This is the perfect place to be able to relax. The listing is accurate. This house is well-stocked with everything that you will need. Everything is clean. The owner is very nice. We communicated via phone and email. The beach and bay are easy to get to. The view from any of the rooms is beautiful. Since my dog is welcome, I hope that this property will be available when I plan another getaway.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children.

What a perfect place for a getaway! There are plenty of windows on the bayside and with the curtains open you have a wonderful view. The same can be said for sitting on the porch on the main level. The screened-in porch upstairs is sitting practically in the treetops and makes for great birdwatching. The house is very comfortable with everything that we needed right at hand. We took our daughter and two grandchildren and had plenty of room. There are two bedrooms and baths downstairs and the master is upstairs. This allowed for some alone time. In general, the whole house is quiet though. The main sound is the cicada bugs in the trees outside. The homes on the bayside in the Plantation are surrounded by woods and very private. There are 4 bicycles at the home and we took our granddaughter's bike trailer along with us. It was a quick 3 block ride to the beach. It is less than a mile to the community pool. We were lazy and took the car there but could have easily ridden the bikes. The pool is just across from the beach. Sikes Cut was a bit farther and we always took the car. There are parking spaces and a path through to the beach and cut. It is quite a walk. I'd recommend taking minimal stuff along. There is a rock 'jetty' at the opening of the cut where people fish. On the beach side of the cut, we kept seeing people catching blue crabs with their nets, just scooping them up. We decided to give it a try and the grandson had a ball. We prefer catch and release just because blue crabs are a lot of work to clean. We were thrilled the first time that we went to St George.It is such a quiet and laid back place, without the traffic and water and amusement parks that so many beach towns have. We love that the thing to do here is relax, spend time with the family... swim, build a sand castle, fish and if it should rain, play a board game or put together a puzzle. We usually eat out once or twice but love having a kitchen that is well equipped and be able to stay in. It is so easy to pick up some local shrimp and throw them in the oven or on the grill. I noticed a basket by the grill for cooking seafood. Grilling fish would be great. We just don't bother. Our fishing is catch and release as the kids don't care for them. Finally to the point, would we stay here again? Absolutely! The house is a good size, the furnishings were comfortable, the beach is close, and we had a great time. It will be the first place I check for availability next trip.
