Perfect spot on the Oregon coast!

We rented this lovely home the last week of August and it was absolutely perfect! The pictures do not do it justice. The house is filled with light and ocean breezes. The back deck with hot tub is the perfect star gazing set up, how relaxing after a day of exploring. The beach is right behind the house and there is plenty of sand walking available in either direction. We saw the most amazing star fish, unlike any on the east coast, that's for sure! A couple of days we did some day hiking: Cape Lookout & Neahkahnie Mountain. Table mountain and Kings mountain were 2 amazing climbs we were unable to tackle with our 3 year old, a perfect reason to go back. The house is very well stocked with all you would need. We were 3 adults and 1 child and each bedroom was very comfortable and the house was plenty big for us to not be in each other's way. The basement has more rooms and plenty of board games. The fireplace in the master bedroom, in addition to the living room, is such a bonus. There are plenty of fish markets if you desire fresh fish or seafood. The grill is plenty big to BBQ anything you desire. Our child was happy as can be. There are sand toys and an outside hose to clean your feet ... I think the owners thought of just about everything! They left us a huge gift basket with all the foods you might desire while relaxing in their home: fixings for smores, Tillamook cheese, crackers, etc. There is a small cafe in town with delicious pie and Tillamook ice cream. The best ice cream ever!!!!!!! I highly recommend this location for those wishing to relax and explore. We flew into Porland. Spent the night at the Nines hotel. Loaded the car up at Whole Foods and then drove out to the coast. On the way back to Portland we stopped at the Tillamook Forestry Center. Very cool spot for kids.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
