This remote Lodge is located just where you would want it, at the end of the road adjacent to our country's oldest national forest, the three and a half million acre Bridger-Teton National Forest. This is the area which was so special and spectacular that it inspired our National Forest Service Policy. You will fall in love with this cabin.
We are located in the upper Green River Valley with the Gros Ventres Wilderness in our backyard and the Bridger Wilderness Area in our front. We sit at the head of the valley which was once the most popular meeting place in all the rocky mountain country for the trappers and mountain men. More rendezvous were held here than anywhere else. Come out and see why this area is so special.
This beautiful hand-peeled log cabin, 5800 square foot, offers spectacular views across the upper Green River Valley with views of the peaks of the Wind River Range.
The Wind River Lodge is located on the eastern 40 acres of the Historic DC Bar Guest Ranch, the home of Bridger Wilderness Outfitters. You can choose to stay and be independent of the Guest Ranch, or you have the option to partake in any of the wilderness services that are offered. This is truly the best of both worlds.
Enjoy horseback riding, fishing, guided wade fishing, drift boat, canoeing, archery, cook outs, BBQ, or any personalized educational programs and instruction.
