It is ocean front for spectacular viewing of sunrise, boating, and particularly whale watching in the winter months. The
Humpback Whales actually calf in Maalaea Bay right offshore from Maalaea Banyans. It's spectacular to watch a newborn calf jumping in front of its mother right in front of you!
Banyans also is adjacent to one of the longest undisturbed beaches in Maui. Three miles of gentle surf and soft sand create a beautiful place for a morning stroll at sunrise.

December 30, 2011 Aloha to our guests at Maalaea Banyans 201! We have just moved our unit Maalaea Banyans 201 to the VRBO listing. We are hoping you will leave your comments, favorite places to visit, dine, and just relax for our future guests. We have retired 4 full "in room" guest books over the past 5 years that were packed full of the great memories of our guests. We are now working on book #6 "in-room". We sincerely hope you will enjoy the serenity of Maalaea Banyans #201 as much as we do. We are centrally located to make all excursions easy, but off the "beaten path" enough that you can enjoy the peacefulness of Maalaea Bay. Be sure to take the beach walk along the undeveloped 3 miles of white sand that forms Maalaea Bay. Sunrise over Haleakala is spectacular ... don't miss it! An early evening beverage on our ocean front lanai can be equally spectacular. It's a great place to begin the evening's festivities, or just stay put. The great thing is the choice is yours!
