This condo is wonderful and was perfect for my family. The pool and Mauna Lani beach club were so great and perfect for my 2 year old. We loved the location too - so close to Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches and within walking distance to the Fairmont. The place is fully equipped with great beach gear too. The chaise lounge chairs on the upstairs lanai were perfect for relaxing while our toddler took a nap and the kitchen was fully equipped which was so much appreciated. All of the furnishings are wonderful and we loved our privacy with our view of the golf course. The Mauni Lani area was fantastic! We can't wait to come back!

We stayed at the condo with another couple. Plenty of room, private and very comfortable. The location is primo. We love to do the beach walk in front of the resorts so beautiful and accessable from the fairways. We would like to rent this unit again when visiting the Big Island in the future!!!!!

Condo was fantastic. Our family of four (2 teenage girls) fit in a week just before Christmas 2011. Started with easy set up with owner. First time using VRBO – Gail set a high standard for our next VRBO booking. Spacious, beautifully decorated, very well appointed condo. Superb kitchen and barbeque set up. Very quiet complex – biggest concern was the rustling palm trees off the 2nd floor master bedroom Lani – the lounge chairs were great!! Beautiful pool short walk from front door. Grocery store close by – walk or drive. Beach club very enjoyable – good snorkeling – however if you like beaches you must go just north to Hapuna Beach. Don’t overlook the Beach Club restaurant on a Sunday night – live music and great food. Take advantage of the resort golf discount at Mauna Lani – make sure you have your camera ready if playing the south course. We will be back for sure to experience more of Hawaii and book with Gail again – with or without our kids. Mahalo Gail!

We stayed at Gail's condo in July and it was fantastic, especially if you have a child. It was very well equipped with everything we could need including beach towels, umbrella, chairs, snorkel equipment and beach toys. It also had a crib and high chair for our baby as well as a fax machine and scanner which was wonderful as we had to do some business while there. The condo itself was beautiful and well-finished and the kitchen had a lot of essential pantry items and was very nicely equipped for cooking. The condo beach (it is a short drive) was lovely and was never crowded and perfect for snorkeling and swimming with a baby. Having the condo was wonderful because we could sip drinks on the lanai while our baby was nappy, still keeping his schedule while enjoying our vacation. We hated to leave and would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to the big island.

This was one of the best condos we have ever stayed in. It was superbly equipped and we enjoyed every minute of our 10 day stay. The private beach was great. We even saw whales breeching from the beach! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for privacy, cleanliness, that homey feeling. The landlord sure covered all the bases as far as information too. Thanks for sharing this lovely home with us.

There will be no bad surprises...only good. Owner has thought of everything, and is a breeze to deal with. If you're not familiar with the Big Island, rest assured - this location is the best if you are juggling golf addicts and beach lovers; or if you need a "base camp" for exploring the island. We happen to prefer Mauna Lani over Waikoloa, which has more of a Disney-like atmosphere. It's a quick drive over if you feel the need to partake in all they offer over there; but it's nice to come "home" to the serenity of Mauna Lani. This condo was very clean, and roomier than we expected -- beyond the generous square footage, the ceiling height and hallway width lend a feeling of "elbow room" that can only help make family vacations more pleasant! The location within the complex is extremely private and quiet. Take advantage of the 30% golf discount at Mauna Lani. (It even applies to twilight and Junior rates!) Mahalo Gail!

This condo is very spacious with everything one needs for a beach vacation - coolers/towels/beach mats/chairs/umbrella. The owner was very prompt in responding to questions. The condo location is great and the complex well managed and quiet. The view from the lanai is lovely and private.

As advertised. Very comfortable, our 9-month-old had a great time (loved climbing the stairs). Centrally located with lots of nearby options for beaches, dining. The biggest surprise of the trip was Foodland Farms -- walking distance. There's a discount card attached to one of the key rings. A great little close-in grocery store in comparison to our past experiences driving to Waimea or Waikoloa Village and being somewhat underwhelmed. We would definitely stay here again.

This townhome is perfect for families, our 18-month-old had everything he needed from a high-chair to crib to play toys at the beach (even a stroller). What a beautiful home, the kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. The private beach is gorgeous, the swimming pool/jacuzzi/workout room is immaculate. We wish we could have stayed an extra week.

The condo is beautiful. We felt at ease the minute we stepped through the door. The description is 100% accurate and the townhome exceeded our expectations. This place is great for families because it is totally "hooked up" with everything you could need for fun in the sun-boogy boards, beach towels, umbrellas and coolers. I appreciated the wifi hookup because I had to check in at work while we were there. We loved packing up the car and heading out to Hapuna Beach-voted one of the best in the country and just a 10 minute drive away. My girls were also able to take both tennis and surfing lessons while we were there. The beach at the resort is great for snorkling too. I would definitely recommend this condo to friends and we are already planning a return visit!

