"Les Magnanarelles" is a spacious welcoming property situated on an acre (.4 hectares) of peaceful wooded land and private inviting gardens on a residential land featuring a magnificient view of the valley, in the village of LOURMARIN, officially named as one of France most beautiful medieval villages at the foot of the natural park of the Luberon, near Avignon and Aix-en-Provence.
This large, bright and comfortable villa has curved lines and ceiling beams which recall the traditional architectural style of the region. The home is furnished with classic and modern pieces and features marble flooring throughout.
The house can take six guests in comfort: there is a double bedroom (bed size 160 X 200) with an en suite bathroom overlooking the gardens and pool, two single beds (90 X 200) on a mezzanine with en suite shower room, 1 double bedroom which opens onto a terrace and gardens, a separate bathroom and four toilets.
One more bedroom for 2 Guests will be opened on request at extra cost.
A cot and a high chair are provided.
Available to guests are three hair dryers, ceiling fans in the bedrooms and mosquito nets in the all villa.
The spacious dining room and living room include plenty of comfortable furniture, a piano, a fireplace, (wood is supplied), Satellite TV with English language channels, a VCR with English and French video tapes, a DVD/CD player, English and French DVDs, CDs library, a radio and all sorts of recreational amenities.
The kitchen is fully equipped for enthusiastic cooks, and includes a dishwasher, a micro-wave, oven, vitroceramic hob, a fridge-freezer, a coffee machine, an electric kettle, a toaster, a full range of cooking utensils.
Also available to guests are a landline phone at no extra charge for local and national, internet access, Wi-Fi,a large library with English & French books, a ping-pong table, table football, and badminton equipment.
Outside is a well-furnished shaded terrace with marble floor throughout, a Weber gas grill and a panoramic view towards the Durance hills and the village of La Roque d'Antheron (summer festival of piano).
This is an ideal place to enjoy tranquility and privacy in beautiful nature.
The 10 X 5 metre swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace with pool beds and a Weber gas barbecue.
In the basement are available a washing machine and a clothes dryer.
The house is centrally heated in shoulder & winter seasons. This home is available year round.

- Each Friday morning is the colourful provencal market in the village of Lourmarin. Nearby are Concerts, markets, Wineries'visit. Lourmarin is within easy reach of every sites of interest: Les Baux de Provence is a beautiful village built on a large rocky outcrop offering a stupendous view over a large plain and the Alpilles mountain range. Also worth visiting are St-Rémy-de-Provence, a painters'village renowned for its antique stores, and the old quarter of Aix-en-Provence, where one can visit the studio of the painter Paul Cézanne. Nîmes is nearby, with its Roman arena and many ancient ruins. To the north is L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and its antiques, the city of Avignon, once home to the medieval papacy, which still has the spectacular Papal Palace and the famous bridge of St-Bénézet immortalized in the song sur le pont d'Avignon. We chose Lourmarin because it is a very special place, for its varied and exquisite landscapes, for the easy and fast access from anywhere thanks to the TGV at Avignon and Aix-en-Provence or from the international Marseille Airport “Marignane” or Nice international Airport. The property is on the edge of Lourmarin and offers magnificient landscapes onto the valley and the village of La Roque d’Anthéron (festival of piano in summer time), onto the Alpilles or towards the village of Lourmarin. It is wooded with pins, olive trees, cypress, oaks… and has the scent of thym and rosemary. The village offers a lively life and marvelous food and wine in more than fifteen gastronomic restaurants.

It is the perfect place for unwind and relax and feel completely at peace in this property, a haven of tranquility and privacy. The pool makes easy to spend a lot of time on the property surrounded by a typical provencal garden with lavenders and aromatic plants but the area offers a huge range of activities and attractions.

Noël (ingenieur of Air, in thermodynamic) and Jacqueline built this house in 1990 for our family needs, when our two boys were little. We had always been in love with this area of peace, light and beauty where the weather is ideal at almost all times of the year.

"We have left the Luberon, Lourmarin, and this beautiful villa with a certain sadness about the end of our wonderful time there. We enjoyed an outstanding vacation experience during our two-week stay there. Lourmarin is certainly the most beautiful and enjoyable of the hill towns in the Luberon, and the Friday market is outstanding. This villa is conveniently located for spending part of the day in town -- or for touring throughout Provence, east of the Rhone. We quickly became attached to this lovely home and we consider it to be a very special place. We particularly enjoyed the landscaping, the pool and being able to spend many hours outdoors. The house inside is decorated in a very pleasant style. The art, the furnishings and the arrangement of the rooms suited us very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we intend to return. It is now "our place" in Provence. "

There are few places I would rather be in late Spring than in Provence, and Les Magnanarelles is the perfect rental for a group of 6-8 to call home for a week and base their adventures in this beautiful part of the world. The villa is modern, spacious, welcoming and well maintained. Everything that one needs to live comfortably had been considered by the very agreeable and helpful owners, including an excellent kitchen, library and all sorts of recreational amenities. There is even a piano! This property is exactly as advertised. You will be greeted by the owners' agent (brush up on your French) and given a tour of the house as well as final instructions on the operation of those perplexing french appliances! After settling in, you will have a chance to take in the magnificent view of the valley and the Luberon mountain, all framed in the property's extensive landscaping. The villa is located on a hill and is peaceful and inviting. Our group always looked forward to "coming home" in the afternoon from an excursion and relaxing around the pool. Dinners on the patio were a highlight of the day. The lovely village of Lourmarin is only about 1 km away, and an easy walk if you don't mind the hill on the way back! Lourmarin has plenty to offer including a number of good restaurants and the best market we experienced while in Provence. It would have been easy to spend the entire week just enjoying the villa, Lourmarin and the nearby countryside

What a wonderful way to spend our vacation. Les Magnanarelles is a beautiful, quiet villa with excellent facilities, all within walking distance of the village in the foothills of the Luberon Mountains. After our many interesting and fun filled day trips, the villa, the pool, the location, and the ambiance proved to be everything we had hoped for in our stay in Provence.
