A charming contemporary townhouse a 5-minute walk to the harbor but located on a peaceful fresh water lake; it is sheltered on a hill with a sweeping tree-lined lawn down to the waters edge.
The Retreat is equipped with every comfort and amenity needed to make your stay on the Maine Coast enjoyable and relaxing.
You will find the Retreat the ideal place to enjoy the quiet beauty of the surroundings. Explore the shops and activities in Boothbay Harbor. Wander through the notable attractions of the surrounding area. Use the Retreat as a home-base to begin day-trips in the Coastal region.
There is something extraordinary to experience for everyone, sail the harbor, sale the shops, tour the nooks and crannies of the Seacoast, explore the galleries and artisan shops, enjoy the excellent variety of restaurants and eateries.
When you enter the Retreat the hallway opens to a sunken Master Suite with cathedral ceilings. The well appointed kitchen is in the other direction. The kitchen is light, bright and roomy with its own breakfast table. The dining area overlooks the sunken, fully furnished living room with a welcoming fireplace, cathedral ceilings and expansive windows with wonderful water views.
The Master Suite is appointed with a Queen-size bed, spacious walk-in closet, full bath and a wall of widows with views to the water.
There is a service area in the hall with a stairway to the upper sleeping level rooms, an enclosed laundry area (washer/dryer) and a roomy half bath.
The upper level sleeping area has two bedrooms; the King Room features a King-sized bed, while the Twin Room has 2 Twin-sized beds. Attached to the King-Room is an alcove with a twin sized bed suitable for younger guests. The upper level is served by a full bath.
Outside enjoy the open-air deck on two sides of the house with seating that overlooks the lawn and lake.
At the downward edge of the lawn relax on the wooden picnic deck with a glider for quiet, relaxing views of the water. Take a walk on the path to the waters edge and dock. (The picnic area and dock are shared with a second townhouse.)
