This two-bedroom private vacation cottage is part of a beach association. With only a short stroll to the water's edge, guests can enjoy the neighborhood beach or the sandbar beach of Rocky Neck State Park where the water is relatively calm and shallow.

The house and its large deck off the rear is nestled in a leafy setting and is a short drive from Connecticut I-95 (exit 72). Within a few blocks there is a playground for children that includes a tennis court and a basketball court. A boat launch is located nearby at the marsh's edge for the launching of small craft.

Anyone familiar with the southeast shore of Connecticut knows there is no lack of amusements and activities. Besides the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos, there are boat cruises and fishing parties, pastoral freshwater fishing, a popular children's museum, art museums, and lots of fine dining. Just send us any requests for details concerning the above and we'll offer some suggestions!

  • Staying on the Conn. shore is always pleasureable and Greg and Hita's home in Niantic was very comfortable. It was close to a lovely private beach which you have unlimited access and close to nearly all of the vacation activities in this area of Conn. We are strongly considering a return to this region to vacation next year this time (July 4th week)

  • We had such a pleasant stay at Mr. Gardeners house. The accomodations were excellent and the surrounding area was the perfect place to enjoy our vacation. After coming all the way from Germany to take a vacation in New England we can only say "thank you for a wonderful stay" and we hope to be back again next year !!

  • We had relatives from Illinois stay here over Thanksgiving break. I'm told that the accommodations were quite comfortable, and there was plenty of heat during those chilly November days. They loved being able to walk to the beach and visit the nearby sites.

  • I just spent a week in this house with my family of five. The house is very comfortable, with plenty of room for sleeping and lounging. The deck is fantastic, we ate every meal on it, enjoying the ocean breeze. The beach was especially kid-friendly, and the children also enjoyed the nearby Niantic Children's Museum, as well as the Niantic bay boardwalk. All in all it was as pleasant and relaxing a vacation as one could hope for.

  • We just returned from a 1 week stay at Greg and Hita's lovely beach home. My family of 5 found it very comfortable. There is a good size living room where we were able to relax, play games and watch TV. A large deck off the kitchen was very convenient to eat meals or just hang out. The beach is a short distance away, as well as the town, to buy groceries, go out to dinner or catch a movie. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

  • Just returned from a lovely 4 day stay at this beach house. Everything was wonderful. The house is a nice size, plenty of room for a small family to spread out and relax. The brand new deck off the back of the house is great, we really enjoyed eating outside or simply relaxing. If you are a beach fan, the beach is within walking distance from the house. The house is also convenient to all of the Mystic area tourist attractions as well as many other Connecticut gems. Greg and Hita are great, they are full of suggestions for things to do while in the area. All in all we had a great time on our trip. This cottage is perfect for relaxing and taking in some of the beautiful sights this area of Connecticut has to offer.
