A 15 year old, shuttered house in traditional "Bastide" style set, secluded but not isolated,on 5000 meters (two acres) of wooded and terraced hillside facing due south over the plain of Fayence - with its airfield for gliders and light aircraft
The villa is 45 minutes from Nice Airport, 30 minutes from Cannes, Grasse, Frejus/St Raphael and within an hour, more or less, of Monaco, Aix-en-Provence, Moustiers-Ste Marie, the spectacular Gorges de Verdon, and St. Tropez. The property is ideally located for visiting throughout the Var, Alps Maritine regions and a comfortable days drive into Tuscany in Italy.
There are forest walks, easily accessible tennis courts and at least six golf courses within half an hour drive - including a prestigious one in Tourrettes itself. On a more practical level, the villa is five minutes by car or 40 on foot from the attractive ancient hill villages of Tourrettes and Fayence, which have a full range of local shops, Post Office, banks, a convenience store and also five minutes by car from three Supermarkets on the plain (Intermarche/Super-U/ Leclerc). There is an excellent choice of restaurants, to suit every wallet, between Seillans and Montauroux, within 15 minute drive.
ACCOMMODATION COMPRISES:
Upstairs - three double bedrooms, two with double beds (one with en-suite shower) and one with twin beds, plus a main bathroom. All bedroom windows have mosquito screens.
Downstairs - large living/dining area and small breakfast room, both with direct access through french windows to a terrace, study (equipped for card/board games), kitchen, toilet and laundry room equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer. Further, separated from the main accommodation, is a self-contained Master suite of studio bedroom (king-size or twin beds) with en-suite dressing/bathroom and also direct access to the terrace.
Outside - Upper terrace (18 meters) the full length of the house, equipped with casual furniture, ten seat teak dining table and barbecue, with steps down to a lower terrace with pool and sun loungers. The house, fully-equipped with bed linen, towels, cutlery, china, glass, TV (including satellite), Hi-Fi/CD, and DVD players and telephone/fax with broadband access, is available (Saturday to Saturday) year round except from the beginning of May to mid June and early September to the end of October.
PLEASE NOTE: Availability for season 2008 as below, rates in Euros per week Saturday to Saturday (Payment in Sterling accepted).
