A Very nice Lodge, 2600 square feet on a two acre estate, with 252 feet of lake frontage. The lodge is nestled on the south side of Johnson Lake, an 88 acre all recreation lake. There are no restrictions on lake use, other than the normal boating rules. The frontage has a very nice sandy bottom, where children have a great time swimming and playing. The lake is deep and clean, and a real huge plus, it has no rocky area to damage props.
The lake level is very stable, and has not dropped like other lakes in the area.
For the nature lovers, you can go on a hike, or bike with your group on one of the nature trails in the area, which includes the well known Bearskin Trail.
After the young tire out the older folks, they can bike or walk to town, to the arcade and ice cream shop, or the movie theater, while the adults relax at home. The estate is secluded, yet within easy biking distance of the famous hub of the north woods, downtown Minocqua,
You and yours can take in the Logging show, the candy store. the "Island Cafe", "Paul Bunyan's" famous breakfast, "The Thirsty Whale" night club on the water, the twice weekly ski show, go carting, horseback riding, golf, mini golf, and many, many more interesting attractions are within a three miles.
Take in one of the free ski shows put on twice a week by area skiers, who also offer free ski training! Or take in some of the hundreds of other activities and shows in the area, such as the interesting and fun lumberjack show in just East of hwy 51, right on Hwy 47, which is only a mile away.
Rest easy in one of the five main floor bedrooms which all are appointed with queen beds. The lower level as well has two queen beds, a single, and a fold away cot. The separate game room/bunk house has a bunk bed a single, and a double convertible futon.
Beds for 20.
Relax in the great room in Italian Leather couches and recliner, looking over the lake, or into the flames in the large stone fireplace. Get some board games out of the hall closet to play with the kids , or, satisfy your entertainment addiction by watching DVDs or Direct TV in the evening.
Watch off the huge deck at the umbrella table as the active among you go fishing, ride Jet-skis, ski, wake-board, Tube, canoe, kayak, float, and swim in the 88 acre all recreation lake.
Two years ago, we had a pair of eagles build a nest in one of the huge old growth White Pines by the lake, just adjacent to our property. Eagles are flying and roosting close by all the time. It is fun to watch the young eagles grow, and the huge eagle flying around close by, and catching and bringing their young, fish to eat.
Aproximately 10 Bikes, 2 kayaks, a canoe and a rowboat are yours to use free, and a ski boat is available for rent to experienced boaters.
BEWARE: The canoe is a small one, and has been known to help a adult size person find out how nice the water is - fishing gear and all. So be careful, or sit in a cushion on the bottom. Then it is quite stable. And always wear life jackets in the watercraft!

You can watch the fish swim by the dock, (sometimes a big muskie) or watch the pan-fish bite on your lure in the clear water, as you and your loved ones soak in soul food at the end of the dock. Spinner casting off the east side of the point usually results in catching some nice Bass.
You can all have fun roasting hot dogs and then, make some smores over the sunken masonry fire pit overlooking the lake.
Wake up to the distinctive calls of the Loon, and stroll down to the dock to see a sight that feeds the soul, a pristine sunrise reflected on glassy water.
Look back at the Bald Eagle's cry, as he alights on the top of one of the huge, Old Growth White Pines on the property, and then swoops down to catch a fish right in front of you.
After seeing and appreciating the incredible creation of the Almighty, learn more of Him reading in the Bibles that we try to keep in each bedroom drawer.
Gather some dry kindling out of the trees, and grill a wood cooked (the best flavor) meal on the masonry grill on the front patio, or the charcoal grill on the back deck.

Great for a family vacation. Well equipped and clean, large bedrooms with comfortable mattresses. Clear like with nice swimming area for kids. Boat, canoe, kayaks and bikes to use. Roomy so everyone is not on top of each other. Huge deck with large umbrella table where I spent many hours. Close to many other activities and restaurants. All in all well satisfied.

We had a great time at the lake. Our kids enjoyed the lake, tubing and skiing. We liked being able to ride our bikes into Minocqua to shop, etc. The set up was great for two families to share. We enjoyed the large kitchen and the family room. We also loved sitting out on the deck. The only drawback was that the basement was a little musty smelling. We had a very relaxing week.

"WOW! What a home- We stayed this past August with 16 people and had a wonderful time! The home has been nicely updated with plenty of room for our family dinners, had a HUGE deck overlooking the lake and beatifully clear water with nice sandy bottom.
