This is a beautiful cottage situated on a wooded four-acre lot. The property borders Lake Towhee County Park lands and is within one mile of Lake Nockamixon State Park that envelops a 1450-acre lake and 2010 acres of state game lands that include Haycock Mountain. The house offers privacy without being too isolated.
The home is charming, comfortable and well-appointed. It has hardwood floors throughout and Corian countertops in the kitchen, bathroom and powder room. The country kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials and basic spices.
There is a relaxing family room with a beautiful stone fireplace. Firewood is provided. A large picture window offers a stunning view of the wooded backyard where wildlife can frequently be observed. Deer, wild turkeys, foxes and numerous species of birds can be seen almost any day of the year.
The dining room table seats six comfortably. A game/puzzle room is located on the first floor as is the living room where videos and DVDs are provided for our guests' enjoyment.
All bed, bath and kitchen linens are included. We also provide hand, laundry and dish soap.
Upstairs are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is spacious and has a queen-size bed with a luxuriously plush mattress. The second bedroom has two twin beds, and the third bedroom has a full bed.

A wonderful respite from reality. The house has everything you would need and was spotless. Nockamixon Park was a quick drive away but the back of the cottage was its own park, teemiing with deer and other animals. Wilco and Kathy are wonderful caretakers and I highly recommend the cottage for a quiet and private getaway.

12/28/09 - 1/4/10: We had a perfect vacation! The cottage is just as described, very charming and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with all that you may need and the fireplace in the family room is wonderful. The location is terrific, very near shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Haycock over Christmas in 2009; it was near Philly and close enough to our family in NJ. We will definately stay again, the house was very comfortable for the 5 of us, the fireplace was wonderful and the highspeed internet was a nice surprise. The cottage is tucked away in the woods with plentiful wildlife and a beautiful forest behind. The beds were comfortable and there was plentiful towels, blankets and throws for warming up by the fire. We love it! The only drawback was the electric stove but that was only a small inconvienence. The cottage comes with board games, puzzles, and sat TV! It's got everything, a great find

We stayed over on Labor Day weekend of 2009. What a pristine and cozy cottage nestled in its gorgeous location next to two parks. We were a party of 5 adults and a 4-year old and an infant of 6 months. The cottage was perfect for us. The electrical outlets were child-proofed and there were children's games to keep my active 4-year old entertained (a bonus!). The outside is as neat and tidy as the inside, the lawn and backyard facing a park is beautifully appointed. We will definitely stay if we are in the north-Philly area again! Very highly recommended to all families.

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. Sometimes vacations can be difficult with children in tow so it helps to have a "home away from home" to return to after a day's worth of adventures. Having your home to return to after spending the day at Sesame Place was a godsend. It was such a relaxing, cozy place. My sister loved what she referred to as the "reading room" where she just settled into the comfy chair and read her books. And my daughter found her new favorite game with "Don't Spill the Beans", which we played many times in the game room. Thanks again for your warm hospitality. We are certainly considering staying at your residence again in a few years when we return to PA to visit Hershey!

My son got married at Font Hill in July and I decided to rent a house for a week for my family. We were pleasantly surprised how perfect the house was for our needs. It was comfortable, affordable and had many amenities that were very convenient to all of us. We fond Wilco and Kathy to be hospitable hosts and were very accommodating to our plans. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the quiet countryside and enjoy a relaxing vacation.

I can't say enough about this property. The home owner have the house stocked with all the basic you would need! It was absolutley immaculate, homey & a real retreat! Once the kids were tucked into bed after a long hard day at sesame place we (mom & dad) got to unwind & relax. Much better that beingn stuck in a hotel!! So worth the drive to the park. So if you have your doubts about renting, forget them because you wil not regret it!!

This cottage is PERFECT if you need some quiet time in the country. It is in a great location and has everything that you could ever need. It feels like your home - clean and comfortable. OR you could use the cottage for what we did. We got married in Bucks County and needed a place for two nights. The cottage gave me and my girls a place to stay the night before the wedding and a place for my husband and I to stay after we got married. It cut down half of our travel time and saved us a lot of money. Bucks County has only bed and breakfasts that are quite pricey, have 3 night minimums and definitely are not as private. Thank you so much Wilco & Kathy! I am not lying when I say that your Cottage was perfect and made our wedding that much more special. We will never forget you :)
