A fun time was had by all. The professional booking agents were very helpful and the condo was professionally cleaned. It had everything you need, and then some. Much nicer than a hotel room. We walked to the beach each day and enjoyed the views. There are canoe races in the evenings that we enjoyed watching. You could watch the college baseball games in the evening under the lights of the ball park a few blocks away; it is very charming and scenic, you can also see lots of trees, so it looks very green which we liked as many Waikiki hotel rooms can just look at concrete; so this one is nicer and with little traffic noise. We saw a rainbow about every 4th day. This is our third time we have stayed in this condo. We plan to come each year. It is really fun and the people are real nice too. You can see the Friday night fierworks from the balcony.

The listing was accurate; the hotel is amazing, and the photos were accurate, the bed is really nice and everything is professionally cleaned and maintained. The booking agents were professional and have an on-line booking system that gives a 30% discount and lets you book immediately, everyone at the hotel was very friendly and we felt very safe, the neighborhood is very safe and somewhat away from the mobs of crowds which was nice for us because the walk through the park to the beach is peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend it - why pay twice the price to stay somewhere else? There are stores nearby to buy food etc. and the number 2 bus goes right to the Ala Moana shopping center for $2 and if you get a transfer, you may return for free within a few hours. The condo had some beach chairs we used at the beach. This was a very special trip for us and we had a great time.

Excellent location right near beach was very convenient because we could walk through the park which was lovely and it was not too far to walk, there are also stores along the way for food, refreshments and things like that, there is also a cafe on the beach that has outside tables and serves Mai Tai's, we were also able to rent surfboards, lounge chairs and other beach equipment, although the hotel room had some beach chairs, etc. for free.

Me and my girlfriend stayed there for two weeks and we felt very safe. The hotel staff were always on site 24 hours a day and they took the time to get to know our names and help us with our luggage. The hotel is on a quiet street with no bums, and there are no bums in the park as it is controlled by the Army. We will come back.

This hotel is near the shopping district with the fancy stores just a block away on Kalakaua and a few more blocks to the Beachwalk shopping area. Very safe, we saw no homeless people. The hotel is high security with video cameras, guards, etc. Excellent and we never worried. Nice views too.

We stay a month each year and like to have more accomodations than what you might get in a typical hotel room. The pool area is green and lovely, the lobby is spectaclar and recently refurbished, there is a nice breakfast room and a full buffet breakfast costs only $10, there is free parking on the street around the corner, and a block away, the bus goes everywhere and is very inexpensive, and we only rent a car on days when we want to drive around the island, otherwise everything is within walking distance. It is a lovely walk through the park to the beach, the US Army maintains the park and there are no homeless in De Russy Park, which we liked a lot. Overall we had a lovely time and enjoyed every minute, also the expensive Trump hotel is very close and we would go there for dinner and look out over the water at sunset; the Beachwalk area is also very close and has good shops and restaurants, and stores like Gucci and Prada are very nearby.

Regarding guest comments, and questions, kindly note the following. Extra kitchen towels are kept in the bathroom cupboard. There are 3 types of WI-FI, in the room for free (does not always work), free in the lobby (always works), pay-as-you-go WIFI in the room (always works). The kitchen has; electric frying pan, electric wok, large electric pot, electric rice cooker, oven, microwave, plates, etc. A photo of the kitchen is shown above. We provide you with a vacuum cleaner, extra cleaning is available upon request. This room is substantially quieter than most Waikiki rooms because there is no roadway directly beneath the windows. The lanai runs the entire lenght of the unit, about 30 feet long, and has 2 chairs for outside seating. We prvide serrated knives for safety.

