We have stayed at a number of different units from Kapalua to Makena on the west side of Maui, this unit is the best! The location is great, north end of Kaanapali beach so you can walk the beach for miles, shops are nearby and parking is easy. The unit itself is amazing, totally remodelled, fully furnished and supplied with anything you could need, including boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs and more. The view is absolutely the best, 25' off the ocean, we saw whales every day it is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The entire complex is well maintained and super clean. We would highly recomment this unit to anyone (we definately plan on being back!)

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We wanted oceanfront, and that's exactly what we got in this condo! It was beautifully updated and stocked with everything we could need during a beach vacation including beach chairs, boogie boards, a small cooler and a pineapple corer. The pictures are completely accurate as to the type of view you get on the balcony, and it was the perfect view for whale watching while eating breakfast and lunch. Bonnie could not have been better to work with, and she went above and beyond while we were there, bringing over a new DVD player on a Saturday, even though she was sick. I wouldn't hesitate to rent a property through her again, particularly this one! Maui Kai is a great location, and this condo was a dream!

My wife and I have been missing not only Maui but we've been this condo since we left. By the 3rd day we were already referencing the condo as "home". It really does feel that way. The condo has everything you may need and is extremely comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning and most every sunset with a drink. It truly is the PERFECT setting. Waking up every morning and being able to hear the waves crashing, even with the doors closed, was great. I would bet there is not another condo on Maui that is closer to the water! Bonnie, thank you for such a wonderful condo! Also, I want to thank you for making the whole rental process pain free. I have always booked a resort/hotel on vacations and had my concerns about renting a condo but this was actually more pain free than a big resort. We cannot wait to come back!!

We stayed on three islands during this trip, and in two places in Maui. This was by far our favourite. The sounds of the waves lulled us to sleep, seeing whales every single day was a bonus, and feeling the sand in my toes did my heart good. The condo itself is perfect for two, and has every single feature needed. It is clean, comfortable and convenient, and decorated beautifully. We found excellent shopping for food nearby, and Lahaina and even the road to Hana are not far. We will be back! Thank you so much.

What an amazing time we had at your condo on our first trip to Maui! We had an excellent time on the island but some of our favorite memories were at Maui Kai. Your unit is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed the small complex as we made several friends down at the pool area and saved money by grilling out. WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR WONDERFUL VACATION AT THE MAUI KAI #202. WHAT A FANTASTIC VIEW, EACH AND EVERY MORNING WE WOULD AWAKE TO WHALES AND THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW. WE CANNOT SAY ENOUGH. IT WAS SIMPLY WONDERFUL. HOPE TO STAY AGAIN. IT IS A VERY NICE PLACE TO STAY. WE LOVED THE SMALL SIZE OF THE COMPLEX AND IT WAS SO EASY TO GET AROUND. WE WERE ABLE TO WALK TO THE OUTDOOR MARKET AND THE GROCERY. IT WAS ALWAYS EASY TO FIND PARKING FOR THE CAR. LOVED OUR STAY AND WILL BE RETURNING.

Bonnie, Wow - we had an amazing week. We are on our honeymoom and the views are magnificent. The rainbow every morning over the water was amazing. Some of the best snorkeling is hight here on this beach. we saw an octopuss, eels, tons of fish and even saw a monk seal! oh and we snokeled with the turtles too. We had an amazing time, we will defintley be back It rained a little,still able to do tons. Go to "Soup Nuts" great for good and people. The Trilogy is the best, skip the sub, you see soooo much more right here in the water on the beach out front. We will be back. . . and don't forget too look out the window for the rainbows at approx 8 am.... Amazing!! xoxoxox

Our first trip to Maui was in 1989. We accidentally found the Maui Kai. We have been back a few times, but it have been 9 years. This was a family trip with 3 grown children, their spouses and 5 grandkids. The oldest graduated from H.S. this year and the youngest was 20 months! We had a great time, but sorry to see so much "growth" in the area. The cranes were everywhere. Hope the Maui Kai can maintain her integrity and still be here when we come back. We all had a great time!

Just three more days on this beautiful island, Maui. Your condo exceeded all our expectations; the decor tastefully done, a great comfortable bed and all the amenities needed. You thought of everything. The welcome basket was very much appreciated, the lotions, chocolate and the great tasting coffee. Thank you so much for making our first visit to Maui so enjoyable. This is the best medicine for my husbands recovery from his recent surgery. We snorkeld, saw Warren & Annabelle in Lahaina and enjoyed everything on this beautiful island. Sitting and eating on the lanai was a special treat with the most fantastic view, we could go on an on.... We definitely want to come back and rent Maui Kai #202 again. Mahalo.

