We brought 4 grandchildren, our son, his wife and a brother-in-law to Casa de Campo for ten days in December. The house was perfect for our needs and exactly as advertised. It was well equipped for modern communication i.e. the internet. The children loved playing hide and seek in the large back yard and swimming in the pool. Those of us who were so inclined walked to and from the beach. The household help took very good care of us, and we enjoyed a couple of dinners prepared by "Ede." We had been to Casa many times so we knew to take advantage of restaurants at the Marina, and we enjoyed one evening spectacular and dinner at Altos de Chavon. Renting a golf cart or two is essential for getting around the resort. This is easily aranged through the owner or his house manager. We were disappointed that the Links golf course was closed while we were there, but it should reopen in March. The other courses were in great condition and fun to play.

We had a wonderful time at your beautiful home in Casa de Campo. Eddy and Francisco were fabulous. Eddy is an amazing cook. We had 4 adults and 6 kids and still had one open bedroom. It is such a large and spacious home. One of the children said if there was anything that they could bring home with them, it would be Eddy. We loved her Dominican cooking. We had a great time swimming and having our meals outside and just relaxing. The husbands enjoyed golfing. We will definitely be back.

Our group of 11 had the pleasure of staying in Len's home this March and it was an unforgettable stay from start to finish. The grounds of this residence are amazing - it's hard to believe how much space they have in the backyard until you see it with your own eyes. The hottub and pool are also beautiful, as are the decorations inside the house. As others have said, make sure to bring your iPod - the sound system throughout the house is icing on the cake! The staff is also very friendly, welcoming, and fantastic at what they do. Francisco is extremely friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were having the time of our lives. Thank you so much to Len and his family...we'll be back! Dan

I recently had gotten back, with seven other golfers, from Casa and had the pleasure of staying at villa 83285. This was my 16th year in a row visiting Casa and we opted to rent a villa this time, which proved to be a very good decision. The well appointed villa was very comfortable and the pool, hot tub and sound system made the trip even more relaxing. I had a chance to preview other villas in the area and by far, villa 83285 was best in show.
Owner response:Thanks Philip !

We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation at this spectacular villa to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. There were 3 generations all under one roof and the house is ideal for having many wonderful sitting areas and a beautiful outdoor pavilion for family meals and games under the stars! Fransisco and Eddie are just fabulous. They take care of all of your needs but are also very low key and lovely. We asked them to make their specialty for some lunches and we were treated to a fabulous dominican grilled chicken meal with delicious local produce. The location of the house is perfect. It is very near the beach and also close to the driving range and main hotel. This was our second stay at this villa and we will most certainly return for more wonderful memories in paradise. Thank you for everything!

Great spot to unwind with your family especially if you have teenagers. Casa de Campo is great for families with Teens and this house in particular is great. We had friends who visited and they thought this house layout was far better than their place. Good staff. Tennis and golf were great and we enjoyed good scuba.

We (6 adults) stayed at the villa for 5 nights in mid-late September. Villa was beautiful and exactly as described. Francisco and Edie were very pleasant and did a wonderful job. We used golf carts to get around, and when one didn't work as well as it should, Patricia (property manager) replaced it quickly. Enjoyed the Casa de Campo resort -- golf, spa, beach and restaurants. But mostly just enjoyed chilling at the villa and relaxing by the pool. Used our iPods for music - having the outside speakers was great. Only 2 complaints, though they are relatively minor. It would have been nice for the booklet at the villa (with information about the villa, resort, and La Romana area) to have been forwarded to us prior to our arrival, as it had some good travel advice and other tidbits that would have been helpful to know beforehand. Also, although the rental agreement states all the services and personal consumption by the tenant would be invoiced and paid directly to the hotel at the end of the stay, the property manager asked us to pay her directly by cash or check. We were not prepared for this, as we all brought just enough cash for the cabs and tip, but planned to use credit cards for all other costs. Luckily, one of us happen to have a checkbook in a side pocket of her purse. Just another thing that would have been nice to know beforehand. Overall, would definitely recommend.
Owner response:Thanks for the comments and recommendations. We must have missed emails on the pre-visit checklist, but Ill make certain in the future we remedy this and send it when we go final with the villa agreement. Also I will amend the agreement to be more clear on the added expenses so future guests can come more prepared.

