Located in the heart of the DuPont State Forest, The Bluebird Creek Cabin offers an exclusive mountain experience near three of the most spectacular waterfalls in western North Carolina.
With over 10,000 acres of forest land in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Dupont State Forest offers adventures for the whole family or a memorable romantic get away for honeymoons, anniversaries, or special occasions.
The Bluebird Creek Cabin is a custom built, dovetail, white pine log cabin, furnished with hand-crafted furniture. A perfect place to relax and experience a quiet mountain getaway or adventure. The Bluebird Creek Cabin comfortably accommodates four people.
Within a short walk are over 80 miles of designated trails ranging from easy to strenuous-- you choose your comfort level. Walk to Hooker Falls in the DuPont State Forest and enjoy a cool swim on a warm summer afternoon or take your fishing pole to Lake Julia and spend a peaceful morning fishing for trout, catfish or bass or try fly-fishing on the Little River.
Bring your bike and enjoy the mountain biking trails or bring your kayak and enjoy kayaking the rapids on Little River. Bring your horses for an adventurous ride; accommodations for horses at the Ultimate Ride Campground is only a few hundred yards from the cabin. Or simply take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the foliage and wild life in the forest; don’t forget your camera!

At the end of the day, the Bluebird Creek Cabin offers a comfortable 'home base' for relaxing and reflecting on the day’s activities. The cabin features oak hardwood floors and spruce ceilings with custom window treatments. The cabin offers two bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds, a living room with a native stone fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy dining area. There is also a spacious covered wrap around porch/deck for relaxing and viewing the bluebirds and other wildlife!
We have reduced our price due to skyrocketing gas prices. Now $675 per week plus taxes

I just wanted to let you know that it was a pleasure doing business with you. The cabin was clean and perfect in every way. I have always visited the northern part of our mountains and rarely the area around Brevard. The cool temps. and beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails have convinced me that I must consider this area if I ever make it to retirement or win the lottery! The fact that you returned our security deposit so promptly and you were so friendly and willing to help means I will be coming to you for future rentals in your area and will deal with you if the lottery comes through or, until then, when and if I make it to retirement. Thanks again,Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
