The Cottage at Pine Ridge is a destination in itself! Originally built by the Pabst Brewing Family, this Lakefront Cottage is 1/2 mile off the main road and centered on 18 acres of lush forest. The remarkably unique and beautiful terrain was sculpted by an ancient glacier which formed the Kettle Moraine region. With frontage on a small, private lake (formed in a glacier-carved kettle) and lovely In-ground Pool in the woods, guests enjoy peace and privacy at this secluded retreat, which is available for short-term stays.
The owners/caretakers live in the Main House on the property. Those with confirmed reservations in the Cottage can relax in the Luxury and Privacy of being our ONLY guests! They are invited to enjoy, EXCLUSIVELY, the pool & poolhouse in the woods along with the boats & pier on the private lake.
Cottage amenities include:
- Your EXCLUSIVE use of the lovely in-ground pool & pool house in the woods. Truly relax...the pool is 20x40 feet with a deep end of 9 feet. The pool house is an airy, furnished room that is surrounded on 3 sides by forest, with the 4th side facing the pool. A full refrigerator/freezer and comfortable teak furnishings on the deck allow for an enjoyable day and/or early evening at poolside.
- Use of the private lake. A leisurely row on the peaceful lake before retiring will make for a relaxing evening and a good night's rest. Enjoy the row boat or paddle boat, along with our 12 foot pier. Fishing usually provides an abundant catch of bass, bluegill and perch! No fishing license is required. Or... simply take in the quiet and natural beauty of the lake.
- The beautiful grounds. Centered on 18 acres of dense forest, the Cottage sits atop a glacier-sculpted kettle, overlooking the lake below which was formed in that kettle. With direct lake frontage, the only thing between the lake and Cottage are trees. A peaceful walking path through the natural wooded property, partially down a steep hill, will get you to the lake in about 5 minute's time at a leisurely pace. The lake is about 30 acres in size, not condusive to power boating. Without a sand beach or bottom, it's enjoyed by those who'd like a quiet setting for fishing and/or viewing a wide variety of plants & animals in their natural environment.
- A private deck off the Cottage and amongst the trees creates a peaceful setting for evening cocktails or your first morning coffee. Although not guaranteed, guests who are quiet and watchful often take pleasure in being "at one with nature" in the forest. It's not unusual for them to see deer, woodchucks, red fox, wild turkeys, owls, cranes, geese, ducks including wood ducks in trees, humming birds, hawks, owls, and other smaller animals and plants in their natural environment.
- A fully equipped kitchen & outdoor Weber grill, including charcoal.
- Bed linens and towels are provided.
- Wood for the fireplace, in season.
- Sleeps 4 comfortably, up to a maximum of 8 guests.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
High Season Base Rate*: $325-$425/night, 3 night minimum.
Mid Season Base Rate*: $275-$325/night, 2 night minimum.
Low Season Base Rate*: $225-$275/night, 2 night minimum.
*Base Rate includes occupancy of 1-4 people.
Add $30 per person per night for extra guests (maximum of 8). Sales tax is 5.5%.
There is no service charge for cleaning, nor is a security deposit required.
