"Mt LeConte Vista" is ideally suited for up to 4 couples. However, the cabin is often booked by families and groups of 8 or less. In fact several families and groups spend their annual vacation / retreat at "Mount LeConte Vista". HOW DID "MT LeCONTE VISTA" GET IT'S NAME?
"Mt LeConte Vista" is named for the cabin's great views of famous Mount LeConte, the 3rd highest peak in the National Park at 6,593 ft. above sea level. In addition to views of famous Mount LeConte, the cabin offers views of Downtown Gatlinburg and fantastic views of Ober Gatlinburg ski area. The night view of Downtown is very pretty! You'll enjoy sitting out on the main level deck at night to star gaze and see the twinkling lights of Downtown.

The direct views of Ober Gatlinburg ski resort/amusement park are a very special feature of "Mt LeConte Vista". From both decks and nearly every room in the cabin you will have closeup, direct views of Ober Gatlinburg. It's truly a unique experience to see the ski area from above.   • Cabin was a little older than i thought it would be, but it had character and we absolutely loved the view. Val & Ranee were very easy to work with. With so much to do around the area, we were at the chalet only in the mornings and evenings but enjoyed the time we were there. The hot tub needs to be updated or at least in working order. I enjoy a good evening in a hot tub after a day of activity. We didnt see any bears but did manage to see some wild turkeys and bobcats on our drive to Cades Cove. It takes some getting used to if you have never driven up and down a mountain on a daily basis, so there was a little adjustment that had to be made as far as getting used to using low gear in the minivan. Overall we had such a good time and would reccomend the chalet to others as a good place to relax and unwind. They clearly have done thier homework as it seemed anything we needed was already at the chalet and we didnt have to buy anything. Will definetly be back!

    As with all rentals, it is impossible to keep everything working 100% of the time. However, we want to assure our guests that when things break it is our TOP priority to get the item repaired ASAP. This guest was at the cabin for 4 nights with no issues. The hot tub issue arose on Sunday. We tried to get a repairman out on Sunday but were unable to do so. A repairman did go to the cabin first thing Monday morning and had the hot tub fixed (new motor, impeller, etc) the same day. We really pride ourselves on keeping everything in our properties in working order.

  • Wonderful time- very nice cabin and furnishings. Enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, as well as TVs- great location near the park. would have preferred not to look out over Obergatlinburg, but there was no noise, and the rest of the view was awesome.

  • Val and Renee, Thank you for opening up your chalet for me and my sisters and nieces to spend a very special Women Only Weekend (WOW) in memory of our mother and granny whom we lost in December 1999. We choose a different location each year for this gathering and my site (Gatlinburg) was chosen. I wanted a place where we could relax and spend some quality time together and Mt.   • My daughter and I stayed in the Mt La Conte Vista Chalet and had a fabulous time! The chalet was beautiful & very well equipped, the location is perfect. Only 3 miles up the mountian and very convenient. We enjoyed the sunsets & sunrises as well as the fire in the wood burning stove everynight. The hot tub & sauna are absolute plusses!   • We have vacationed in Gatlinburg for the past six years, and Mt. LaConte Vista had by far the most spectacular view we have ever seen. The chalet was very nice and had plenty of space for the six of us. We didn't get to see a bear at the chalet, but we did get to experience the first snow for 2008. Val and Renee, the owners of the property, are very professional and easy to work with. We would rent from them again. Eddie,Vickie,Jamey,Jessica,Evan and Betsy Lee.

  • Mt.LeConte Yista Chalet : So wind your way near the top and find a great view.Especially at night The Chalet just needs a larger deck to enjoy the views. The owners are very accomadating and did an excellent job of planning various ways to arrive at Mt. Le conte vista .You can count on many great photos and memories.