We rented this home with another family and together we were 6 adults and 6 kids - all 7 and under. We chose the house because it seemed to have everything we wanted - central location within the resort, a pool and jacuzzi, a great yard and a staff. The photos looked great but when we arrived our jaws dropped - the house was stunning, but not in a fancy, over the top way. In a comfortable, yet luxurious way. The furniture was elegant, appropriate and didn't look worn or tired - like many vacation rentals do. The layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms was ideal and the common areas - especially outside - were perfect. We especially loved the outdoor dining areas - where we would gather for literally hours each day - in the early am thru breakfast, for lunch and again for afternoon cocktails/snacks and swim and then dinner. The 12 of us sat at the great table for every breakfast and lunch and many dinners. The staff - Edie and Francisco were amazing. Helpful, kind, accomodating and completely unobtrusive. They kept the house immaculate, cooked and served fabulous meals and were a great resource when we need local info. My girlfriend and I laughed about a how true vacation for us was not having to cook a meal, wash dishes or make a bed for 7 days! We also were thoroughly impressed with the owner and the management of the villa. He responded directly and promptly to all of my inquiries leading up to our stay. I knew it would be a well run property when I received a 15 page power point document pre-arrival detailing everything we needed to know about the house and Casa De Campo! We had one minor a/c problem on our last night there - a Sunday no less. It was early evening and we were due to depart the next day at 7am. Nonetheless, I contacted the owner in the states to inform him of the issue and within 20 minutes two repairmen were at our door and the problem was fixed. I couldn't have gotten such service at home in the States! Lastly, we loved the Casa De Campo experience. There was enough to do and see that our kids never got bored. They loved the beach, the marina and the main hotel pool (especially shirley temples at the swim up bar!) We enjoyed golfing, renting a 40 ' boat for the day the marina and eating at the hotel and marina restaurants - all delicious. I can't say enough good things about our trip and the home. We will definitely return and I would highly recommend renting Los Lagos 72 to anyone considering a trip to Casa De Campo!
Owner response:Wow this is about as nice a review as any owner can ask for.... Thanks Rachel !

We had 4 couples staying here last week for a combined golf trip and vacation with spouses. The Villa is a perfect place to stay. The staff spoil you with excellent service and friendly smiles every day. Have breakfast and lunch served to you every day outdoors, enjoy a cool dip in the pool or relax in the large hot tub with a cold Presidente beer (good stuff). Walk to the beach in 10 minutes. If you like to cook your own meals, which we did five nights, the kitchen can get a little hot since it is not A/C and there is no exhaust fan for the gas stove. Bedrooms all have A/C and are very comfortable. Overall highly recommend it. Easy to get around Casa De Campo with a golf cart including the Market at the Marina. Need rental car if you want to shop in La Romano. Recommend flying into La Romano airport. We flew into Santo Domingo and rented cars. Drive was not bad but be prepared - there are no real "rules for the road" and you need to keep a sharp eye on the locals. If you play golf the three courses at Casa are great although quite expensive.

What a wonderful house and a wonderful vacation. What else is there to say. Everything worked out perfectly considering we were 12 people. Edie and Francisco needless to say catered to our every need with a smile. Edie is the happiest person and when asked she said "muy contento". We thought that was amazing. The outdoor area is what makes the house so special and we loved being out there. We hope to return soon. Margie

My friends and I stayed at the villa in Jan 2010 for 4 days. We really enjoyed the villa and its amenities. The staff in particular was very helpful in every way and extremely accommodating of our requests. The villa itself is very well done - modern with just the right touches of Caribbean elements. The hot-tub and the outdoor dining/lounging areas were our favorite spots to chill!! I would highly recommend this villa to anyone considering a trip to Casa De Campo. Most of our other friends staying at the hotel were jealous and came to the villa everyday to hang out with us.