I had a wonderful time. Loved the unit. Unfortunately, the master bed sans boxspring was just too soft for my aching back. A new firmer bed and I would be booking for this time next year.

Owner response:We purchased the bunky board which is the equivalent to a box spring for a platform bed and a new pillow top Simmons Dianna Plush Firm mattress December 2010.

The perfect place to stay, close to everything whether it be the golf course, beach, hiking, we even drove to the volcano and back the same day. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, lots of extras to make eating at home easy and enjoyable. We used the small market close to the home. Prices were not bad for the convience. We had fresh fish and Lamb chops that were amazing. Pool, hottub and exercise room are amazing and close to home. Owners are effiecent and informative. Thanks so much for everything.

This was the best experience we have ever had with renting vacation homes! We loved the place, it was FANTASTIC - it had everything we could ever wish for, and was awesome for the children too....very child friendly, with hi chair and crib. We used the pool and facilities a little, particularly enjoyed the private beach nearby...can't write highly enough about this place. Amazing vacation destination! The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful home and location. So many things to do. July is very warm... we spent a lot of time at the beaches snorkeling, bodysurfing, kayaking and swimming. Sunsets were beautiful. Mahalo for sharing your home.

Lovely Hawaiian home- couldn't and wouldn't do it any better in furnishings & extras. Homeowners beach is awesome & the snorkeling was fantastic. Drove to Captain Cook's Bay, dolphins swam with us in the kayak (rent them right there)& tons of fish! Great walking out the door to beach path either direction. Want to come back ASAP.

We have stayed in the condo twice now and find it impressive for our vacations! The owner is easy to work with and very responsive when setting up the rental agreement. The townhome is beautiful and felt like a second home immediately. The descriptions on the website are accurate and the townhome exceeded our expectations. We have recommended the townhome to other friends who have found it equally as great as we did. The home is stocked with everything you could need for fun from dinners to beach time. We loved the amenities available to us such as the pool and the private beach access. The location is perfect for biking, running, and walking. This property is situated in a well-maintained gated community, with close access to golf, private and public beach, and shopping. The near-by pool and jacuzzi is quiet, seldom overly occupied, and very clean. The condo is well equipped with all of your needs, well decorated, and very spacious. Close-in parking, as well as a garage is a plus. Great restaurants and ample shopping are very close and the patio is very private with a great view. Just a short walk for whale-watching. If you like a private peaceful setting in a great location you will enjoy this rental.

Your Mauna Lani home was welcoming & full of aloha. Just perfect for our first trip to the Big Island! Fairly windy, cooler than we hoped, rough seas. Although that didn't stop my husband from catching a 550# Blue Marlin! "Playtime" was the boat. What a thrill! Spent too much time shopping but it was too rough to snorkel. We really enjoyed our stay in this exceptionally well furnished and beautifully decorated townhouse. The gourmet kitchen, outdoor BBQ and extra amenities are wonderful. There are several outstanding bodysurfing and snorkeling beaches a short drive away, as well as shopping, great restaurants and golf courses. Would highly recommend this property for a fabulous stay.

This town home is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. We stayed here for 5 nights with our son, his wife, and their 1 yr old son. We were able to spend quality time together at the town home, trek 5 minutes to some of the best beaches on the island (Hapuna, Mauna Kea, 69 Beach in addition to those at Mauna Lani), and enjoy the many fabulous restaurants and shops nearby. The pool and fitness room were also excellent and we enjoyed them both. The kitchen is FULLY equipped as are the bedrooms, baths and beach equipment. We typically are people who like to "Travel" (see the sights) rather than "vacation." This unit is perfect for both and 5 nights was not enough time to enjoy it all. We look forward to returning here on a regular basis over the coming years. Here's hoping the owner continues to rent it out; that means take care of the place when you go so the owners don't get discouraged! Enjoy!

We loved this townhome! We were in Hawaii for the Ironman and found that the home was a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Kona, although Kona is an easy 20 minute drive away. We golfed twice--the two courses are absolutely stunning! The home has everything you would need--gourmet kitchen, great BBQ on the porch, washer/dryer. In short, we felt like we were in our own home! Loved it! Thanks so much.

This is a beautiful unit in a great location. Located right up the street from the Fairmont Orchid. Enjoyed the pool on the grounds often. A mere 15 minute drive to Hapuna Beach (the most stunning beach on Hawaii). Loved the gourmet kitchen and amenities.

We had the pleasure of spending 10 days in this town house 2/28/06-3/09/06. It is very comfortable and well furnished.The location is good for golfers which we are not. We chose to leave the complex for beaching and found several beauties about 10 minutes away. Restaurants off the property are about 15-20 minutes away and easy to get to. We thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of the area and our stay at the town house.