Aloha, Lora and I were here on our Honeymoon and we couldn't have had a more perfect place. Dinners on the Lanai were wonderful, but the blender seemed to be even better. It sure does make some good bannana/strawberry daquiri's! Please be careful when whale watching because there are so many of them we were an hour late for every excursion! We loved the decour and the style because it made us feel right at home. However, we are dreading packing and leaving today. One last thing...the fish tacos at Maui Tacos in Kihei are Da' Bomb. Aloha! What an amazing and beautiful place! We've had such a perfect vacation and it all began after we arrived at this great little condo! For the first time in a very long time we didn't have to battle with the front desk about why our "oceanfront view" was really of the parking lot! The personal touches and little creatures comforts (gift basket & soft sheets/towels, nicely stocked kitchen) are much appreciated! You can't beat the views - ocean lapping right outside, whales - all from the lanai! For future visitors - we loved MALA restaurant in Lahaina. We also discovered incredible snorkeling all around the island - explore on your own - don't waste the $$ or any time on the expensive trips! Enjoy Maui! We'll be back! Mahalo Bonnie for everything! Where to start? With the great view, the breaching whales right off your lanai, the incredible sleeping with the waves pounding away outside! We had such a wonderful trip here...my first time in Maui and a second trip 30 years later for Ken. The condo and the goodie basket...so well equipped...you think of everything one would need. We had many great adventures while we were here...big swell on the North Shore, the snorkeling, whale watching and helicopter ride...one of the biggest on Valentine's when Ken proposed to me at Pacific'O. As our vacation to Paradise comes to an end, I just wanted to let you know how much we loved Maui and the condo! We were here after a week on the Big Island and Maui is hands down far better! You gracious accommodations and all of the extras you supplied were amazing. Everything was supplied, right down to the beach chairs, towels and a beach umbrella! Our favorite restaurants were David Paul’s Lahaina Grill – Superb! Roy’s Kahana Bar and Grill and we had a great lunch at Cilantro (Mexican Fresh!) Gerard’s was Okay, but not superb and Pizza Paradiso was not as great as all of the revues (but then again we’re from the Northeast with Pizza from NYC). Happy New Year, Mahalo!

I loved the room especially the balcony where we could watch the ocean. I didn't expect cups and dishes included. It was very nice! The kitchen is so beautiful. I loved the basket you gave. The condo was absolutely perfect for us to share on out “Honeymoon”. We enjoyed the view, sunsets & listening to the ocean waves as night. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We enjoyed the snorkeling, dinners and relaxing on the beach. The most exciting thing we experiences was seeing a 7ft shark swim alongside us in 3ft water along shore side of Ka’anapali Beach. Once in a lifetime thing to see! We have to leave but here is so much we still want to do & see, so we will definitely be back! This was the first trip to Hawaii for my wife and I. We went to the Big Island first. We wish we could have spent more time here. It’s so beautiful and this condo is great. The drive to Hana was excellent! (I wasn’t doing the driving.) So many waterfalls! We both snorkeled for the first time here in Hawaii. Molokini snorkeling was fantastic. We also walked a short distance down to the beach to Kahekili beach park area, where we saw more fish that I had ever expected plus a sea turtle! We love this condo unit. The gift basket was so sweet. We will have to come back here next time and sooner than expected!

We arrived in Maui on 8/6/06 after a week on the Big Island. It’s quite a change, but has lots of charm too! We absolutely love the condo and greatly appreciate all the little treats – the coffee, chocolates, lotions! We did lots of amazing snorkeling on out own at Black Rock, Honolua Bay, etc. It’s amazing how much great sea life there is so close to shore. We had some amazing meals – Lahiana store grill and Oyster Bar on Front Street; Capische at the Diamond Resort in Wailea. We highly recommend both for the food and the views. We has a blast doing the Aloha Bike tour down Haleakala & over to the vineyard – and also really enjoyed the Old Lahaina Lu’au. There is so much to see and do that even a week is not enough. We look forward to our next trip here!

We started out honeymoon here, a great place to relax & recover from our wedding & traveling! Thank you so much for stocking the kitchen with all necessary ingredients for a romantic & relaxing stay including a blender for crushed ice for our mai tai’s! The lanai is beautiful, any closer to the ocean and you would be on a cruise. I can’t believe I’m saying this but there was almost too much ocean noise at night! Bonnie, What a wonderful vacation on Maui in your studio. This is our first visit and we hope to come back, We would highly recommend the America II - 2hr sailboat ride in Lahaina. you will get totally soaked so wear your suits,, very fun and a great value! Aloha Bonnie, This condo was perfect size and location for the two of us. The view was spectacular, especiall at sunset. The gift basket was very much appreciated and was put to good use. HI, Wonderful stay at Maui kai - snorkeled, road to Hana, West Maui Cycles had a great bike to rent - had a flat tire lots of thorns. Trip North to MP39 will give you all the work you need. the wall at MP36 is as steep as any pavement you will find. We really enjoyed this unit as it is very well equipped and convenient - sunsets are spectacular. The beach chairs, mats and umbrella were very much appreciated. Found sun will burn you here, just like anywhere else - thanks for the basket of sunscreen, burn remedies, and block. but too little to late for us, we will be the envy of the neighbourhood on our return home Thanks again for everything!

It is our last day in this beautiful condo and I luxuriate in the softness of the sheets as I drink in the vastness of the ocean and sky. Alternating between the blue of the water, memsmerizing, and the green of my handsome husband's gaze, hypnotizing... it is hard to look way. Fifteen years ago we arrived on Maui, just married, so young and naive and overflowing with dreams. Returning now to recapture this simplicity. three children, a nice home, hobs committments, schedules- these are so far away. here time slows..It is so simple. Just lay on the white sheets, comtemplate the beauty surrounding you and slide into the moment. This condo feels like a ship at sea, taking all who stay here on a journey of dicovery. Aloha! On her first trip, Angie stayed with her family in Unit #201. She has found the condo #202 equally elegant and welcoming. The condo worked out perfectly for us. We found it to be pretty centrally located. The whales were very active and special to see. We were not aware that Maui had a monsson season!! Just Kidding, even with all the clouds, we did find the sun. For all future guest we'd recommend: Johnny's Burgers - hole in the wall the best burgers! Drive the road to Hana, nothing like it. All the beaches were great and the surfers at Hookipa were real neat to see. We will see you again!

Mahalo! this is much better tha we expected. This studio is Hot! and being brand new, is even better. Lots to do - even business. The whales were fun to watch off the lanai, and Bonnie our wireless worked in the condo. We will return very very soon!
