The description doesn't do it justice. We spent every evening on the porch looking out over the mountains. The kids had the entire 2nd floor (out of 4) to themselves. There were 13 of us in all, and next time we're bringing another family...and will have room to spare! I would recommend this chalet to ANYONE!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

What a great time...my brother and his wife, their daughter and her husband and their 2 children (from Maryland) met myself, my wife and two sons, and daughter and her husband and two children (from Missouri). Having grown up in nearby Morristown, I was keenly aware of the awesome beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains and this was such an ideal home to house us all!! 16 people in one house...and was there ever room!!!!! The game room with its pool table, wet bar and hot tub on the deck was enjoyed by all. The deck upstairs off the main family room sure saw its share of happy people as well, as we talked and enjoyed the breathtaking view every evening. What was especially awesome was the first evening there, a black bear wandered nearby to greet us and welcome us to the mountains! I will certainly keep "Marilyns Manor" in mind the next time I decide to rent a vacation home in Gatlinburg again. We were located half way between Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg and access to either destination was so easy!!! The memories we've taken away will last forever! The pictures listed and description provided were exactly what we got....the owner was very friendly and cooperative during the initial "renting/question phase". The home was well cared for and I was told if anything wasn't up to "snuff" to let her know. This was indeed an enjoyable renting experience for me......there is no doubt in my mind that I would whole-heartedly recommend this home to anyone seeking this size of home. For the record...I am 62 and my brother is 72...not "spring chickens" but still at an age where we enjoy having fun with our families.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
