Welcome to our beautiful, spacious 3,860 square-foot home which is located in the much sought-after, gated community of Grand Reserve. This small development of 110 Executive homes is built around Lake Thomas, the surrounding wetland, and conservation areas. It offers peace and tranquillity: the perfect place to relax and unwind after an exciting day at Disney or an enjoyable game of golf at one of the many championship courses conveniently located nearby.
Our luxurious villa offers spacious, flexible accommodation with maximum comfort over two levels for ten people and is ideal for one or two families, plus grandparents. Complete privacy is ensured as our home is set on a large corner plot with conservation land to three sides of the property so you have fabulous views and are not at all overlooked.
On the ground floor the main Master Bedroom has a king-sized bed, spacious ensuite bathroom, private access to the pool and lanai and views overlooking the conservation area. The second Master Suite is separated from the main living area by a door and corridor to give additional privacy and has exclusive use of the pool bathroom and views over the wetland area. The pool bathroom is complete with walk-in shower and also has private access to the lanai and pool area. The other two bedrooms are twin rooms that have use of a shared bathroom conveniently located between them. The Den, which we use as a separate television room, gives additional flexibility for adult guests as it has a full ensuite bathroom and a full-sized sofa bed for occasional use, if required. The massive third Master Suite, (28-by-20 feet) is located on the first floor. It has a full ensuite bathroom, king-sized bed and sitting area, own air conditioning unit, and fabulous views over the natural lake and wetland conservation area.
The large, Kitchen is well equipped with plenty of work space, a central island and breakfast bar. A separate full-sized Laundry Room is also very useful. The Breakfast Nook overlooks the pool and lanai, and there is also a desk with telephone and internet connection as well as a selection of novels, DVDs and videos for your entertainment. Beyond this is the comfortable, bright and airy Family Room which is fully-equipped with 50-channel cable TV and Sony 5.1 Dolby Home Entertainment system. The patio doors give direct access to the pool area and lanai from this room.
Also accessible from the kitchen is the games room (formely the garage) which is fully kitted out to enable you to practice your best shot. There are 2 sofas to chill out on if you prefer to spectate or to take a quick breather from the action. Try "501" or "Round the Clock" on the dartsboard. You'll need to have quick reactions to win on our 7ft Air Hockey table, or maybe you prefer a little hustle on our 8ft Minisota Fats Pool table. Whatever your preference you can easily while away a few "spare" minutes here.
The Formal Living Room enjoys views across the pool to the lake beyond and also has patio doors allowing direct access to the dining area on the lanai. This room, and the Dining Room, which overlooks the conservation land to the front of our home, are both exquisitely and elegantly furnished. As the conservation area borders our property, our Lanai and South-facing Oversized Pool are afforded complete privacy. You can enjoy the far reaching spectacular views over the nature preserve whilst relaxing on one of the luxury cushioned poolside loungers in the fabulous Floridian sunshine.
The lake and wetland area are home to a wide variety of birds and mammals. Sand Cranes and Egrets, enjoy the habitat, bright red Cardinals are frequent visitors to our bird feeder and red headed woodpeckers can be seen on The Live Oak draped with Spanish moss on the edge of the property, from which our villa takes its name. It is a bird watcher's paradise and a favourite for painters and writers who enjoy the tranquillity but also want the convenience of nearby amenities.
The garden, pool and lanai lighting allow you to enjoy evening meals alfresco, where you will also experience spectacular sunsets across the lake. At dusk the conservation area comes alive with a cacophony of sound from the creatures of the night, but within the screened area you will be bug-free. The hypnotic sound of the cicadas and the throaty melody of the bullfrogs fills the redolent evening air whilst you relax and enjoy the unique Floridian ambiance with a glass of wine or cold beer and contemplate nothing more taxing than tomorrow’s adventures.
For the comfort of all our guests this is a non-smoking home and regrettably pets are also not permitted.
