This charming home is on a quiet street within walking distance to everything in town. It has all the charm of an older home with the conveniences of a newer home. The home is much nicer than the photos reflect. There is a great back deck with a beautiful view and a lovely front porch with comfortable wicker furniture where you can just sit and read or visit with family. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and nicely decorated . I wish my bathroom at home was as big as the one in this home. The owners are lovely people and very helpful. My family had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back.

Walk into this immaculate, beautifully furnished home and feel completely at ease. The kitchen is truly upscale, but in keeping with the history and character of the house. Travelers should be aware that the bathroom is on the second floor, but it is spacious, well stocked and very attractive. The location is convenient in the adorable and friendly town. Grocery, dining, church, historical attractions, shopping, the YMCA and fishing are within an easy walk. Other attractions are an easy drive. The setting is beautiful with lovely mountain views from the home. Your hostess is unobtrusive but ready to provide anything needed to make your stay complete. Make your reservation soon; this is not to be missed!

Wondeful hostess goes the extra mile to ensure a very clean and well stocked rental! We were impressed with this in-town rental. I have a toddler and usually feel the need to wipe down everything in a rental/hotel room with disenfectant wipes - but, this place felt cleaner than my own home! Comfortable furnishings, central a/c, fully equiped kitchen, huge bathroom! Parking is on the street. Not an issue for us - but, maybe some. Nice grassy back yard w/ a two level deck (grill). Cute front porch. She provides all linens. W/D on second level. She goes as far to keep extra toiletries for you! The kitchen is more than fully stocked - she even has condiments in the fridge and spices, coffee, creamer in the cupboards - way over the expected or norm. Beds were adequate. My wish list would have a king maybe on the third floor. Full kinda small for two adults IMO. Also, a second bath - even a powder room on the first floor but be great - but, remember this is an old home - that's how they came! We rented from Friday to Monday or 3 nights, which is thier minimum. We only wanted two nights, but we settled for three.
Owner response:We're so glad that everyone loves the home. There is PLENTY of off street parking-- guess these folks just didn't notice it. There is a pull-in with parking area on the lower (left) side of the house, some of our guests park two cars there. Parking is also available in the backyard by pulling in from the alley. Two church parking lots are 1/2 block in either direction. And street parking is easiest of all! Just to clarify: There is a very nice queen size bed on the second floor, the full size bed is on the third floor, as stated in the listing. We are geared to monthly and weekly rentals, and the house is not child proofed in any way.
Recommended for:Families with young children.
