  Truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful location. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you. Far enough away to be truly relaxing but also close enough to enjoy most activities on Phuket. A car to get around is advisable. There are great deals to be had in this department. We rented from David Car rental near the airport and paid only $450 for 5 weeks of transportation. Thai drivers are to say the least, frightening. They think that traffic rules are only suggestions and they may or may not obey them so beware when driving. The apartment was furnished with everything you would require for a short or long stay. Bi weekly maid service also was provided. The decor was pleasant and inviting. The grounds were beautifully kept and I woke up most mornings to the sounds of the chirping birds. There was a a blue kingfisher bird that swooped into the pond looking for his meal most days. The blue wings on this bird were a thing to behold. The flowers were lovely and the scent of jasmine was present every day as I walked to the pool for a dip. The pool area was clean, quiet and well maintained and I spent many afternoons poolside with a book and a cool drink till the heat of the afternoon passed. The nearby Layan beach was also very uncongested as compared to some of the other beaches around Phuket like Patong or Surin. Plenty of restaurants on the beach which was about a 15 minute walk away. For Thai food I recommend Lay Phang on the beach. They will pick you up if required. Also nearby was Baan (big long name) restaurant which was just a 5 minute walk away on the main road. Unique and intersting decor and grounds and the Thai food was again very good. Also recommend Il Pesto restaurant and the Slug and Lettuce restaurant which was in nearby Cherngtalay for more European fare. Most excursions would pick you up at the complex for a minimal fee and take you right to your activity. This was quite handy and very convienient as compared to driving yourself. We used this service to go to Phuket Fantasea, Phang Nga speed boats, Phi Phi island tour and Kao Lakh. You can't go wrong booking your vacation here and Japp, the owner, was very helpful and professional in all our dealings. Five stars in my book.   We booked this apartment for a week starting the 4th April 2012. The owner, Jaap, made the booking process friendly, efficient and stress free. The apartment itself is of good quality and well resourced, ideal for a couple looking for a quite retreat or for a small family. The location is GREAT if you are looking for a quite break away from the crowds of the larger, more popular, beaches. The estate is fresh, clean and the communal pool is excellent. Being close to the airport is a definite advantage, especially as the location is undisturbed by air traffic. I would say, hiring a car or bike is essential, but that shouldn't put you off. The idyllic and peaceful location more than makes up for the requirement to hire a car! We hope to go back, I am sure any would-be traveller will enjoy this property! Highly recommended!

  Thailand is our favourite holiday destination, and this is our favourite holiday home.So much so that we have stayed several times. Ocean Breeze is set in one of Phukets most uncommercialised coastal areas, a high end development of plantation style buildings in gorgeous gardens, surrounding a pool to die for, and only a couple of minutes drive from the beautiful Layan Beach( walkable if you dont mind the heat) The apartment is just as the pictures show...perfect...clean, comfortable,and well equiped. Best of all is the huge fan cooled outside living area for eating,chilling, and enjoying the view. A view which takes your breath away each morning when you open the blinds. The gym,wifi,24/7 security, and a manned office are all an added bonus, as is the maid twice a week. There are several places to eat at the beach, and a nearby restaurant Baan Suan Layan which provides transport if required. Thai food is fabulous, but if you do wish to cook there are great local markets nearby ,selling a whole range of fresh produce,fruit and fish which are fun to shop in.Phuket also has huge supermarkets(not so much fun)and smaller tesco lotus which are handy. For serious shopping Patong has all the copy handbags,dvds, girls and traffic! In all my correspondence Jaap the Dutch owner has always been most helpful, and will be happy to give you lots of tips, or answer any queries. Phuket is a beautiful island with so much to see and do, and this is a perfect place to stay. Take our word for it, we are a well travelled English couple with high expectations ,who have just booked again for 2013

  I've been staying at Jaap's apartments for over a week in August together with my friends. The place is very comfortable, has a large pool, nice surroundings, and is very calm. The beach is nearby (around 500m), there's a good access to Thai food (there are two restaurants within 500m), and it's very relaxing after a busy day in one of the colorful towns of Phuket. Good price/performance. Jaap has also been very responsive and helpful about anything we needed, and made good suggestions on where to go in Phuket or where to do shopping.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

  The apartment was very nice and clean. everything what was needed was included in the apartment and the service was great. The location is close to the beach, within 5 minutes walk from the house you can arrive to a wonderful quite beach. the level of price of the apartment is in relation to the level of quality- therefore i would rate this apartment on scale 1 to 10 with the highest score.

  Thailand is our favourite holiday destination, and this apartment is definitely our favourite holiday home. So much so, we have stayed several times! As a well travelled English couple, with high expectations , this high end development of plantation style buildings set in gorgeous gardens, surrounding a truly lovely pool has everything to make our perfect holiday. Set in one of Phukets most uncommercialised coastal areas, with a pool to die for and beautiful Layan beach only a couple of minutes drive away (walkable if you don't mind the heat) The apartment is just as the pictures show.... perfect, clean,comfortable, and well equipped.Best of all is the fan cooled huge outside living area for eating,chilling, and enjoying the view. A view which takes your breath away every morning when you open the blinds! .A gym, wifi, 24/7 security, and a manned office are all an added bonus.No housework either, the maid comes in twice a week. Nearby there are a couple of restaurants. Baan suan layan, and Layan sea view (very steep road). The former and others in the area offer transport. If you want to cook there are great local markets nearby selling a whole range of fresh produce, fruit and fish, which are fun to shop in. Phuket also has huge supermarkets (not so much fun) and smaller tesco lotus which are handy.For serious shopping Patong has all the copy handbags, dvds etc, the girls and all the traffic! Phuket is a beautiful island, with so much to see and do, and this is a truly lovely apartment to stay in. In all my correspondence to the Dutch owner Jaap he has always been most helpful, and I am sure will be able to give you lots more tips, or answer any queries. I have just booked again for 2012!

A 50% payment is required upon reservation, whilst the remaining 50% should be paid one month in advance of arrival.