My family and I just returned to Canada after a wonderful week at your villa in Casa de Campo. The villa is beautiful, with 3 children in our group of 12 we spent countless hours in and around the lovely pool, and we were glad to be a so close to the beach that we could walk or take the golf cart. Eddy and Francisco were both terrific, the food was wonderful and they made us feel welcome and comfortable. You have a beautiful home in the DR and I will recommend it to friends. Many Thanks. My team and I spent a few days at Los Lagos 72 after serving on a missions outreach near Santo Domingo. The home is beautiful! Spacious, centrally located, and wonderfully equipped, this was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Casa de Campo. The golf is incredible, the beach beautiful, and Altos de Chavon is a "can't miss". Francisco is a great host and helper - I do hope to return in the future.

Los Lagos 72 is wonderful! Our family had a fantastic time at Casa de Campo for a wedding, and the house was perfect. Its central location on the resort made getting around very easy. We rode golf carts to the marina, the golf courses, the beach, and everywhere else and it was very easy. The gazebo, pool and hot tub were perfect, and our entire family loved it. Francisco and Eddie were warm, friendly, kind and extremely helpful, and Eddie loves young kids. Patricia arranged everything for us before we arrived and was also very helpful. We had a great vacation, and this home was a big part of it. Thanks for everything.

My husband and I hosted an intimate family reunion at Los Lagos 72 in April 2009, and we were astounded by this beautiful home. We have stayed in Casa de Campo in the past at a Golf Villa, but Los Lagos 72 has set a new standard for us. The outside living areas were our favorite! Francisco delivered our meals to the massive table located in the outside living space. We listened to our iPod playlists day and night throughout the house and the grounds. The children in our group loved playing in the expansive back yard, pool and jacuzzi. The air conditioning was so good--the best we've ever experienced in the Caribbean! Los Lagos 72 is very close to the beach, and with the 2 golf carts we rented, we moved around to La Marina and Minitas Beach just fine--no car rental needed. We took a nice day trip to Saona Island, as well, and I would highly recommend it.

Our group of six spent a week in Nov. 2008 at this lovely villa. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful surroundings, and being pampered by the full time staff. There is plenty to do in Casa de Campo if one chooses to be busy. We played golf, lounged on the beach and went shooting, in addition to eating Eddie's great cooking and being pool/lounge potatoes! Len: We would like to thank you for the opportunity to spend a week of total relaxation at your fabulous home in Casa De Campo. Your home is well designed and ideal for 4 or 5 couples. Your staff of Francisco and Eddie is an ideal complement to the villa. They provide outstanding service and help to make the week even more enjoyable. While we were we in Casa De Campo a little before the season started, the weather was perfect. The beach is an outstanding amenity for the week or relaxation.. It is close either for walking or using the golf carts. The marina and Alta Chevon were quiet however enjoyable. It is obvious that you put a lot of effort into up-dating the house during your recent renovation. You did a great job. It is very comfortable and clearly first class. Thanks again. The Cutters

Our visit to Casa De Campo will be one to remember thanks to Len and his staff. His home is beautiful beyond any picture. The back yard is enchanted and a place we all loved to retreat to at the end of the day for a swim. The Staff is the most amazing people anyone could ever have. I brought down friends and family to celebrate Chris' 50th. We were greeted with smiles, assistance and drinks upon arrival. The guests were amazed at how beautiful this home is. The food was better than a restaurant. Golf was a dream come true, La Casita restaurant was my favorite. Beach is so close to the house and beautiful!! Altos De Chavron is a must. We will return and have many offers from friends to join us after seeing our pictures and hearing our story. This is a one of a kind home in a one of a kind place. Thanks so much for allowing us to spend the time of our life in this paradise!! Lorraine and Chris

