  This was our first vacation with kids & grandkids. This 3BR/3BA condo was wonderful. Spectacular views, great location (close to beach, pool, stores, restaurants), nice facility! Owners helpful and friendly. We, our two sons and daughters-in-law, and two grandbabies had a blast! This beach is the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I have been to Hawaii, the Coasta del Sol in Spain, and the Riviera Maya. We want to do this every year!! We also enjoyed the Baytown Wharf (you must eat breakfast at Another Broken Egg), & the Crab Trap restaurant. A good time was had by all. Thanks for sharing your lovely condo!

  It was our first visit to the Mainsail at Miramar Beach. The location was very convenient. The beach was beautiful. The condo was clean and spacious. We enjoyed a wonderful view of the beach. We were very happy with all the accomodations and highly recommend this unit.

  The good: The Mainsail complex is great. We loved the pools, hot tub, location, and complimentary beach setup. The grounds and complex are very well maintained. The owner Sue was prompt in responding to emails and phone calls, and was nice to deal with. The bad: The microwave handle is missing (I was shown by the cleaning lady how to open it with a butter knife), I was also told by the cleaning lady that the previous renters where allowed to have a dog ( I thought "no pets allowed" meant just that). There are multiple lights that are either missing or burned out, the bathroom door in the master bedroom have been removed and are in the closet, the laundry closet door is off track and will not close, the balcony has only 2 chairs ( the unit sleeps 6) and the carpeting in the bedrooms is very dirty, actually filthy in the master bedroom. Also the picture "view from balcony" is very misleading as this is a 7th floor unit and impossible for this picture to be accurate. The view is a very nice one from the balcony but it is of the adjoining neighborhood not much of a beach view at all. We plan to stay again at Mainsail but will rent a different unit.

  Owner response: After reading this review, we were "somewhat disappointed". Our condo is Platinum rated. It is Platinum rated for a reason.... not just because it is well appointed and has a fantastic view, but because as owners...we pride ourselves in attending to every detail and issue, no matter how small. The part for the microwave was ordered as soon as we learned that it was broken. Unfortunately, there was a 6-7 day delivery time for the part to arrive. It is now in fine working order. We have a utility closet that guests can access. it contains brooms , mops, LIGHT BULBS and and assorted beach toys. If a guest feels it is too much work to replace a light bulb..... the maintenance team at Mainsail Resort is very knowledgeable and helpful. With one phone call, they will (at no charge ) fix any problem a guest is having, whether it is a laundry door that has come off track or something as simple as replacing a light bulb. The view from our 7th floor balcony has the most spectacular, (uninhibited) view of the Gulf of Mexico you could ever imagine, as every one of our previous guests will attest to. (read their reviews) The balconies at the Mainsail only have enough room to comfortably fit two chairs with footstools and a table.....which is exactly what we offer. Putting more chairs on the deck would only crowd the area. The doors mentioned in the review that were removed in the master bedroom, were removed purposely to open the bedroom to the vanity and sink area of the Master suite. All master suites are built this way, and it was our choice to remove them. There is another door that separates the vanity area from the shower and toilet. (as it should be). As owners, we clean carpets twice annually, and replace every 3 years. Unfortunately, in August, (the end of "peak season") the carpets will show a little wear. We have already scheduled new carpet installation for next month. Finally, we do not ALLOW pets in our condo. We only learned of this violation of our rules from security AFTER the guests had checked out. This is our home away from home. We rely on our guests (many of them repeat visitors) to inform us of any problems they might encounter so that we can hopefully "make it right" for them. We want nothing more than to have their stay be pleasant and relaxing.

  The owners were very hospitable and worked with my group to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Their condo is absolutely beautiful and so is the view. It is close to grocery stores and the outlets. Everyone we met while down there was very nice. All in all an A+ vacation!

  This condo is my favorite of all the ones we've stayed in. This is a great condo, beautifully decorated, spacious and right on the beach. It was a perfect fit for our family with the 3 bedrooms (2 king, 1 queen), each with it's own television and bathroom. They are spaced apart to give everyone their privacy. The kitchen was great and comes with everything you would need. This unit is just off the elevator on the 7th floor overlooking the pool area, but also has a nice view of the beach from the balcony on the other side of the condo - no high rises to block the view! There is a nice workout room and tennis courts, plus a wonderful grill area close to the pool. My favorite thing to do is just go to the beach, so I was thrilled when I saw the boardwalk that leads to the beach. It makes for an easy walk back and forth. The complex is well-kept with covered parking and a helpful, friendly staff. It's in a great location - directly across the street from Silver Sands Factory Outlets and Winn-Dixie! I would recommend this condo to anyone, and I know my family will definitely be back next summer!

  This ranks right up there with one of our favorite spots ever! We enjoyed this beautifully decorated and comfortable condo; it has a very spa-like atmosphere. Each room had a television and a bathroom, which was great for our family. The boys enjoyed skim-boarding at the beach, playing at the pools, tennis courts, and just walking around the complex. I especially enjoyed being so close to the grocery store and shopping, we could walk anywhere. Thanks for sharing your wonderful condo with our family...we will definately be back!

  A group of Oklahoma families make a pilgrimage to Destin for the last 17 years shortly after kids are out of school. We've stayed at Mainsail for the last 12 years for the following reasons: A. Location, location, location...directly on the beach, no raods to cross & proximity to shopping B. Size & condition of condo for reasonable rates C. Safety & security D. Includes beach service This is the first year we've had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful condo #372. It's on the 7th floor and the view is spectacular to the east. No highrise obstructions close by and the gulf vistas are truly amazing. Amentities in this updated unit are top-notch, photos don't capture everything. Well stocked kitchen, beautiful baths and great beds! We will be back next year for certain!
