Coco Cottage is a large 600 square feet air conditioned studio unit with a kitchen, tiled floors, sofa bed, a private yard with grill, picnic bench, hammock & chairs. This cottage is perfect for couples and small families. It can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. A full kitchen compliments this unit as does its private location. This cottage rents for $169 a day plus tax of 13.42% and a clean out fee of $100.
River Cottage Built in 1943 and remodeled in 2005, this beautiful 500-square-foot studio cottage has original hardwood floors, a full kitchen, air conditioning, and a private lanai. This romantic cottage offers luxurious comfort. The cottage accommodates 2 and rents for $149 a day plus tax of 13.42% and a clean out fee of $100.
Canal Cottage was built in 1953 and remodeled in 2008, This 700 square foot cottage is divided into two studio units. The rooms are furnished in a tropical style and offer comfortable accommodations for two.
Unit A has a fully equipped kitchenette and rents for $119 a day plus tax of 13.42% and a clean out fee of $85.
Unit B has a private lanai/patio but no kitchenette. There is a microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster, but no kitchen sink and no cooking facilities. This room rents for $99 a day plus tax of 13.42% and a clean out fee of $70.
Garden Cottage Built in 1942 & remodeled in 2006, this 400-square-foot studio cottage has air conditioning, hardwood floors, tiled bathroom, a queen bed and a river & garden view. The cottage accommodates 2 and rents for $109 a day plus tax of 13.42% and a clean out fee of $70.
Fern Grotto Inn is located on the bank of the Wailua River on the beautiful Island of Kauai. It is a five minute walk to the uncrowded, sandy beaches that dot this section of Kauai's world famous coastline. At your doorstep is the river dock where you can launch your own Kayak onto the Wailua River to explore and hike to Secret falls, which has a natural swimming hole at its base.

I organized the trip for my husband and I and two of my best friends and their spouses in Kapaa for a mutual friend's wedding. Wow did we make the right choice! Staying at the Fern Grotto Inn was perfect for our group of 6 adults. We each were able to have our own bedroom and bathroom giving the perfect amount of privacy & personal space. The home was tastefully decorated and perfectly accommodating. We loved having the washer and dryer and the free WIFI to stay connected to home. Thanks Paul! Our gracious hosts, Paul and Nausheen were wonderful. Prior to our arrival, they converted the two twins to a king for one of our couples. When we inquired about boogie boards, they realized they were "running low" and went immediately to purchase some for our recreation. It made for many fun days at the beautiful Kauai beaches! We would definitely love to return to the Ohana house or another one of their houses. P.S. Their boy and girl toddlers are also the cutest things I've ever seen.:)

This was our first time in Kauaii. Staying in the River Cottage just added that special touch to our visit. We felt right at home and can not wait to come back and stay here again. Thanks for making our visit most pleasureable! I recommend this to everyone.

This was our second trip to Kauai. The first time we stayed more towards the west side, this was much more convenient. Our stay was at the end of June 08. We had a group of 14 and the use of all the cottages. We stayed in this cottage and what a wonderful experience. The whole resort is beautiful. To have all the beach accessories available was great. I would definately recomend this resort and this cottage to everyone.

April 2007 was the first time we visited beautiful Kauai...at the first moment it was sure: we will come back again...so we did for our wedding in June 2008 . We decided to rent a cottage....Fern Grotto Inn was the perfect location because we married at the Coco Palms which is just across the street, the beach and the Wailua river are just steps away and it is the perfect place to reach any Kauai destination. The River Cottage is very beautiful and cozy with everything you need to feel like home. The garden is a breathtaking beauty with the singing of the birds and the smell from lovely blooming flowers it makes Fern Grotto Inn a piece of paradise on the most beautiful island we have ever seen. My boyfriend and I stayed at Fern Grotto Inn for a short getaway while he was on leave from the Army. We had a fabulous time and truly enjoyed the cottage. It was very cozy and clean. The location is perfect. Everything was better than we imagined. The price was right. I would definitely use the Fern Grotto Inn as a home base for any Kauai destination. In the future. Paul and Nausheen did an excellent job on the landscaping. The room was clean and if we needed anything Paul was very accessable. The nicest touch was that Paul brought us champagne at my father's request as it was our honeymoon. Thanks again for everything.

Paul and Nausheen - What a wonderful time we had in the River Cottage. It was all we needed and hoped for. It was calm, clean and made us feel like home. The garden like atmosphere of the grounds made us not want to leave and all within walking distance to the beach where each morning we watched the sunrise and the whales play. Mahalo again for sharing your corner of paradise with us. We are planning our next visit and will include the Fern Grotto Inn and the River Cottage in that stay also. Larry and Dianna

Our family (six adults) had the most wonderful time staying in Ohana House. The separated bedrooms gave us privacy when we wanted it, and the fabulous "community room" (kitchen/dining area) provided a great area for us all to hang out together. The home is wonderfully appointed with great attention to details. You truly feel like you are in your own Hawaiian home. The central location of the property in relation to the rest of the island makes it convenient to see the many splendors Kaua'i has to offer. Paul, Nausheen and their adorable twins are wonderful hosts. We will definitely be coming back!
