This is a great base for a stay in London The photographs and the description are all accurate and the property was very clean and well maintained We were met by the owners who were very hospitable and Martin even introduced me to the local pub. The property is within easy walking distance of the tube although I would recommend using a cab if you have luggage. A car is not needed as all facilities and transport connections are close by I would have no hesitation in recommending the Ealing house to any of my friends or relatives.Did you find this review helpful? We spent a wonderful weekend in this lovely house. It's perfectly located between two nice pubs serving great food and beer. The convenience goods can be bought in a nice little store about 150 feet away. The walk to the underground or railway station doesn't last any longer than 15 minutes unless you decide to have a beer or two on the way :) The ride to Central London takes about 20-30 minutes, which is ok I guess. The whole property was as described, none information was made up or something like that. The communciation upfront was nice and easy. We are looking forward to come back to this place spending another great weekend in London. Our conclusion: highly recommended!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Fantastic House in a perfect location
Fantastic House in a perfect location

We had a fantastic time staying in this property on Enfield Road. The house was exactly as it was described on the internet, and was in immaculate condition upon arrival. I stayed here with my 7 month old daughter, husband and mother-in-law, and although the stairs were steep, my mother-in-law coped really well. The facilities were fantastic...right down to the tea/coffee/washing powder/dishwashing tablets etc. The layout of the house was lovely - spacious, clean and lots of natural light. I was a little worried about the cream furniture / rug in the front living room getting awfully dirty, but we did well I think! We thought the location and accessibility to public transport was great. We're not opposed to walking, so the 10 minute walk to South Ealing tube was a really pleasant trip. When we were travelling with my mother-in-law, the 3 minute walk to the bus stop was easy. Arriving at Heathrow, this location was ideal as the Piccadilly line goes straight through South Ealing. The mini-cab company at the tube entrance will then happily drive you (and all your luggage!) down to the house in a couple of minutes for 5 quid. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends / family. We believe it provided great value for money, and was exactly what we needed in terms of location, layout and presentation. Although we didn't meet Martin, his friend Colin was a lovely host and helped us settle in with a tour and suggested we could call him at any time if we had any questions. We hope to be back next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Dear Rebecca, Thank you very much for your kind comments on your two weeks spent in the house. It must be very difficult to decide on a house to rent in a foreign country and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing ours! I am extremely pleased that the house met your expectations, and look forward to welcoming you back.

Very complete house: ranging from wifi to hair dryer. Friendly and cooperative owner. Quiet area with (small) shop around the corner. Only drawback is the 30 min walk to the underground station, but there is a bus stop at 5 min.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Dear Ronald, I am pleased that you had a good time, we do aim to please. I do however feel that you may have been walking to the wrong tube station as on AA Route planner the precise distance between the house and South Ealing Tube (piccadilly line) is 0.7 of a mile which at normal walking pace should take no longer than 15 mins. I am pleased that you received the jumper that you left at the property back in the post so quickly. Kind regards, Martin

When securing a property sight unseen, one must trust the accuracy of the descriptions provided. I chose this property as a base from which four men would visit various historic sites in London, and found it to be a wonderful choice. The descriptions were accurate, photos current, and the owner (though absent himself) provided excellent customer service. Professionally cleaned between each guest rental, the property was a comfortable and accomodating base for our excursions. We utilized the tube as our primary means of transportation and chose the Northfields station (a comfortable 12-15 minute walk) as our "home station." Another option was the South Ealing Station (a similar distance away). One word of advice: when the owner provides keys to the property take time to practice locking and unlocking the rear door and the door to the "guest house" beyond the garden area. The locks operate differently from those with which we were familiar. I am looking forward to utilizing this property again in 2012!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I don't know where to start, We got to the house from Norway and didn't know what to expect, But We were greeted by Collins and he showed us around. The house is absolutely amazing. It's very new and filled with everything you need for a short holiday. We loved it so much we even managed to get the extra room avilable for a very good price. We came to UK for my wedding and some of the wedding ceremony was done in this house. Everyone who came to the house told us its amazing. We had such a plesant stay. We even managed to find parking space all the time eventhough there are no dedicated parking. Ealing Broadway is like a 10 mins walk and filled with shops. The house worth every penny. We want to Thank Martin, Dawn & Collins for giving us this amazing house for us and making our holiday/wedding a memorable one. Thank you guys. Keep it up. We will come back for sure.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
