My husband and I spent our first wedding anniversary at this wonderful cabin. It was extremely clean and exceeded all our expectations. The first night a deer actually joined us in the back yard. The fire pit was wonderful. One of my favorite times was sitting on the back porch on Sunday morning enjoying the sunshine and nice cup of tea. We had such a good time and will definitely return!

This cabin was perfect for a quick get away to McCall and would even be great for an extended stay. Very clean, private, comfortable and relaxing. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

This wonderful home is accuratly discribed, and a good value! It's tucked in location gives it a very private feel, yet it's close to town and local eateries. Bedrooms located upstairs give the home good separation of space, with very comfortable beds! Decks front and back add sunny or shady outdoor space, Front deck with umberella table great for dinning oudoors. Kitchen well stocked with all utencils and appliances neccessary. Home was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Owner and property manager were helpful and responsive. I would highly reccommend this home for a relaxing vacation to McCall.

This cabin was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable! A great location too, only a few minutes from downtown McCall, the lake, etc. Very little traffic too as it's off the main road. Beautiful deck on the front of the house and one in the back as well!. I can't wait to go back.

Gladys House

We had a wonderful experience staying in the Gladys house and renting from the owners. They were extremely responsive with requests and questions, and they treated us like friends rather than clients. If I were to return to McCall for work or vacation, I would rent with the owners again in a heartbeat. The house was in great condition, the furniture was clean and comfortable, and the beds were extremely cozy.

Convenient and Cozy

We rented this cabin in August 2010 for a group of friends looking to spend some time in the mountains after a Boise wedding. We loved the Gladys house. It was clean, well maintained, and had spacious bedrooms. It's in a perfect location - close to the lake, close to lots of bike and hiking trails, and a short ride from town. We'd definitely rent this cabin again.

Cozy Cabin

We loved Gladys cabin. The decor is tasteful and cozy with a beautiful deck on the front. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was very clean. It is very close to the lake but did not have direct access. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating was because there was no seating for the fire pit or the back deck and the only TV is upstairs in a bedroom and there is only one bathroom. Still, the owner was great to work with and we absolutely loved this little bit of heaven. I would happily recommend this cabin, especially for small groups who don't mind sharing a bathroom. Favorite activities include: renting a boat, eating downtown, shopping, Legacy Park, hiking, sitting on the deck!

Recommended for:Families with young children, romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed here on our 25th anniversary. We were very happy we chose this destination. The cabin was very comfortable and had all the little things you need to make the stay enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics and even more! The furniture was comfy, loved the fireplace at night and most of all we enjoyed the privacy and location! If you are looking for a really really decent place to stay and relax you have found it! We highly recommend this place and look forward to being able to return. Also the owner is very easy to talk with and very helpfull with great sightseeing/activity ideas and recommendations. His staff is also wonderful and eager to help in any way. Thank you Robert for all you offer and do for vacationers like us!

The house was great, the kitchen has very nice dishes, pots, pans, etc. The furnishings are great & the bed I slept in was heavenly. It was the perfect peaceful setting for us to relax & escape for awhile. We would love to return in the summer time in order to enjoy the outside more. Vicki & Lori were both so nice to work with as well.

We stayed at the Gladys House in February and there was lots of snow. The house was perfect for us and our kids. We were the only house on the long driveway and the way the snow had been plowed, our kids had 10-12 foot sledding hills. There was no need to find other sledding in town because we didn't want to leave our own private sledding hill! We loved the comfort and warmth of the house. We worked around the one bathroom and 1 TV. The snow and snow banks made it seem like there were no other neighbors. We found alittle bakery in Donnelly called Sourdough, it's on the Tamarak turn-off, and it was sooooo good. We also really enjoyed the Hap & Florence Memorial Elk Ride, out at milepost 129 past Donneely. It's by reservation only but the elk were eating the hay right out from under us! We stayed in the Gladys house from 2/8-2/10, and it was AMAZING!!! The house is beautiful, very well decorated with VERY comfortable furniture!!! This house is in a great location for sledding with the kids, no need to leave for that!!! I would highly recommend this location for rest and relaxation! In addition, the owner and landlord were wonderful, and extremely easy to work with!

We stayed at the Gladys house for 3 days Jan 17 thru Jan 20. We brought 4 kids with us (3 teenagers)and all of us had a blast. Our accomadations were great and we loved the location of the cabin, very private. We had at least 6 ft of snow and the boys made a huge ice-cave (they really wanted to sleep in it!) The cabin very clean and decorated very nice. We only had a couple of things we had to adjust to. One, there is only one bathroom and it was downstairs, and two, the only TV was in the master bedroom. Fortunately we didn't really have time for the TV. Lori was helpful and went the extra mile to let us in and check on us even though was was under the weather. Vicki Lambert was extremely helpful in getting me all the neccessary information. The Gladys house is a definate repeat for us!

The Gladys House was great, just nice and quiet with all the snow around. Pulled my daughter all over the lake roads with the sled, it was so tranquil. We would love to come up and stay for a summer weekend so near the lake! Lori was great by the way, very helpful. Our four year old girl is smitten with horses, and even Roy Rogers and Trigger at the moment, so the horse room (and saddle) was a big hit!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gladys House and we would love to stay again. We actually had a lot of rain while we were there, but that didn't matter. This was just the type of getaway we needed, and the place was wonderful. It was welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen was great, the fireplace was warm, and oh boy - the beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept in while traveling!! Thanks so much to Vicki and Lori for providing such a place to share great family memories.

We travelled from Australia to fulfill my childhood dream of a summer in McCall. Gladys was perfect; set in a mountain meadow surrounded by tall spruce trees; a beautiful loop walk around the area right at the front door; with two huge decks and lots of stars and sometimes we saw deer. The cabin and its furnishings are picturebook - and the beds were brilliant. The stay at Gladys was one of the happiest times of my life. The owners are lovely and welcoming and hospitable and keen to share their love of McCall for which many thanks. Joan and Tom

Okay, this is the most adorable cabin ever! We loved the decor. (The kids argued over who got to have the "horse" room!) We spent all our time hanging out on the front deck. So comfortable and peaceful. If you want to stay in a very comfy cabin, then this is the place. Plus, Lori, the property manager is the best! Thanks Lambert family for a great experience in McCall.

This is a great little cabin. It's very tastefully decorated and very very clean. The beds are very confortable and I loved the setting it was like camping, but with a nice cabin and a great bed to sleep in. I loved it!!! I recommend it highly!!
