Nice Condo

Spent a week at this condo 07/13 thru 07/19 2011 with my wife and had a great time. Here are some things to note Pros: - The view, The view, The view - Location great (only if you do not care about staying at Waikiki), view from condo and service from owner A++++. - Rental price. I think I got a great price considering a late check out and the view. - Very well maintained and has all amenities. - Waking up to the noise of the waves, quiet nice. Cons: - Pretty far from Waikiki (30 miles one way), but this was not an issue for me as I like quiet serene places compared to the hustle and bustle of downtown - Bedroom noisy but take a pair of ear plugs, this solved the problem for me, nothing to worry about - No A/C, IMHO who needs A/C in Hawaii - Very narrow beach, this was not an issue for us as we were planning to hang out at other beaches , moreover the week we were there the weather was windy causing high surf everywhere this may have been a factor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Family of 4 Oahu Vacation

Our family stayed during the first week of June 2011. We had a wonderful time at the condo. The condo is clean and the building is very safe. There outdoor pool, while seldom used, is pristine. The condo building is literally right on the beach which is wonderful if you have children. The beach is not wide at this particular spot, so mind the waves! My husband and I stayed with our 10 year old and infant son. Betty had a pack n play ready for our son and beach toys in the closet for our family to enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances which is a nice change to what you normally see when you rent a condo. The furnishing are tasteful and comfortable. The bedroom is large with a king size bed! Our only issue was the traffic from the road. The condo is on a major highway, so you can hear the traffic which runs well into the evening. We got used to it after a couple of night, but you could not watch the tv in the bedroom without turning it way up. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Again, we got used to it, but I could see where others may have a difficult time. This area of Oahu is definately away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We loved it! Bobo's BBQ became our home away from home restaurant! If we plan to return to this area, we will rent from Betty again. It was a pleasure staying at her home. Aloha, Dawn and Rory

Canadian Couple Enjoyed it

Great location right next to the beach. Perfect for people with kids or less mobile types (my wife was pregnant at the time). Really nice the condo is well equipped with portable things like cooler, chairs, umbrella. Plus very nice kitchen (since not tons of good restaurants nearby you might end up cooking a lot - it's a very quiet side of the island). Best places to eat out mainly in nearby North Shore (Hailewa) and south in Kailua (Honolulu's a bit far to go eat every night). Super clean and well organized Neil (Vancouver, BC)

We stayed at Betty & Richard's condo from 2/25/11 - 3/4/11. We were very pleased with our choice. First I would like to say - if you are looking for a property with resort amenities this is not the place for you. The building is fairly weathered BUT their unit was lovely and VERY true to the pictures on their site. It was clean, comfortable, and the oceanfront view was just lovely. The unit was equipped with everything you would need. The VHS library was unbelievable. Although we never watched any videos there was something for everyone in the collection. There were books in the bedroom, again a selection that would please whatever your reading interest was. One thing I did not catch when we rented the unit is that there is no air conditioning but being here at the time we were, we did not really need AC. Maybe in summer you would need it. I don't know. The bedroom is located on the street side of the unit so it could get a bit noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. There is a trundle bed in the living room that did look comfortable but we chose to sleep in the bedroom since the street noise did not keep us up. It was great having a washer and dryer in the unit and she even provided detergent! This building is very secure. Your key has an FOB so once you enter the elevator you have to flash it in order for the elevator doors to close. Betty was very pleasant to deal with. She was always very quick to answer my emails with any questions that I had. My husband and I are pretty fussy about the properties where we stay. We are not the Ritz type people - more middle class. All we really ask for ( with our fussiness) is clean and comfortable accommodations. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone. If anyone were to post negative comments about this property they are probably the "Ritz" type people or just your chronic complainers. North Shore Condo rental 4/1/2011 - 4/7/2011

My Sister and I rented this beautiful condo for some rest and relaxation! What a great choice it was and we would definately stay there again. This condo is right on the ocean on the Windward side of Oahu on North Shore. The condo was very clean and comfortable and had everything you would need for your stay, including beach towels, all the toys for the beach, ie, boogie boards, chairs, snorkeling equipment, unbrellas, etc. It is very quiet with the exception of the traffic noise from the bedroom, not a problem as we always use ear plugs when we are traveling. One thing I did miss when doing my research was that this condo does not have Air Conditioning and was a little concerned when we first arrived. By the evening time, I wish I had brought a sweatshirt. When you open the windows in the bedroom and from the balcony the breeze that goes thought the condo is perfect. The location of the condo was great for exploring the entire Island as we did our best to see most of it in the time we had. I recommend the book Oahu Revealed, they don't steer you wrong and tell you how to get to some really amazing places. Peaceful Bliss

If you are looking for a scenic, quiet location away from the crowds - this is it! Just steps to the beach and wonderful ocean views from the lanai. Condo was well maintained and provided all the necessities. We had a rental car, but the bus system on the island makes travel easy. Check out the flea market at Aloha Bowl for all your souvenirs. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and hope to return soon.

Pat's at Punaluu

We stayed at Beachfront Paradise by the Sea in July. Loved the view from our lanai and a nice beach just step away. The location was convenient for exploration of the North shore, the unit was clean, and the owners were very supportive and efficient in accommodating our requests. For example, Betty allowed us to check out later, which helped us take advantage of our last day in Hawaii instead of loosing it as a traveling day (we had a late evening flight). The beach is actually very good for swimming and snorkeling, but you have to snorkel before noon because later water becomes somewhat murky (sandy bottom, right?) There were less fish per square foot in this area but many diverse corrals, and our daughter could even swim with a turtle further from the shore. The bedroom overlooked the street side and the living room was on the ocean side. We found street side being somewhat noisy at night (just wonder where all those people were driving at 2 am), but since we are accustomed to using earplugs while traveling, it was not a big issue for us. Our daughter slept in living room with sounds of the ocean. In general, we enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer.

Lovely condo with great floorplan. Tastefully decorated through out. Fantastic Kitchen with smooth top range and granite countertops. I love watching the waves as I prepared breakfast in the kitchen! Had all the amenties that we needed to enjoy our vacation on Oahu.

North Shore Experience

As this was going to be our last trip to Hawaii we decided that we wanted to experience the real Hawaii. For the past four years we stayed in Waikiki. The North Shore is the total opposite of Waikiki. The condo that we rented was beautiful. The lanai gave us a beautiful view of the beach. We spent mornings snorkeling and playing in the water. Afternoons were spent reading on the lanai. We bought shrimp fom the local stand up the road and we bought fresh seafood from a local who went out every morning. The condo was fantastic. It was very clean and totally updated. We never had to leave the area. We bought groceries when we were in Waikiki and were able to barbeque on the grounds and we had a beautiful kitchen to do the rest of the cooking. It was a very quiet and enjoyable vacation and I would recommend the North Shore to anyone who wants to experience Hawaii!

Thank you for this perfect getaway, when i first looked at your pictures, that is what made my mind up, it also helped that you had a pool and beach, i never thought that it could actually be as good as the pictures, but it was, it was a clean and beautiful condo. we loved it, all of the instructions were nice and clear, so it made our trip stress free, beach wasn't crowded with people, and was calm enough to snorkel in, pool was nice and clean. If you are looking for a beautiful sunrise you have found the place, it was perfect. thank you again
