty of tourist information ~ even though we struggled to drag ourselves out of the house to do anything as it was so lovel to just sit and relax. We walked to the pub down the canal The Eagle and Sun for a lovely meal; shopped in Worcester(lunch in The Olde Talbot Inn - very good); visited Webbs the large garden centre;Whit Lenge gardens well worth a visit and a piece of cake! We had a daily visit from the Green woodpecker and also a Swan dropped in for breakfast. We paid in visit to the Cotswolds also - about 50 minutes to Stow on the Wold. A lovely holiday in a beautiful house ~ if you need a change from semi-detached land this is definately the house to do it in!!!Owner response: It always gives us great pleasure knowing that the house is being used and more importantly enjoyed. Everyone who have spent time at The Old Manor have given us wonderful accounts of their stay and how much they enjoyed it. We know that once back home it takes a little extra effort to send in a review so your comments are very much appreciated. Many Thanks Glenda & Richard

We spend four days over the Jubilee festivities in this wonderful Tudor property. The house is incredible comfortable, clean and very tastefully decorated - the grounds are absolutely stunning. The owners and caretakers were incredibly helpful and welcomed us very warmly. My children were absolutely delighted by the whole set-up and I would highly recommend it. There is plenty to visit in the area (Handbury Hall and Witley Court in particular) and despite the mixed weather we all had a fantastic time. We shall be back!Owner response: Many thanks for your kind words and look forward to having your family stay here again. Glenda & Richard

I can strongly recommend the Old Manor for anyone looking for a relaxing stay, beautiful location and all round enjoyable time. The house is beautiful and was exactly what we were looking for. Glenda and Richard are very nice and were great to work with in setting up the rental and have obviously planned well for people to stay in it. My young children loved the grounds, especially watching the wild and farm animals in nearby fields. Walking along the canal was a lovely experience. We had plenty of room both inside and out. My wife and I also had my parents (who) are in the early 70's stay with us and they also enjoyed the place very much. The village is quiet and peaceful and the relative closeness of Droitwich was a bonus for us because we were not too far a drive away from amenities such as grocery stores and banks. I would strongly recommend the Old Manor for anyone looking for these attributes. Thank you Richard and Glenda.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A charming old manor. The property was in great condition, well heated, very tidy and well equipped. Amazing to stay in a property many centuries old. Richard the owner was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Eight of us stayed very comfortably. Would definitely recommend the Old Manor. Perfect for a relaxing break in the countryside, and only a short drive to the amenities of Droitwich Spa.Owner response: Many thanks Stephen for your kind words. It always gives us a great deal of pleasure knowing that the house provides a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The Old Manor has had many owners over the last 600 years so we feel more like caretakers during our watch. Richard grew up in the house and it is very satisfying to hear an appreciation for the happy atmosphere that it has always had. Richard & Glenda Fellows

Our stay in this house was enchanting. The house itself has so much history. The view from upstairs is breathtaking. You can see the canal boats slip by in front of the house . You feel that you has been transported back on time. We were able to play golf in a near Golf club, walk around the hamlet that it s full of lovely houses, visit the town of Droitwich Spa that it is so old and beautiful and also the town of Worcester is close with the famous Cathedral.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
