Welcome to Green Oasis: a beautiful, luxurious, spacious three bedroom, three bathroom house in the desirable wind-free South Palm Springs area. House is only a few minutes to downtown Palm Springs and the Resort Spa Casino as well as the Smoke Tree shopping complex. This house is powered by solar panels, with conventional back up, and our pool and spa are warmed by a gas heater with the help of a solar heater. Utilities for renters during fall through spring are very reasonable since most of the pool heating and electricity are supplied by sunshine. Our beautiful desert-scape garden saves on water and our lighting system saves on energy.
Very private backyard is planted with mature citrus trees -- loaded with fruit in winter, fragrant with blossoms in Spring. Fantastic view of mountains in the West for amazing sunsets and cloud shows. Pool and spa have wonderful, healthful saline water system and backyard features a new and beautiful gas barbecue and extra comfy lawn furniture with the thickest cushions. Master bedroom features California king bed and walls covered with Shag (Josh Aigle) prints. Master has 37 inch flat screen t.v. with DVD player and cable. Second bedroom is great for kids with twin beds and t.v. with DVD player. Twin beds can be pushed together as a single bed. Den has wide-screen television and cable with HBO, sound system, and a pull-out couch for two more sleepers. Back bedroom has queen bed and flat screen t.v. with cable.
Kitchen is fully equipped with bake ware, mixer, panini maker, blender, etc. and also has PC with DSL. Living room has cathedral ceiling, piano, fireplace, loads of original art and African wood sculptures.
Pack and play and high chair may be available upon request.
Directly across from the house is a park with two well maintained tennis courts that are always available. Play at night under the lights and enjoy our croquet set on the grass. Area is lovely, quiet, sandwiched between golf courses and parks -- a warm and tranquil piece of paradise.
Will consider small to medium, housebroken, non-chewing, flea-free dogs. Use credit card through PayPal with 3% service charge for North American guests.

"My needs were simple. To celebrate my partner’s birthday, I wanted a weeklong rental of a nice house in Palm Springs, with a pool and enough bathrooms and beds for her family to join us on the weekend. The pictures and descriptions on the website were nice, but having rented many vacation homes in the past, I know that things are not always as they appear on screen. That was absolutely not the case on Alta Loma Drive. My high expectations were quickly exceeded. Here’s what we got: a beautiful, clean and uniquely decorated and lit home and outdoor area, a heated saltwater pool and spa, a great kitchen with every appliance we would need (and we cooked 3 meals a day), TVs in every room, a great sound system and home theater set-up, outdoor dining, a manicured park and private tennis courts across the street, (rackets and balls provided), a computer with fast internet access, breeze-manufacturing ceiling fans outside, and very nice neighbors. We’d had big plans to visit downtown, go to Joshua Tree, see some interesting desert architecture, etc. It didn’t happen. Except to shop for groceries, we never left the house. It was as close to perfect as eight days at 110+ degrees can be.
I was hesitant to post this note for obvious reasons. I don’t want you renting this beautiful house the next time I call Clark to check its availability.

Here in Los Angeles I am a property manager for a charming house and guest house in West Hollywood frequently rented by actors, writers, producers and other members of the entertainment industry. I also manage two beautiful houses in Hanalei, Hawaii on spectacular Kauai. My husband, daughter, son-in-law and two (young) teenage grandchildren stay at this house for 4 days and had a WONDERFUL time! The house is laid out so that everybody was comfortable and had privacy. This house would even be good for 2 or 3 couples to share. The "outdoor" living space is excellant! I wish the weather had been a little bit cooler so we could have enjoyed that more. However, we did enjoy having our coffee on the patio and the evenings were nice as well. The pool is sparkling clean and a good size. The house was very clean as well and had a well equipped kitchen, which is important to us. The art work was interesting and we were continually finding new surprises as we looked around. As we were leaving, our daughter had her calander out to see when we all could go back for a whole week! We WILL BE BACK. Also, working with Clark was a pleasure. He was helpful in our renting this house and was very patient we me and all my questions. I don't know how to thank him enough. All in all.....fun was had by all. The Simo's

Rented this house with family to welcome my Marine son back from Afghanistan........original plan was for a week. It was so nice we extended another 3 days. It came to be known as "The Compound".......there was really no reason to leave! Pool, jacuzzi, grill.............absolutely perfect!

We stayed in this home in July 2010; it was perfect for our family of 5! We were in the pool day and night,and practically lived on the patio. The house was comfortable for watching movies or working on puzzles when we needed to cool down! The home is beautifully furnished with some interesting art, yet very child friendly. Other big pluses for us were internet access, outdoor BBQ, washer/dryer, great outdoor furniture. And the owner is very easy to work with. We loved it so much, in fact, that we are renting it again this summer!

As two couples enjoying a week of relaxation and golf, this property was perfect. We enjoyed the interesting decor, the setup of the home and layout of the pool area which allowed us to feel at home and have privacy when necessary. Our arrangements with Clark were worry free and the amenities of the house were perfect. We travel often and I must say this is one of the quietest locations we have ever stayed in especially considering the location which had easy access to downtown Palm Springs, golf courses and all places to walk. The pool and the hot tub area was extremely comfortable and welcoming. We also really enjoyed some of the movies and concert DVD's from the house on the colder evenings. We would certainly stay at this property again.

Our entire family was thrilled with this experience and this home. The house was better in person as the master bedroom is bigger then the picture indicates. The floor plan was perfect for all three couples and keeping our newborn's cries to a minimum for our in-laws. We have wonderful memories from this last week and our so grateful for this last week and rental. We will definitely come back to this house or your other rentals. Really enjoyed working with owner.

I have been going to Palm Springs for over 30 years and using vrbo for the past 15 and this is by far my favorite home. This get away was with 5 other women and everyone of us fell in love with this home....from the location[ central to everything]...the spaciouness of the home....the decorating was beautiful....kitchen well stocked and the pool...patio and outside areas[ lot's of spots to enjoy as a group or areas of seclusion] were so nice that we never left once to go shopping or out to eat ! It was the type of home that beckoned you to remain there and enjoy the comfort and relaxing atmosphere that it provided.