All I can say is WOW!. Often times the description and pictures do not match reality. In this case reality EXCEEDED the pictures. I just came back from a week at Los Lagos 72 and there is absolutely nothing negative I can say about my stay or the house. It is newly renovated and the workmanship and furnishings are top notch. Outside you will find paradise, a large pool, a hot tub and two large covered seating areas. If you plan on entertaining or simply like being in the outdoors, this is the place for you. Bring your Ipod and you can hear your favorite music inside and out on the excellent audio system. Inside, you will find brand new furnishings, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, large air-conditioned bedrooms, and exquisite bathrooms…believe me when I say that villa photographs well, but it is so much better in person.I went down for a wedding and over the days that I was there just about every member of the wedding party came by and asked for a guided tour the villa and all left jealous. The beach is within a 10 min walk (or 5 minute cart ride), but be warned - the villa is so nice you may never want to leave. When you do leave, be sure to bring your golf clubs as the Teeth and DyeFore are challenging, but fair courses….my mornings were filled with golf and my afternoons were filled with hours in the pool, time on the beach and time just enjoying the beautiful surroundings at Casa de Campo.I saved the best for last. The staff, Francisco (landscaping, handyman, butler) and Eddie (cook, maid) are beyond compare. Their service was excellent, but much more enjoyable was simply their friendly demeanor and conversation...their presence was a great blessing.I will wrap this up by saying that on the night before my originally scheduled departure, I simply couldn’t do it…I contacted the property owner and asked to extend my stay!!!

My family has stayed here 2 years now (pre and post renovation). Location is fantastic and the property itself is a private retreat. Both times we only made it to the beach (which is only a few mins away by golf cart) a few times since we end up hanging out by the pool and the outdoor patio area. Suggestions for a comfortable stay include a mosquito repellent for the evening, aqua socks or similar since the ocean does may have coral and similar underfoot, and CDs/MP3 as they have a great outdoor stereo system. Point of interest... we traveled with a 2 yo and a 1 yo and found the house to be no problem for small kids. Although we did bring a play pen to make sure the youngest wouldn't crawl into the pool). The house also has a collection of kids pool/beach toys in the laundry room that we didn't discover until we were leaving. Eddie the cook was WONDERFUL. Can't stress that point enough. Everyone gained at least 5 lbs!!!

Look no further for the ultimate in luxury and hospitality. Los Lagos 72 is a dream come true. The house is amazing in every aspect. Not a detail to be overlooked, the design and decor are both first class. You will find everything to be modern, impeccably clean and ultra luxurious. The outside living and dining area will be your home away from home... only better! Fransisco and Eddie will cater to your every need. You need not think for yourself as everything from morning coffee to freshly pressed clothes will be laid out for you. Your meals are prepared with great care and served in a way that will leave you feeling pampered and satisfied. Patricia is the property manager and made sure our fridge was stocked and there was a golf cart waiting for us. You will need the cart to explore the Casa de Campo property, but will more likely find yourself never wanting to leave the house! We had a fantastic time and will certainly return to Los Lagos 72 soon!

It's beautifully set on a large, private well-landscaped yard only a short walk to the beach. There are two wonderful outdoor seating areas and this is where we spent most of our time. The staff were wonderful and attentive to our every need - and the food was fabulous with amazing presentations! It was a perfect family vacation and we would definitely stay here again.

My wife, four teenagers and I enjyed one of the best vacations we have ever had. Casa de Campo is an adult Disney Land: it is perfectly maintained and operated. Golf tennis, swimming and more: never a dull moment. The focal point of our vacation was this OUTSTANDING house. It is mint condition, inside and out. The furnishings are of the highest quality and the decorating is very pleasing to the eye. The staff (cook and butler) were amazing. We wanted to take them home. No question we will be repeat guests here. This home is close to everything at CDC (with golf cart).

The stay at the villa was great. We got god service by the staf and they did all that was possible to help us. But one thing are that we was not allowed to bring in guest to the area. That even when we was talking and got extra guestcards from the reception. We was stopt by the securitygate. That are as we saw it a big problem and an extra cost for us as guest becouse we hade to take a taxi and meet ouer guest outside the area.
Owner response:Any guests that are not registered at the "villa owners club" at the main hotel after check in are scrutinized at the main gate for the safety and security of the community in the eyes of the resort management. Please make sure that all adults that wish to re enter the resort have their passes with them.
