The Fairways at Mauna Lani is a new privately-gated development located in the prestigious Mauna Lani Resort located on the sunny Kohala Coast of the Big Island. Enjoy golf at a 30% discount on the world-renowned championship Frances H. I'i Brown North and South Golf Courses. The Mauna Lani Racquet Club charges $15/day which has three of the six courts lighted for cooler evening play. Work out at the Spa and Sports Fitness Club or take many of the classes they offer. The pool has lanes for swimming laps. The pool and fitness club can be used for a $30 daily fee per person. Mauna Lani also has a private gated Beach Club at no extra charge with a restaurant. You can also relax at the free-form pool with baby area, waterfall and Jacuzzi right at the Fairways Townhome at no charge. There is a full workout facility on property at no charge for your convenience.
The town home is located on the Fourth Fairway of the North Course and has been beautifully decorated by an interior designer. Enjoy the sunsets from the two covered lanais. The living and dining room areas are spacious and there is seating for eight at the dining room table with three additional bar stools. In addition to the King bed in the Master Suite and the Queen bed in the guest bedroom we have also supplied you with two twin airbeds, 19 inches in height (linens and pillows included) to accommodate extra guests. There is room in both the master bedroom and the guest bedroom for their use. The gas barbecue and wet bar is on the lanai.
It is 700 yards to the beautiful Fairmont Orchid Hotel which has public beach access to a beautiful white sand beach, water sports, and exquisite dining. The Mauna Lani Resort has eight restaurants and five lounges with live Hawaiian music almost nightly. The shopping center includes Tommy Bahama's Restaurant, Ruth Chris's Steak House, Sushi Restaurant, and a Coffee and Juice Bar. Recently opened is a Snorkel Bob's where you can rent equipment for the week for $9 - $35 /week. Enjoy the self-guided walking tour, featuring archaeological sites with petroglyphs, historic park land, and the Kalahuipuaa Fishponds. Other nearby resort hotels include Mauna Lani Resort and Bungalows, Hapuna Prince Hotel, Mauna Kea Resort, and the Hilton Waikoloa where you can swim with the dolphins. It is a eight minute drive to Hapuna Beach which has the best bodysurfing and boogie-boarding on the island.

We enjoy the discounted golf, kayaking in the beautiful blue waters, swimming laps in our pool, and using the great gym on our property. This is our second home so we have furnished it beautifully and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need.

I have had a love of the Hawaiian Islands since the 1970's when I moved to Lahaina, Maui for a 9 month stay. Dave and I chose the Big Island because it is more low key and less crowded than Maui. We chose Mauna Lani because of the incredible amenities available to us and our guests. We love the two spectacular golf courses, the tennis center, homeowners beach with fabulous snorkeling, and the beautiful walks. We also found so many white sand beaches to choose from in close proximity to our townhome. We have found our Heaven!!

This was the best experience we have ever had with renting vacation homes! We loved the place, it was FANTASTIC - it had everything we could ever wish for, and was awesome for the children too....very child friendly, with hi chair and crib. We used the pool and facilities a little, particularly enjoyed the private beach nearby...can't write highly enough about this place. Thank you so much for equipping this place so thoughtfully and well, and for letting us stay here.

Condo was fantastic. Our family of four (2 teenage girls) fit in a week just before Christmas 2011. Started with easy set up with owner. First time using VRBO – Gail set a high standard for our next VRBO booking. Spacious, beautifully decorated, very well appointed condo. Superb kitchen and barbeque set up. Very quiet complex – biggest concern was the rustling palm trees off the 2nd floor master bedroom Lani – the lounge chairs were great!! Beautiful pool short walk from front door. Grocery store close by – walk or drive. Beach club very enjoyable – good snorkeling – however if you like beaches you must go just north to Hapuna Beach. Don’t overlook the Beach Club restaurant on a Sunday night – live music and great food. Take advantage of the resort golf discount at Mauna Lani – make sure you have your camera ready if playing the south course. We will be back for sure to experience more of Hawaii and book with Gail again – with or without our kids. Mahalo Gail!

We stayed at Gail's condo in July and it was fantastic, especially if you have a child. It was very well equipped with everything we could need including beach towels, umbrella, chairs, snorkel equipment and beach toys. It also had a crib and high chair for our baby as well as a fax machine and scanner which was wonderful as we had to do some business while there. The condo itself was beautiful and well-finished and the kitchen had a lot of essential pantry items and was very nicely equipped for cooking. The condo beach (it is a short drive) was lovely and was never crowded and perfect for snorkeling and swimming with a baby. Having the condo was wonderful because we could sip drinks on the lanai while our baby was nappy, still keeping his schedule while enjoying our vacation. We hated to leave and would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to the big island.

We have stayed in the condo twice now and find it impressive for our vacations! The owner is easy to work with and very responsive when setting up the rental agreement. The townhome is beautiful and felt like a second home immediately. The descriptions on the website are accurate and the townhome exceeded our expectations. We have recommended the townhome to other friends who have found it equally as great as we did. The home is stocked with everything you could need for fun from dinners to beach time. We loved the amenities available to us such as the pool and the private beach access. The location is perfect for biking, running, and walking. This home is beautiful and will add to anyone's vacation on the Big Island!

This was one of the best condos we have ever stayed in. It was superbly equipped and we enjoyed every minute of our 10 day stay. The private beach was great. We even saw whales breeching from the beach! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for privacy, cleanliness, that homey feeling. The landlord sure covered all the bases as far as information too. Thanks for sharing this lovely home with us.

There will be no bad surprises...only good. Owner has thought of everything, and is a breeze to deal with. If you're not familiar with the Big Island, rest assured - this location is the best if you are juggling golf addicts and beach lovers; or if you need a "base camp" for exploring the island. We happen to prefer Mauna Lani over Waikoloa, which has more of a Disney-like atmosphere. It's a quick drive over if you feel the need to partake in all they offer over there; but it's nice to come "home" to the serenity of Mauna Lani. This condo was very clean, and roomier than we expected -- beyond the generous square footage, the ceiling height and hallway width lend a feeling of "elbow room" that can only help make family vacations more pleasant! The location within the complex is extremely private and quiet. Take advantage of the 30% golf discount at Mauna Lani. (It even applies to twilight and Junior rates!) Mahalo Gail!

This condo is very spacious with everything one needs for a beach vacation - coolers/towels/beach mats/chairs/umbrella. The owner was very prompt in responding to questions. The condo location is great and the complex well managed and quiet. The view from the lanai is lovely and private.

As advertised. Very comfortable, our 9-month-old had a great time (loved climbing the stairs). Centrally located with lots of nearby options for beaches, dining. The biggest surprise of the trip was Foodland Farms -- walking distance. There's a discount card attached to one of the key rings. A great little close-in grocery store in comparison to our past experiences driving to Waimea or Waikoloa Village and being somewhat underwhelmed. We would definitely stay here again.

This townhome is perfect for families, our 18-month-old had everything he needed from a high-chair to crib to play toys at the beach (even a stroller). What a beautiful home, the kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. The private beach is gorgeous, the swimming pool/jacuzzi/workout room is immaculate. We wish we could have stayed an extra week.
