Villamare is located in the lovely Palmetto Dunes Plantation with easy access to world-class golf at Robert Trent Jones, Arthur Hills, and Fazio Golf Courses. You will be in walking distance to the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center.
There Some of our favorite restaurants are Alexanders and the Dune House...just short walks from the villa.
There is also a free shuttle service throughout the plantation as well as to Shelter Cove where there is fine dining and shopping!
When you walk into the entry foyer, one side has a fully-stocked kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, breakfast nook, dining area to seat six, living room with cable TV and VCR as well as a washer and dryer. French doors separate the living area from the master suite which has a king-size bed, TV and VCR, large soaking tub, separate shower and bath, and private balcony.
The other side of the foyer features a 'hotel' style suite with two full-size beds, dining table, coffeemaker, microwave, and refrigerator. This also has its own full bath and private balcony.
You are just steps from the heated pool, hot tub, and awesome beach! In case of a rainy or cool day, you can enjoy our indoor heated pool, sauna, hot tub, or fitness area. Bring your bikes for riding on the beach, it is a beautiful way to start your day! We stayed here in this unit of Villamare at the end of May 2010. It was the most wonderful experience. I cannot rave over the owners enough. They treated us fantastically and were a pleasure to deal with. This was our second stay in the Villamare complex. We adore the complex itself with its large pool, deck area, kid pool and hot tub, as well as adore the beach area outside Villamare itself. Just enormous amount of beach/sand before the water even begins. Huge amount of beach even at high tide. Wonderful tide pools that our kids just adored. We just love HIlton Head. This particular unit is amazing. I love the upgrades they've done to it. They made it a pleasure to stay in without going so over the top that normal working families cannot afford to stay there. But my secret favorite part of the unit was the Ekornes Stressless chair in the living room! The photo must be old because it shows an ordinary chair rather than the most comfortable chair on the planet! I literally gasped when we walked in and saw it! The upgrades were nice. The front loader/new washer dryer units were fabulous and I couldn't' believe how much I could get into each load! The furniture was super and comfortable. LOVED that they had beach chairs for us to use while there. Loved that it was a first floor unit and right off the stairs. No messing with waiting for the elevator. The kids LOVED the fountain in the area outside the entry of the unit. Loved the high counters in the bathrooms. LOVED the keyless entry -- fabulous not to have to mess with keys, especially with young children. This unit knocked the socks off the unit we stayed in at Villamare the previous year and was even less expensive. This is just a fabulous unit. the only downsides for us were that the beds in the second bedroom were double/full size instead of queen (made sharing a bed with kicking toddler lots of fun), and that the knives in the kitchen weren't the best (though to be fair, we have NEVER stayed at a rental unit of any kind that had any decent cooking knives. I am sure renters are rough on things and that may be totally out of their control. I love to cook and I'm picky). We would most certainly stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this unit and the owners to anyone.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