We were able to connect to free WIFI in the room by searching for a free connection (which may not always be there), and, we got free WIFI in the lobby which requires getting the password from the front desk. There is also WIFI for a price, in the room. We discovered that this room is much less noisy than other rooms in Waikiki because there is no busy street below the windows (as is often the case in Waikiki). The room is also far away from the noisy delivery trucks that beep when they back up, and the room is far away from the places where the tourist buses park with their motors running; so, we really enjoyed the extra quiet and the ability to keep the lanai doors open and still be able to sleep at night, we like the fresh air. The quiet central air conditioner was a big plus, as many rooms in Waikiki have noisy window air conditioners. We would like to book a month for next year; I will use the on-line booking system for that. Mahalo

The kitchen is a large kitchenette, not a full sized kitchen, there is a photo shown above of the kitchen. There are no super sharp knives, for safety reasons, but you may buy your own at the grocery store around the corner on Kuhhio Street. Paper towels for the kitchen are not provided for free, unless some are left over from the previous tenant, so you may have to buy your own paper towels at the ABC store one block away. There is a powerful vacuum cleaner in the closet, and usually there are extra cleaning supplies, Lysol for example, and, theses items may be purchased at the store a block away.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Garden very much. The boutique apartment is situated very close to the wonderful beaches and the luxurious shops in the fancy sections of Waikiki. The two double beds, and the double couch sofa bed were excellent for our family. The outside facilities were pleasant, and provided excellent opportunity for poolside relaxing in the afternoons. Shops are at a very convenient distance. The quiet, central air conditioning provided us with cool air, when the weather was hot. Families who would wish to stay in Waikiki are certain to find an appropriate accommodation here.
Owner response:Owners Response; if you do not need two double beds, plus a sleeper sofa, we have other rooms in the same building that have fewer beds. The room with the two double beds and the sleeper sofa, is the same price as the rooms with fewer beds.

A wonderful setting for a family holiday, and an excellent base for Oahu. The condo was immaculate with every amenity. We spent many afternoons on the comfortable couch taking in the spectacular views. This was not our first trip to Waikiki and before we stayed in rooms that were dark and noisy, so this condo was a welcome change and much quieter than being near a busy street. We also like the De Russy Park beach area where this condo is located. It is nice to be mid point between the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and the Pink Palace.
Owner response:Hi Joan, it is always a pleasure dealing with you. Yes, we are working to keep our prices low !! Thank you for your kind suggestions; we are putting in better vacuum cleaners (industrial strength and easier to use), and we are improving the kitchen sink areas with commercial grade kitchen faucets (the kind with the spring that unhook and spray) these improvements should be ready in about 3 months. Also, in 1911 we will be re-painting the gold table coffee near the lanai, and, the hotel is fixing things up as well, ever since Wyndham got involed (they have a lot of money to spend for improvements). Everyone is looking forward to the upgrades. We will enjoy seeing you next year. Warmest regards, the team at ParadiseWithAView

Owner response:Hi; thank you for the information; we try our best, and keep prices very low. After you left we put in a new electric skillet, and new electic cooking pot, and a new electric wok. We no longer use hot plates, and, think the electric skillets, pots and woks, are easier to use. We also put in extra extension cords, and, electrical plugs, as, people seem to have a lot of computers and iPhones, etc. that need plugs. We also put in new DuxBed memory foam matress pads, and changed all the rugs. And, we bought all new towels and linens, so it looks very nice. Some of the floors are being renovated, and the elevators are scraped up a bit, the remodel should be over in early spring of 2011; we lowered prices, at lot, during the remodel period only. Thank you, ParadiseWithAView

A beautiful boutique condo hotel with stunning views. The location is terific. Everything we needed was right at our disposal. The friendly staff was a big hit. We were delighed with the elegant bar, and reception areas that were a lot of fun for us. The pool area was very quiet and relaxing, much nicer than some of the hotels with 1,000 screaming kids running all around. This was the first time I rented a condo, and was a little aprehensive, but once I saw the room we were convinced we did the right thing. We looked at the hotel rooms, and they were not as nice as this condo. I love the large sliding glass doors with the pleasurable views. My dream is to be able to buy a condo here, it is very peaceful and quiet tranquil retreat, where we can enjoy the beauty of nature, the views are gorgeous. Perfect for a family vacation. We will definately return. Everything was very well organized, tastefully decorated. Actually, it was nicer than our house at home.
Owner response:Thank you Ryan, yes the staff is amazingly friendly, and there is a 24 hour security guard. Everyone admires the views. thank you for your comments.
