We recently spent four nights at this property, during our first trip to the Alabama gulf area. The description of the property is accurate, although it was a little further from everything than I anticipated (but that was fine). For those wanting to be nearer to the activities/restaurants/shopping in Gulf Shores, this might not be the best choice. It took us 25-30 minutes to get back into Gulf Shores. There is really nothing else out near the house, other than the marina (with the cruddy Tacky Jacks restaurant) and the Beach Club. The house was clean for the most part. I did scrub the coffee pot because it looked like it hadn't been washed in several months, and I had to remove a clump of slimy gunk out of the sink. Otherwise, the house was neat and tidy. We did have a few issues we reported, and the property managers did offer to come right out and fix things. The view of the bay is nice - we spent several hours sitting in our chairs by the water. The gulf is across the street, and you cannot see it from the house. We drove over one day and checked it out, but we spent most of our time just hanging out by the water closest to the house. I would recommend this property to others who want quiet and seclusion. If you want a beach-front house and want to be close to more amenities, this probably wouldn't be the best choice!

Wonderful stay and great location for fishermen! Great personal beach on the bay and nicely appointed house on the inside. Entertainment center was minimal and could use upgrades and the front stairwell blocks the underneath carport from parking a car or a boat under the house. No internet but the neighbor had internet so it is available and should be added. Downstairs electrical wasn't wired so bring your own extension cord for a boat battery charger, etc. Hose and water hookups for serious boaters are minimally adequate. Location is Excellent for fisherman, close to Tachy Jacks II for bait and to boat ramp at Fort Morgan. For vacationing, excellent property for the price in October, but for a serious base camp for boating and fishing it is adequate.

What a nice place to spend our honeymoon! We thouroughly enjoyed the quiet, cozy, private area after the business of planning a wedding. We spent a pleasant day at Dauphin Island and even saw a few dolphins! The beach at the end of Mobile Street is very nice-watch for sting rays. Instead of spending a lot of money eating out, we chose to cook most of our own meals. The grill was put to good use-chicken, fish, shrimp, steaks...yum! Our last day was spent at the beach. We had a wonderful time relaxing, swimming, flying a kite, etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This was a wonderful experience. 3 of us enjoyed the house, beach, bonfire, deck, grill, kitchen, sunsets (didn't get up early enough for sunrise!) Glad we chose the quiet and seclusion over the high rises. We ate out a few times but mostly enjoyed the fresh catch at the markets and doing it ourselves. Thanks-Another great vacation experience D Manson, Durango, Ga.

We just returned from our wonderful stay in this home! Beautifully decorated, comfortable and nice kitchen for cooking (I watched the sunset every night out the kitchen sink window). The beach was super secluded, saw dolphins swimming in our bay and we even caught redfish and sheepshead from our little point - YUM! Also walked to the "big" beach for the rolling surf but it was nice for our 3-year-old to play in the calmer surf and sand right outside our door. One warning -- watch for jellyfish! We had a bunch of little ones wash up for a couple days but then they were gone. We also would've liked a grill so pack one if you're planning on cooking outside (we just bought a little one in town at Al's 5 & 10.) Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to come back!
Owner response:We have added a charcoal grill to the property. Thanks for the suggestion!

This was a great place to stay with a relaxing deck to watch the sunset from. Home away from home with easy beach access - just a walk across the street or stay on the private beach outside your backdoor. Highly recommended!

Just got back from this great house. It was beautifully decorated and super clean. Everything looks brand new. Loved the big front porch to watch the sunsets and boats. 2 beaches, one right outside the door and another one a 5 minute walk away. Had great time. Weather was beautiful and there always seemed to be a breeze. Very private location.
